Chapter 279: Sexy Contact Spy

Tavin Bell sat in his hospital room, still dizzy from the effects of the sedative he was given. Apparently, the drug was hospital grade and in combination with the alcohol he drank and the alcohol he had already consumed, the stuff could have killed him.

He could not help but to think of the woman who the drink was meant for. If she had taken just a few sips, she would have been out cold in minutes. Had she consumed the full drink; she would have likely asphyxiated. He wondered who could have been so cruel, but he did not know much about the rivalries of women.

Tavin remembered the woman who helped him calling herself Harley or something like that. He had not bothered to ask CEO Rue to help him contact the woman out of fear that it might get her into trouble. The woman said she was a friend of Luna's, but she must have lied, because still, Luna had not come to visit.

Lisa felt like her world was spiraling out of control, her cycle was late, but she was too scared to take a pregnancy test. Her boyfriend had kicked everyone out of his mansion, leaving just him and Mina at the property alone, and she could not even retaliate because Mina held the key to her pleasing Director Porter.

The only thing that had remained unchanged, was Shai Cal's obsession with her. After what happened at the charity event, he had been calling to check in on her nonstop. He had even sent flowers to her office, which Lisa did not mind because everyone assumed they were from Ian.

Lisa was so conflicted that she did not even have the strength to look for Ian. If she were heavy, but Ian was with Mina, she no longer had the confidence that he would do the right thing and marry her.

However, Lisa still had Luna, who had called to apologize the night before. She too had heard that Ian and Mina were building a love nest, but no matter how she tried, her brother would not let her enter his home.

That left Lisa with only one thing to do. Continue to work hard until Mina's relationship with Luna's ex-boyfriend revealed itself to Ian. It would not take long, and all Lisa had to do was wait. However long it took, she would wait.

President Lee looked between Mina, and her teenage accomplice and tapped his foot on the ground in frustration. The boy was not a threat, but the website that was dedicated to 'sexy contact spy', had to go. There were many reported 'sightings' of Mina, but all of them were blurry images of a look alike. However, Brandon's photos were genuine.

Not only that, all of Brandon's friends, who had also helped Mina, posted their own candid images of the woman. One teen even went into detail about where Mina was when they spotted her, and where they had left her.

"Do you know what you have done?" President Lee asked Mina. She sat with her head down like a puppy who was caught eating from the trash.

"I don't have any control over that," Mina said. She had finally started to feel the weight of her actions. Not just for herself but for everyone else.

"Dom," President Lee said, "Mina is your friend. Can you explain it to her, so that she believes it?" Dom was not sure what he should say, but he figured he was being asked to make Mina feel bad, and he was oh so willing to do that.

"Mina, what you did was not only reckless, but you put others at risk. The child next to you, and the other children who helped you are now in danger because they posted current photos of you, along with your location. Do you understand?" Mina nodded slowly.

"Can we protect them?" Mina asked.

"No," Ian replied. "I cannot just make four teenagers disappear." Mina felt her chest burn, and Brandon looked like he was going to faint from the weight of reality.

"What about me?" Brandon asked.

"I will send you to a facility to see if I can find any use for you." Brandon tried hard to keep the sorry look on his face, but he was called out. "Also, I know you lied for her." Brandon looked up and went to speak but President Lee held up his hand. "Before you speak, know that we tracked your phone's GPS coordinates." Brandon cursed. "You're good with computers, but not good enough. I'll send you for proper military training."

"Thank you," Brandon whispered reverently. Which shocked Mina. All of it shocked her.

"It won't be easy, and if you fail, there will not be a second chance," President Lee clarified. The teen nodded enthusiastically.

"Can I go say goodbye to my father? It's just us two." Now Ian was shocked by the boy's reaction. "I know who you are," Brandon said. "My father wants me to be like you."

After speaking with Brandon for a while longer, President Lee allowed the boy to bid farewell to his father and promised to make an appearance to make the old man happy. He then turned his attention back to Mina, who looked sick with unease. She clearly did not like the agreement being made with Brandon.

"and you," President Lee said to Mina. "You will inform your boss that at the conclusion of thirty days, you will not renew for a full year. You will come and work for the Lee group," Ian said with satisfaction. He knew only she would see his offer as a punishment.

Cylus and Oric sat across from one another at a dinner table. The conversation they were having was uncomfortable, but it still needed to be had. Oric was interested in Mina as more than a friend, and so was Cylus. It was the first time that either man had laid eyes on the same woman. Usually their tastes were complete opposites, but Mina had made an impression on Oric and his father, the same way she had made an impression on Cylus and his mother.

"We do this the fair way. No bad mouthing one another. We each try our best and let Mina choose," Oric said. He was getting closer to an age where his parents were bringing up marriage daily, and he could see himself with Mina, although he would have to carefully navigate the whole Willow thing.

"And if she does not choose?" Cylus asked. He knew it was a possibility that the women would not give either man the time of day.

"We move on," Oric said.

"With no bad blood between us?" Cylus asked. He liked Mina, but Oric was like a brother to him.

"Come on man... I wouldn't have asked to meet with you if I wasn't worried about losing you as a friend." Cylus nodded and extended his hand.

"When do we start?" He asked.
