Magic Testing

in the open field, as Aspalis was fast asleep even after that huge explosion, the rest are testing Alcaeus's magic and finding more out about it, while they did test it out before, they never really pushed anything, but this time, they needed to risk it all now.

Camilla:" okay, what do we know about... Alcaeus, what's the name of your magic again"

Alcaeus:" I never really named it"

Sharifa:" really, that's no good, we can't discuss it if it doesn't have a name, what can we call it"

Abigail:" well... since it's used to store and create thing's in it, why not something like... unlimited... smithery... treasury- I- I don't know, someone say something"

Camilla:" well... what about Gate of Infinite Weapons, it's better than nothing"

Alcaeus:"... okay, but let's just call it Gate for short"

Abigail, Camilla, and Sharifa:" agreed"

Sharifa:" so, let's just work on that, so, what do we know specifically about it, Alcaeus"

Alcaeus:" so here's how it works, first I need to imagine the item's rough design, then the material's used to make it, the power, or Magical Energy, that is in it if at all since this only applies to my weapons the building's and item's like food and all that don't need magical energy, then I imagine the abilities it has, then it's a matter of the final touches of the final look and construction of it, and that's as far as I know about it, with this, I can make just about anything, though, I found out that making something out of material that is high quality or an ability that is very demanding or powerful take's more Mana, but that's about it"

Camilla:" hey, you can also open the gate from within eyesight, can't you"

Alcaeus:" yes, it isn't limited to in front of me"

Aspalis:" (yawn) okay, what did I miss"

Alcaeus:" Aspalis, aren't you tired"

Aspalis:" yeah, but I also want to help, I needed a quick nap is all, remember, I did travel with Artemis as well, so I'm no stranger to quick naps and getting back in"

their was more than one occasion where the Artemis only got a hour or less of sleep due to them namely sleeping outside and in nature where mosnter's can attack out of nowhere at any time, so he let Aspalis stay, but would let her rest once they got moving and had nothing more to do to much since she must still be very tired.

Aspalis:" anyway, I have an idea you can test if you want"

Alcaeus:" and that is"

Aspalis:" why not try and see if you can fire your weapon's from your magic circles in the air like casting a fireball attack or a series of attacks like an anti army spell, I think you can fire them since I don't see why not"

Camilla:"... I guess that could work, I mean, as you said why not"

Alcaeus:" okay, I'll try"

Alcaeus then made a gate in the air as he imagined a basic spear, he then imagined the spear was going to be fired in a magic attack like a fireball, and then a new and odd magical power came from it as the circle then emitted magical energy and then, it fired the spear, and when it hit, it was so fast, it was easy to miss, and it hit so hard, it made an explosion smaller, but similar to the arrow Alceaus fired earlier, but far more concentrated where it hit.

Alcaeus:" this... is... AWESOME"

Abigail:" now taking down the dragon's will be a breeze, they said you needed to slay them with a sword, spear, and arrow, but they also never said how"

Alcaeus:"... wait, some nobles would probably get on my case with this, let's confirm it first before we do, just to be safe"

Aspalis:" good idea, knowing nobles, and the man who is betrothed to Makeda, he'll use any and all excuses he can get"

then in the airship, they head to the cat folk kingdom to get their plan to the king and queen. as they are heading there, the king's condition worsen's as he may not make it another day, however, the queen seems impatient for some reason, little do any know, she's waiting for her husband to die so she can be the undeniable ruler.

Bella's thought's:" come on you excuse of a man, you are not worth anything to me in life, so die already, you can't go on anymore, so just die... maybe he needs a little help"

then pouring some poison in his tea, she hand's him a drink that is going to kill him within a minute as she would leave smiling, knowing he will now die, after the king's death, the queen sat on the throne with pride and glee as she was now the one calling the shots, though, she wanted more, meeting with Makeda's current fiance and took him to bed, that way, she can keep him under her finger, she rid him of his soul as she looked out the window and saw as she was able to claim all she can, everything she put up with, everything she sacrificed, and everything she did all the pain, humiliation, and suffering was now worth it as she was now on top, she had little hope that Alceaus would be able to slay the dragon's so she can still use this man for her plans, she now had it all, power, influence, and an entire kingdom in her control, that was when she also saw a flying boat and though she was hallucinating as she had a shocked excretion she couldn't describe.

Bella:"... am I losing my mind or did I really see a flying ship, maybe I drank too much"

then after a few hours, Alcaeus then got a meeting with the queen, though, he looked around for someone.

