Trouble...again?

CHAPTER 13: Trouble... Again?

"Sis, Luther's coming!" Tashia squeaked.

Sofia turned to him with a seductive smile. She then looked back at her friends with a 'He'll come to me.' look. The girls giggled. They looked back at Luther, Sofia smiling so widely at him.

But her smile immediately vanished when Luther turned to Yana. "Ianna."

The other girls were in shock and couldn't believe Luther called another girl when his 'girlfriend' was just right beside Yana.

Yana turned to him with a confusing look. "Me? Why?" she said, stuttering consciously about the other girl's gaze.

Luther presented his right hand. "Can I have this dance?" sync with Melo slow music that was just right in time.

Yana turned so red. Fortunately, she's wearing her masque. The other girls dropped their jaws, an 'o' formed in their eyes and lips, looking back at Sofia, then back at Luther. While Sofia's hand is very fist.

Yana saw Sofia's balled fist and her furious face. "I can't dance." It mixes her emotions up, she's confused, her mind and heart tell her two different things.

"Just take my hand, and I'll take the lead." They were looking at each other. Yana badly wanted to accept his hand, but her brain tells her not to because Sofia would surely get hurt.

Then Freya, which is just behind Yana, slightly pushed her to Luther. "Go," she said with a piece of gum in her mouth.

Luther was just a few inches away from where her palm touched Luther's chest from what Freya did. Luther's arms immediately wrapped around her waist.

Luther grabbed her hand and went to the center. He put both her hands on top of his shoulder and his hands on her waist. Yana felt conscious and was just looking down at her shoes. She felt the confusing gazes from the surrounding people.

Everyone was having fun dancing with their partners, but they stopped and went to the side. They focused the spotlight on them and the crowd was just watching them dancing.

A different song played. It was a slow love song.

Luther lifted her face by holding her chin up when Yana was still looking down. Their eyes met. Yana tried to look away and saw Nathan just around the corner looking at them with a teasing smile.

"Look at me in the eyes, Ianna," Luther whispered with his husky chill voice.

"This is wrong, Luther." She said when their eyes met.

"Oh, So it's wrong to have a dance with you?"

"I mean, your partner was at this party. You should've just asked her."

"No." They continued dancing. The crowd enjoyed their dancing and had smiles on their faces.

Fortunately, she's wearing a long gown that covers her feet that are both left. "Oww!"

"Oh, my god! I am so sorry!" Yana exclaimed when she stepped on his foot. "I told you I can't dance."

Luther chuckled. "I don't mind how many times you step on my foot, as long as it's your feet that stepped on mine."

"Stop it. Can't you see I'm terrible at dancing?" She said as it turned her around by Luther.

But unfortunately, her legs crossed, and was expecting to hit her body to the floor and sternly shut her eyes. But like in Disney movies, there's always a knight in shining armor that would save every damsel in distress princesses.

She slowly opened her eyes when she didn't feel the huge awkward fall of hers. Her heartbeat so fast as she saw Luther's face just an inch away from hers. Again, she felt everything stopped, and it was only her and him in the ball.

The face is so clear and soft, so healthy and hydrated. His lips are pink, his perfectly pointy nose. And the dark orbs he has that would drown you to emptiness.

His arms held her waist, it was like it was only made just for her. "Don't be afraid to fall Yana... You know I'll catch you through it all."

They went back to reality when they heard clashes of wine glasses. They both stood up properly when the crowd joined them on the dance floor. The music changed, it was still Melo but beat.

Just around the corner a tall mestizo guy, wearing a blue Americana suit approached Sofia and asked for a dance. Her dark aura face turned to him. "You are so dumpsh*t Liam."

"We can't do anything about it." He answered and grabbed her hands and they proceeded to the dance floor.

"Just relax, Yana," Luther whispered in her ear as they slowly danced.

Yana heaved a deep sigh and calmed herself. She stared at Luther's eyes and let herself lose in his drowning gaze.

Regardless of her starting to enjoy the dance, she's not stepping into his foot. She was so caught up from Luther's gaze and was startled as they turned, it paired her with a different man.

He's wearing this silver suit with a black bowtie. His eyes are hazel. His gaze is serious, and he seems cold. He was just staring at the stunning beauty of Yana's brown eyes. He has thin bow pink lips. And an earring on his right ear. She also noticed his mole on his neck and his Adam's apple that goes up and down.

"Who are you?" asked Yana. But instead of answering the question, it again turned her to other men.

'What in a world is this dance called? I feel dizzy already.'

She likes vomiting. She then looked at the person she had paired with.

"Hey, Ash! Enjoying the party?"

"Yeah. Thanks to you, Liam."

They continued dancing. Liam saw Luther in his peripheral vision that he was staring at them.

"You look stunning, Ash" He leaned to her ear. Yana blushed.

Luther was there frozen, his expressions blank while staring at Yana dancing with Liam. From his position, it looks like Liam kissed Yana.

He became furious when Liam brought his face closer to the woman. And later hugged her so tight.

"Don't kid me. Thanks again." Yana said as she hugged him too.

Luther can't take what he was seeing anymore. He left his partner and went in their direction.

Liam smirked as he saw Luther coming their way, looking like he's about to murder someone.

Yana was turned for the third time again to exchange partners when the lights went off. It was total darkness in the Shangri-La.

Yana fell on the floor when she was hit by someone. "Ouch."

She massages her butt since it was the first one to hit on the sturdy floor. When she was about to stand, she noticed her left glass shoe was gone.

When she stood up, the lights came back. And a girl wearing a heart-shaped tube emerald green dress was struggling on the floor.

'Oh, I think she's the one I crash with. '

Yana spread her right arm to help Tashia to stand up. Tashia then accepted it.

"I am so sorry, Tashia," said Yana.

Tashia just smiled. "No, it was nothing Yana. I need to go to the restroom." She bid her farewell to Yana and proceeded to the ladies' room. Yana just nodded as an answer, then looked around to see where her shoe was.

On the corner, near to her, she saw the guy she danced with earlier. The one with hazel eyes, wearing a silver suit with a bowtie. He was holding a tiny paper bag and was about to head out.

Yana's guts told her he was the one behind her lost glass shoe. So she ran towards the man, holding the other shoe in her hand.

Luther and Liam were calling her, but she didn't turn. She can't lose sight of the man.

"Uhm Mister! Excuse me, Mister!" She was catching her breath, but the man did not hear her.

She halted midway, then the man was nowhere to be found. "Ugh, so dumb!" it frustrated her.

She reaches the outside of the building, but there's not even a single trace of the man. She just let out a deep sigh and sat on the side of the road.

A taxi stopped in front of her. 'I guess I'll just go home. I look dumpsh*t here.'

When she was inside the cab, she noticed something unusual. And something caught her attention that made her heart raced so fast.

When she looked at the rear-view mirror, the cab driver was already looking at her. Staring.
