(Ivan's POV)

I walk up my apartment stairs with Sombra following behind me. I get up into the tent and open the opening in the tent. As I step out the tent Sombra's horn almost ripped through the top of the tent. Luckily Sombra made it out of the tent without ripping anything. I grab a saddle from my Inventory and put it on Sombra. The Kirin bends down to let me get on its back. I rub Sombra's side. I make Sombra look like a motorcycle with my Illusion skill. A little while back I realized that whenever I used the Illusion skill the bar wouldn't go down when the illusion was still activated, so as long as I kept the image in my mind, I can keep the illusion going. I rubbed the back of Sombra's neck and Sombra took off into the streets.

"Slow down Sombra!" Sombra wouldn't listen, it kept running around town. Blurs were flying around me; things were going way too fast for me to comprehend. Sombra ran into a forest and ran into something. Wait I don't live near a forest! I get sent flying off Sombra and flew right into the direction of a tree. I use the wind to catch myself and I fall to the ground. I land on my head without any serious injuries, just a mild throbbing in my head. Thank you Ice Exoskeleton! Next to me I hear a loud scream.

"That was so cool! Where did he come from though?" What? I turn my head to see a boy about my age on his knees and a woman with her hair in a ponytail standing in front of the boy almost like she was protecting him. The woman had cat like tail, on the top of her head was two cat like ears. The boy had short black hair, what really caught my attention were his eyes. They were a misty gray, but I swear I saw little specks of color appear in his eye but would disappear as fast as they appeared. The woman looked like in my direction. Her expression showed a bit of caution, but her eyes showed a bit of worry. Whether it was for me or the boy I couldn't really tell. It was probably for the boy.

I look away and start looking for Sombra. Where was that Kirin? I notice Sombra walking towards me with a slight limp. That's what you get for running around the place. A growl catches my attention. I look towards the noise only to see a homeless woman lying face first on the ground. Her hair was a long greasy mess that reached the floor. The woman starts to pick herself back up her knees. As she stood up tails began sprouting out of her back. Oh, she's not a homeless person. By the time she was on her feet a total of nine tails were coming out of her lower back. She looked directly at me and started growling. I don't know how to feel about this. The woman next to me grabbed my shoulder.

In a desperate tone she started to almost shout at me. "Please, please help us." I look back at the wannabe homeless woman. Her nails suddenly grew ten inches. She started to foam at the mouth.

"Uhm." I notice that a tiny fire was floating at the tip of her nine tails. "You know it's not really my problem." I felt bad for them, but they did really expect me to beat whatever the hell that was.

"Please." She looked like she was about to cry. I get a notification for a quest. I didn't get time to read it because I was too busy getting the one tailed woman off me.

"Fine just take care of my deer." I take out my favorite weapon Retribution. I slowly walk towards the nine tailed women. Behind me I could hear Sombra stomping its hoofs on the ground. The woman rushed me. I split Retribution in half so that it was in its duel wield form.

The woman swipes at my head. I swiftly duck under, but she used her feet to kick me in the middle of stomach. The force of the kick forced me to stumble backwards. Not wanting to waste the chance she ran towards me and grabbed me by the arm. With a flick of her wrist she sent me flying into the air. Flying through all the branches I eventually went past the tops of the trees. Below me I hear a loud crack. Soon the nine tailed women was in front of me. How?

She tried to swipe at the side of my face. I flew backwards and waited for her to fall back down. There is no way she can fly right? To my surprise she flew right towards me. I quickly flew to the side, she quickly followed. I quickly flew under her and stabbed her feet, she let out a feral screech before kicking me in the nose. My head jerked back. She used the chance to grab me by the arms, her hands were engulfed in flames. I felt the ice on my skin begin to melt. The boiling water burned my arms as the ice began to melt. I ignore the pain and sent a wind arrow through her stomach. The arrow pushed her back a few feet, but it looked like it didn't hurt her.. I form a ice cube and rub it on my arms. The burning sensation slowly faded away but I could still feel a bit of pain coming from my arms. The woman sent a few fire balls from her chest.

I easily dodged the fire, but I didn't notice her sneak up behind me. She put her arms around me tightly. I tried knocking her off with the wind, but my attacks wouldn't affect her. Her body slowly turned into fire. The fire crept its way onto my body. I bit my lip as the fire started to engulf most of my body. I flailed my body wildly hoping it would put the fire out. A blunt force suddenly hits me in the back of the head. The force sent me spiraling towards the ground. The branches slow my fall but it wasn't enough to protect me from the ground. As soon as my body hit the ground I bounced a couple of feet into the air. Not wanting to burn I use Wind's Cannon to make a giant crater in the ground. Leaves and dead sticks were sent flying. I roll around in the ground. The fire was quickly put out.

