Chapter 486: Do You Concede?

Earlier in the trip, Drax had told Mina that he wanted to have a surprise romantic dinner with Mills, and she agreed to help him set it up. It was part of the reason she did not mind going to the beach without the men they came with. She figured the time would give the man the freedom to prepare without Mills' knowledge.

What Mina did not realize was how much chaos they were going to cause by leaving their phones behind. It was meant to be a lesson, and they were not to wander too far away. The women had genuinely believed that they would be found since they had travelled within walking distance. Everything else that happened was beyond foresight, and Mina was starting to think that she was an extreme variable.

Now, Mina had just been forced to confront something that had been plaguing her since it happened. It was okay that President Lee did not trust her, but it was not okay for him to question her about something so sensitive. Especially because he knew that without her memories, she was completely in the dark about what happened.

"We're switching rooms," Mina said to Mills who was quietly walking beside her. "Don't worry, they don't know who sent the dancers, but apparently it was enough to make them want separate sleeping areas. Mina was lying, but there was no reason she should ruin Mills' surprise.

"About what happened back there-"

"It wasn't your fault. I knew I was going to get caught eventually. To be quite honest, he handled that better than I thought he would." Mills was staring at Mina, because she knew the woman was so much more than a financial advisor, or at least she had the potential to be.

----

Moved into the single suite, Mina allowed Mills to shower first, telling the woman that she wanted to rest a bit before bathing. Mills did not question her, and as soon as she was sure the woman was in the shower and dedicated to washing; Mina opened the door to Drax and a few waiters.

"Thank you for this," the man said. He knew that Mina could not have been thrilled about sharing a suite with Ian, and he was also sure the man would not sleep in the car, afraid to leave Mina alone. Even he did not trust Mina, and he had no reason not to.

"Just make sure you don't do anything that makes her shoot me later." Drax smiled at the woman, finally seeing what Mills liked about her. Mina, like him, accepted Mills for the person she was, and for the first time he was grateful the women met.

"We might be a little late. We are going to watch a movie too." Mina nodded.

"If you haven't already picked a title, Mills told me she wanted to watch 'Grand Paradise.' Drax flinched but held in his laughter because he did not want to alert Mills to his presence just yet.

"Noted," he replied.

----

Mina showered and made her way to the shared area of the suite. She opened a menu, and knowing who was paying for it, ordered as much food as she felt she deserved. When the doorbell rang, Mina was shocked to see President Lee come out of the other room. It had been so quiet that she thought she was alone. He opened the door, and watched the food being brought in before telling the men and women that they would not be needed to serve anything. Mina did not need to be waited on, so if President Lee thought he was punishing her, he was an idiot.

She rolled her eyes, flipping on the television before pulling the cart toward her. There was no need to eat at the table because she was eating alone. Suddenly president Lee plopped on the cushion opposite hers and she felt the onset of a headache.

"I was wrong."

"As always," Mina quipped.

"I shouldn't have brought that up."

"Yet, you did." Mina opened one of the silver trays and licked her lips greedily at the still sizzling salted fish. She let a smile play across her face, completely ignoring her unwanted company. She dug her fork into the fish but was interrupted by the sound of a stomach gurgling. She glared at President Lee, who had somehow trained his bowels to ruin her mood. "Do you want some?" she asked through gritted teeth. Being hungry was not something Mina could ignore because she knew the feeling well.

"Can't. Remember, you're the one who diagnosed me." Mina cut her eyes away from the man who had leaned in as he was speaking.

"I'm not a doctor,"

"No, but I spoke to my doctor after we had that talk, and you were right."

"So, you hadn't brought it up with her before?" Ian narrowed his eyes; he was concerned with how Mina knew his physician was female. "Relax, I guessed. You must have been embarrassed to talk about your bodily functions, so I assumed, and it looks like I was correct." President Lee's stomach made more noises. "Does it still work? What I showed you?" Ian shook his head and Mina slid a bowl of something in his direction.

"What is it?"

"It's vegetable stock. Maybe your brain will work better if you weren't skipping meals." Ian was wary, but he took slow sips of the hot broth while Mina scrolled through the locked titles, making his eyes widen.

"What are you doing?" He asked curiously.

"Mills mentioned a movie, I want to see what kind of films women like her like."

"Don't," Ian said more aggressively than he meant to. Mina rolled her eyes, once again irritated by the man.

"I'll watch what I want." Ian snatched the control from her hands and Mina glared at him. "Why are you always trying to ruin my day?" Annoyed by the accusation, Ian decided to let Mina do as she pleased.

"If you watch the movie in its entirety, I will allow you to go back to your apartment as soon as we land."

"Deal," Mina shouted as she reached for the control.

"But if you can't, you rent the apartment to your friend's and stay in my mansion." Mina scoffed; she was fine with that. It was just a movie. How bad could it be? She agreed and President Lee made himself comfortable with a pillow on his lap before turning to face her.

"The television is that way," Mina said mockingly, but Ian smiled telling her that she was the real entertainment. Disgusted, Mina found the title and switched it on.

The movie began innocently enough, and despite the horrible casting and bad acting, the storyline was progressing well. Mina could see a smirk begin to form on President Lee's face, and where she had at first been confused, she suddenly discovered why. Her eyes widened and she fumbled for the remote control.

Mina shielded her eyes asking President Lee to let her off, but he reminded her of their bet, asking her if she wanted to concede. Mina whimpered before facing the screen, but she did not watch the dirty movie, she focused her orbs elsewhere, while President Lee chuckled in the background.

Eventually Ian's attention was pulled to the film, he watched the motions of the man and realized that he had a lot to learn. When he had been trying with Lisa, he had been aiming for the wrong spot entirely. Something he was glad for now that he knew that he did not want her. He could also see where he went wrong with Mina.

Shocked, Ian's eyebrows furrowed, and he fumbled for the control, but Mina grabbed it. She had been able to focus her eyes on something else, so she had not seen much, but she could hear, and from the sounds of things, the woman had been kicked out and was replaced by another man. She flashed a toothy grin at President Lee, who looked sick to his stomach.

"Do you concede?" Mina asked triumphantly.
