Chapter 91: She Has Lost Her Mind

A familiar number displayed on Lisa's phone and she quickly answered. It had been a long time since she heard from the person calling, and she had a feeling that the news this person was going to bring to her was important.

"There's been a change. His sister has moved into the mansion," the female voice said. Lisa was ecstatic. Lately, Luna had been trying to rekindle their friendship. She could once again use the girl as a reason to visit often. "I also heard there were talks of your marriage at dinner," the woman continued. This caused Lisa to smile widely.

"Is there anything else?" Lisa asked, feeling over the moon with excitement.

"Well…" the voice said, and Lisa could tell the woman was reluctant to speak. Sensing the woman's apprehension Lisa directly transferred $5,000 to the woman's account. The instant transfer caused the woman's phone to buzz in her hand and when she looked at the notification, she regained her courage to speak. "He also moved an unknown woman into the house."

"Who is she?" Lisa asked. She was unsure if she should be nervous, upset or both

"I don't know," the voice admitted.

"Find out more and call me back."

----

On the way to the hospital, Mina tried her best not to attack President Lee in the car. She knew that she would not be able to overpower him, and it was likely that he would not kill her in front of his driver. Once they arrived, she thought about running, but he had already caught her in the past and was faster than her. So, Mina told herself that she would do anything not to return to the mansion. Maybe if she annoyed him enough, he would let her rent an apartment nearby. President Lee had already made it clear that he would not kill her, and she knew it meant he could not kill her.

----

Inside the director's office, President Lee introduced Mina as a business associate.

"This is Mina Harlow, her position within the Lee Group is private and important," President Lee said.

"I want her to have a full physical today, also a psychiatric evaluation."

"A what?" Mina shouted. Causing the director to look at her with bulging eyes. President Lee ignored her and continued speaking to the director.

"As you can see, she has lost her mind." The director could only agree, the woman had shouted at the spawn of the devil. Of course, he would never call the man that to his face.

"Don't worry sir, I will have Dr. Juan attend to her. As you know, he is thorough and efficient," the man said.

With the press of a button, Dr. Juan's voice could be heard through an intercom system on the director's desk. The Doctor entered the office a short while later, he respectfully greeted President Lee and shot a quick glance in Mina's direction. President Lee reiterated his request to Dr. Juan who nodded attentively. They continued to speak around Mina.

"Also, she had a seizure about three weeks ago and she often falls into long periods of deep sleep which produces a fever. Figure out the cause and treat it," Ian said.

"I had a what?" Mina asked incredulously. "Why didn't anyone tell me?" Everyone in the room ignored her, they were truly treating her as if she were crazy. After a brief silence, Dr. Juan gestured for Mina to follow him. She was of course very unwilling. Dr. Juan had already treated Mina in the past, but she was too weak to even wake up at the time. Having some experience with victims of PTSD, he tried to calm her.

"Miss... Mina? I presume," He said. "My staff is entirely professional. Please rest assured." Mina was not assured.

Seeing that the girl was still uncomfortable, Dr. Juan left Mina in the director's office to get someone he thought Mina would feel more comfortable with. Shortly after, a young woman entered the office.

"Director, is our morning appointment in here?" She asked before turning to Mina, "Oh there you are," she said, while walking over to Mina and linking arms. "Let's hurry up and get you seen. Dr. Juan has surgery later today, so we can't be idle." Swallowing her pride, Mina followed the woman out of the office; she did not want to stop Dr. Juan from saving lives because she wanted to annoy President Lee.

"How long will this take?" Mina asked curiously, and the nurse told her it would take a few hours.

Once Mina was out of earshot, President Lee instructed the director to keep a close watch on Mina, he planned to go into his office and come back to pick her up.

"She is not to leave this hospital unless I come to fetch her personally," President Lee warned.

----

While Mina was being tended to by the nurse, Dr. Juan entered the treatment area. He instructed one of his medical staff to draw blood samples from her and have the result ready within an hour. The nurse, who seemed to be no older than Mina, was quick and efficient. She did not ask questions and Mina barely felt the needle when her blood was being taken. Dr. Juan kept his distance from the girl, and only allowed his female staff in and out of the room. After what seemed like an eternity, she was finally done, or so she thought.

Mina, who thought she was being escorted back to the director's office to find President Lee, found herself walking into the psychiatric ward of the hospital. She had thought President Lee was joking but apparently, the hospital director did not. A middle-aged woman met her in the corridor, and she led Mina into a room that was too obviously designed to be inviting. Being that Mina had never had a psychiatric evaluation before, she decided to make the most of her time there.

The psychiatrist asked Mina several questions, which Mina answered to the best of her ability. She was then given a questionnaire to complete, unaware that her reaction while filling out the form was being observed. Mina snorted and laughed at some of the questions and each time the woman before her made a mental note. After two hours, Mina was done. She had barely spoken to the psychiatrist and felt as if she wasted her time. Mina left the woman's office, only to find no one waiting.