Bella:" what is it child, what are you looking for"

Alcaeus:" where is king David"

Bella:" hmm... oh, right, he died just an hour ago"

Alcaeus:" oh, I'm sorry for your loss, and Makeda, I'm sorry for you losing your father"

Makeda:" it's okay... I hardly knew him to begin with"

Bella:" all that matter's now is the fact I am now the one in charge now, so if you have business with me, make it fast, I'm busy with my new position as the queen of my kingdom with now being responsible for all the decisions"

Alcaeus then showed and explained his power and plan to kill the dragon's, and Bella got worried, if he was able to use this odd magic he had, then he has a shot, she just got Makeda's current fiance under her finger's, she knew what he was like, she knew she could easily manipulate him if she gave him a little push, and kill him if he steps too far without consequence, but Alcaeus was going to be a problem, so she had to stop him.

Bella:" sorry kid, you can't do this, since it's your magic doing the work, it isn't technically magic as it normally is as these are solid item's being summoned, but it still doesn't count for slaying a dragon with a sword or spear, I'll allow that arrow part of this to count, but the spear and sword are to be done by your hands"

Alcaeus:" alright, thank you, but I can still summon them to use with my hand's to kill them, like if I summer the weapon's to my hand, then I can use the sword or spear right"

Bella:"... since you're using the sword by hand, I'll allow it, it would be wrong to deny your magic if you don't use it to attack the dragon directly, though, I also won't deny you using it to wound the dragon's, you just can't kill them with the magic"

Alcaeus:" alright"

Makeda:"... mother, I wish to accompany Alcaeus on this"

Bella:" what are you taking about"

Makeda:" well... you need someone to confirm his success, right, you know when I lie to you so I can't just give it to him, also... this can help my reputation as well, also... with what he is doing, I can't just sit here, I want to help him if I can"

Bella:"... alright, it would be great for you to learn how he has this... airship you said"

Alcaeus:" yes"

Bella:" I can allow such, it's not like I care much anyway, that necklace you have will keep you out of trouble"

Alcaeus:" and don't worry, I don't plan on hurting your daughter in any way, and to make sure of one thing as well with the other king's and queen's, I also don't plan on sleeping with them until I can marry them all"

Alcaeus's thought's:" though I don't intend to sleep with any of them and let them keep their chastity for who they really want after they can divorce me, but I just need her to-"

Bella:" Oh I don't care at all if she is a virgin in the least"

Alcaeus:" what"

Bella:" all I need from my daughter is for her to marry a man, and that's all, nothing more"

Alcaeus:" ... what about when she was going to be raped by that general"

Bella:" it was a waste of a good soldier, honestly, if the maid only subdued him somehow, he could have been useful"

Alcaeus:" YOUR DAUGHTER WAS NEARLY RAPED AND YOU DONLT EVEN CARE"

Alcaeus got emotional, he yelled, but even he couldn't have stayed calm after what he heard, but Bella didn't care, and even answered him.

Bella:" if I cared for my daughter nearly getting raped, I'd need to care for her to begin with, if she were a capable and confident leader, then I would care, but since she's not worth the crown in my eye's, she's just a disappointment that will be a burden on the kingdom and me so whatever is to happen to her is hardly my concern"

Alcaeus was shocked by what he heard, and worst yet, Makeda was right their, but she didn't cry, she knew this already, he was so angry by it, but he held his tongue as he took Makeda by her hand and then had them all leave immediately.

Alcaeus:" Makeda... are you"

Makeda:" I'm fine... I... I was not loved by my parent's for a long time, when I was little, I was held by my mother at times and we were happy, but... after I turned 10, they turned different, I was shy and very timid, but... they wanted me to be confident and demanding, I wouldn't, and as time went by, my mother never smiled at me, and she even beat me to obey her... I... I know what my mother see's me as, so I can't say it hurts anymore"

Alcaeus hugged Makeda as he was saddened by the sound of her life in the castle, the other's heard this as well and were equally pissed, getting to a mountain range, Alcaeus remembered many good spot's to find dragon's thank's to traveling all over the world thank's to being in Artemis's care, and after finding a safe place to land, he then head's get's ready to head into the mountain range to hunt dragon's.

Camilla:" now then, me, Abigail, and Aspalis will guard the ship, even if we're alone, that doesn't mean that will remain forever, if anyone comes to steal this from us, we'll give them hell"

Sharifa:" and I'll accompany you and Makeda, since I hunted dragon's before I know what I'm doing, though as for how you're going to do it, how will you be able to beat the dragons"

Makeda:" thank you, also... I'm sorry, you're going through all this trouble for me, I don't know how to thank you"

Alcaeus:" thank me by finding your happiness, don't let your mother control your life like she is and don't let her beat you either, be you, and be proud being you, you're kind, considerate, think of others, and don't discriminate against anyone, that kind of person is perfectly fine"

Makeda was inspired by his bold words, she then smiled as she was ready to help as much as she can, though, her mother had other plans.
