Chapter 4

They gave me a room. And guards. I wait for them to return and tell me who I am.

I lay on the bed on my bed and stare at the ceiling of my dark, quiet room.

The melody of Atlantis calms me down.

It changes suddenly into the melody of a song that wakes up childhood memories.

My mother lays next to my five-year old self in my bed and sings for me.

"All around me are familiar faces,

Worn out places,

Worn out faces..."

My eyes stay on the ceiling.

"You should get some sleep. Tomorrow will be better...", a male voice says inside my head.

"What? Who are you?"

"You will find out soon enaugh.  Now, sleep..."

It's odd. My body somehow feels heavy and I become more and more tired. My eyes fall closed and I drift off...

"Ok, we have the result of the test", the doctor says.

"And is she..."

"Yes."

I take a breath and release it slowly.

Ok, calm down, I tell myself,There's just a woman in your city. A dead woman. "Uff..."

"What?"

"I'm going to talk to her. If you'll excuse me?"

I leave the infirmary and head for the room of Elizabeth Weir.

I knock at and wait...

The knock at the door pulls me out of my sleep.

"C...come in", I say with a voice raspy from sleep.

As I see who it is I sit up straight.

"I'm  sorry, Teyla I-", I stop myself the moment I realise whose name I just said.

"Who is Teyla?", the major asks.

"She is...", I shake my head,"Nevermind..."

She looks at me with a lookthat tells me that I was having no chance. I sigh. "She was a friend of mine... one of my best friends. When I first saw you, I thought I saw her. You really look like her...", I say, looking away.

"Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't know. "

"How could you? That was when? A thousand years ago?", I laugh,"No! I don't even remember everything and I get nearly a heart attack when I see you! Weird huh?"

She smiles gratefully at me and I feel worse. I'm very close to tears and turn my head away so she wouldn't see.

She walks to me and sits on my bed next to me.

"Hey, I don't know how you feel right now, but it has to be weird and very bad. You should know though, that I'm here. I will help you, ok?", the major places her hand on my shoulder and I dash my tears away to look at her.

"Ok."

"We have the results of the test", she says after a while,"You are Elizabeth Weir, even if I have no idea how this is possible..."

I don't say anything, I just pull my legs to my chest and wrap my arms around them.

"I have to go back to work now. If you need me, just ask. You'll find friends here soon, I promise. You can count me to them", she smiles.

"Really", I ask confused,"Thanks maj-"

"Call me El- I mean", she laughes," We have the same name, don't we? Call Ella. My parents gave me that nickname."

"Oh, ok Ella...C...can I stay with Elizabeth?", I look up.

"Sure." Then she leaves.

"What did I say?"

I nearlt jump out of my bed.

"Who.Are.You?!"

But the male voice doesn't answer.

I step through the stargate and I see Atlantis waking up around me, under my feet. It's waking up from a slumber it hold for over ten thousand years. It is as if it is feeling our presence. After everyone is here I call Jack. A bottle rolls through th 'gate and I don't have to look to know what it is. I pick it up and raise it. The stargate closes behind me when I see John on one of the balconies overlooking the gateroom. 'So he came...', I think and nod to him. He doesn't show any emotion. He just clings onto his P-90. I give the bottle to one scientist and follow the marines up the stairs and into a large room with chairs and tables. Iget calls from many stations that I should be looking at something. I leave the room I identified as a conference room and join my military comander at one large window.

"Oh my god...", I say when I see that we are underwater. I should have known. We are in Atlantis! I look at some devices all over the city when Rodney finds a problem. We lose energy. We all think we are going to die. McKay yelled at everyone and...suddenly the city rises! It rises out of the sea! I can see the water running down the windows. The sun shines through the windows and everything glows. That all looks so beautiful. I get the feeling that I would not want to leave this place. Ever...

Sunshine is what is waking me up the next morning. Someone must have been in here because there are laying clothes on my chair and on the table is a pad.

I get up and walk towards the desk. I change my clothes into a red shirt and jeans and pick up the pad. There is a message on it.

Converence room 0800

I hope you know which.

I laugh about the smiley. This woman is really young for that job...

I look around my quaters. No clock. I exit them and look for my guards, but   they must have been sent away.

I see one of the men who found me and eun after him. "Erm...hey!"

He turns around. Somehow he looks like this one man from my dream last night. "What can I do for you?"

"I wanted to ask what time is?"

"0730"

"Oh! Good, than I am not ro late. Do you have to go to the converence room too?", I ask after afew seconds we walk together.

"Indeed. The major said we will be talking about you."

"That's clear. I mean, I would be doing the same."

The rest of the way we are both silent. I just am happy when we finally reach the controll room.

Suddenly I realize that I didn't even ask for his name, but I decide that it is  to late so I wait for the end of the meeting...