Oh god how Am' I not dead? I had to force myself get back up on my feet.I felt a liquid slowly slide down the back of my head. My vision was blurry. My whole body felt like was hit by a truck and then was put in the oven. I take out a health potion and chug it down. The pain soon faded away but my vision was still a little bit blurry. My health bar was about three quarters full. I look around for the nine tailed women. I sense something aim for my feet. I launch myself to the side. I look behind me to see a hand popping out of the ground. Oh what the hell. The dirt moves and the nine tailed women slowly steps out of the dirt. She looks around for me and quickly spots me. A bit of saliva falls from her mouth.

I raise my swords in front of my chest. She gets on all fours and rushes towards me. I stand still, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. She tries to pounce onto my chest. I use the wind to send a handful of dirt into her eyes. She started clawing at her face. Before she could reach me I use Wind's Cannon to force her onto the ground. She falls face first onto the ground. I run up to her and kick her in the nose. The force of my kick forces her onto her back. I plunge one of my swords into her leg. The woman lets out an ear-piercing screech. I kick the side of her head. She falls on her arm. Her tail suddenly whiped the side of my face. The force of the smack knocked me off balance. She grabbed the hilt of my sword and pulled it out of her leg. The woman threw the sword to the side.

Without a single moment of hesitation, she quickly gets back up and smacks the side of my stomach with one of her tails. She tires to knock my feet from out under me, but the moment the tail started to move I trapped her tail in a pillar of ice. I rush at her with my sword in front of me. I stabbed her in the stomach, not wanting to slow down I use the wind to bring the other half of my sword into the palm of my hand. Soon I was unleashing a furry of slashes onto her. Each slash opening up a wide deep cut. With a single thought I put the ends of the hilts of the swords together to form the double-bladed form. I was twirling the weapon in my hands. I crouch down and swing of the blades across her legs. My arms couldn't keep up with all the swinging I was doing. My arms felt like dying every single time they moved. I stand up and use Wind Slash on her neck.

She staggers to her side and falls to the ground. I rush to her side and stab her in the head. My legs give up and I fall to the ground. I looked at my arms. Parts of my skin were a black, the parts that weren't black were brown or covered with these white bumps. I felt the adrenaline leave my body. I couldn't move my arms. I couldn't even move my neck. I don't think I could move if I wanted to My whole body felt like it was constantly being held down by hot iron. Oh god this hurts.

The woman from earlier walks up to me and grabs my arms. She lifted my body into the air. I get moved to the base of a tree. Her face appeared in my vision. She had a worried expression. She grabs my arms softly. Her hands begin to grow a bright green. I tried to pull away, but she slightly tightened her grip.

"Please don't move. I'm just trying to help." The way she said sounded like she was concerned with my injuries. I got a notification saying I completed the quest.

Oh wow I actually haven't leveled up in while. Actually I don't think I leveled up all since December. I should probably go back to that dungeon at the bottom of the lake, haven't been there in a long time. I was pulled out of my thoughts because the woman started to talk to me.

"So where did you learn to fight?"

"A girl named Jana thought me how to use my swords, but I worked on my powers by myself." I wouldn't have had to train my powers by myself but Anenoid wasn't helping. She nodded and started to hum. Her tail was swinging from side to side. Does she control her tail or does it have a mind of its own?

"How do you control your tail, or do you not have to?" She looked at her tail and responded in a soft voice.

"Well I used to be a cat, so now it's mostly instinct controlling it."

"You were a cat?"

"Well, I'm still a cat. Its kind of hard to explain." She took her hands off my arm. Instead of my arm having those burn marks and those weird white things my arm looked brand new. There wasn't a single sign that it was burnt in the first place. I didn't even feel pain coming from the arm! "Have you ever heard Bakeneko?"

"No." She looked a little disappointed, but she went kept talking.

"The Bakeneko is a Yokai-" Oh god she's a Yokai. I pull away and swiftly crawl away from her.

I realize I left my weapon at the base of the tree. I was way too tired to use the wind to bring it back to me. One of my arms couldn't move at all. I just wanted to collapse on the floor and lay there for the rest of they day. The girl sighed but she didn't do anything else she just stared at me.

