She is mistaken for a spy, by one of the most influential families in the country and held captive as the confusion, mishaps and misunderstandings build up all around her. Under the extreme circumstance, Mina is thrown into despair, hatred and love all that the same time, but will the experience break her or make her ‘better?’ 

(This story is set in a fictional, modern day patriarchal society on the brink of a shift public opinion on the 'role' of the woman.)

When a Genius Makes a Mistake

Cylus was about to open the room door and rip the people getting involved to shreds when his heart skipped a beat. He knew that voice, he had buried those sounds deep within his memory.


Cylus released his hold on the handle and walked away. He did not want to see Lisa like that. He remembered how innocent she had been when they were together, and how shy she was any time he touched her.


Cylus' stomach felt sick when he thought of how much Lisa was willing to do for President Lee, and apparently shoving aside her comfort was one of them. He shook his head in absolute disbelief of how far she had bent to fulfill that horrible man's needs. He had moved a mistress of some sort into his home, he had likely been beating and torturing the girl, and Lisa seemed to enjoy it all.