"Unlike most Yokai I won't hurt you. I just want to bring demigods to a safe place." She had a soft look in her eyes. It still felt like she was lying. I hear a bush rustle off to my side. Sombra walked out of the bush with the boy from earlier walking by his side. The boy was holding a bag. Sombra wasn't limping anymore. I look back at the woman. Maybe she wasn't lying. I walk back over to her and sit down at the base of the tree. She smiles and grabs my injured arm again. Her hands start glowing again. The boy sat down next to me and reached into his bag. Sombra on the other hand just started running around. I hope you fall Sombra. The boy pulls out a cookie and looks at me.

"You want it?" The cookie didn't look bad, but it also didn't look good either.

"Sure" I bit into it. My mouth was soon filled with a warm liquidly feeling. I looked inside the cookie to see a brown cream oozing out of the cookie. I bit into it again. The tasty cream once again filled my mouth. This is the best thing I have ever eaten. I devoured the cookie in less than a second. Before I could ask for another one the woman asked me a question.

"So, you don't you trust Yokai?"

"Because they always try to fight me or challenge me to a sumo match so that they can crush my hands."

"Weird. They usually go for demigods."

"I'm a demigod." This startled the woman. She looked up at me with a fierce look. A shiver went up and down my spine.

"Who's your godly parent?" Without a second thought I gave her an answer.

"Fūjin." The fierce look in her eyes fades away and was replaced by a soft look.

"Oh. I've never seen you at the camp."

"I've never been at the camp." She let go of my arms and instead put her hands on my shoe. The glow appeared again. My previously injured arm now looked normal. The boy looked at the woman with a curious look in his eyes.

"Wait. Does that mean normal people can have powers too?" The woman began to panic. She wasn't showing it or anything, but I noticed by the way her tail went up into the air. "if you thought he was a normal person why would you ask him for help. Even you couldn't fight it of-

"Michael don't worry about! I just thought he was a demigod from camp, and we did need the help." I didn't expect his name to be Michael. I thought it would be something else.

"But you said-"

"Michael don't worry about it."

"Okay fine." Why not just tell Michael about Soul? I kind of want to tell him. Michael turned in my direction.

"So how did you get your powers?" I don't know.

"Uhh. It just kind of came to me one day."

"Oh." He got up and ran over to Sombra. The woman took her hands off my leg and put her hands on my chest. I look over at my legs. She healed both of my legs without me noticing. Damn, I didn't think I need to be healed this much.

"Are you going to take me to demigod camp?"

"I need your mom's permission." That's going to be a problem.

"The thing is. I have no idea where she is right now." She looked up. She looked like she was about to cry. The woman looks back down.

"So, you're a runaway?"

"Kind of yeah."

"I can take you to the camp then." I suddenly remember that Anenoid told me to stay away from any demigod camps. Meh, it can't be that bad. I watch her as she tried to heal my chest. "I think you healed me enough. Can you stop?" With out a single word she took her hands off me.

"Michael come over here!" Michael along with Sombra ran over to us. Sombra decided to shapeshift into a necklace. The necklace had a lighting bolt hanging by a chain. I don't know why he did this, but it was easy way to move him around while Sombra was a necklace. I pick Sombra up and put it on my neck. The woman commented on Sombra.

"I didn't know Kirins could shapeshift"

"This one can."

"Weird." I hear a whoosh sound behind me. I turn around only to see a brown circle in the air. The woman noticed my confusion. "Don't worry its safe!" She looked at the circle. "Its like a portal." I still don't trust it. The woman looked at the portal and walked through it. I look over at Michael.

"You go first." He looked at the portal.

"Sure!" Once I knew that it was safe to go through, I walked through. On the other side of the portal was a village that looked like it hasn't been touched by humanity for several years. There was mostly cabins but there were also several buildings that were bigger than others. On the other side of the village was a huge colosseum. Behind the colosseum was a hill with a modern looking building on top. Looking around I notice that the village was surrounded by a stone wall. I notice the women and Michael walking into the village. I quickly ran up to them.

As I we walked deeper into the village I notice that most of the buildings were partly destroyed, the people didn't look much better. Most of the people there had grim expressions. Some people looked like they were just crying while there were some others looking at their weapons anxiously. A group of six year olds run by. People shook their heads while some others just started muttering to themselves. As we walked through the village, I notice that the majority of the people looked like they were fifteen with a few being a bit younger. The woman stopped and turned to me. She pointed to a cabin that didn't look destroyed.

"This is the cabin where other children of Fūjin sleep. Just go inside and your siblings should help." I wonder how many siblings I have. I walk up to the door and brace myself for whatever might happen.
