Study place

Corey rolled his eyes, when he saw the caring look his brother gave him.

"Are you serious? You look at me like you care, but you wouldn't let me go home and change?"

"Nope, we have somewhere to be." Cole grabbed Corey's wrist, dragging his brother along with him.

"God, calm down. My knee." Corey cursed at his brother, hissing from the pain.

Cole stopped mid step and turned around. His eyes gave out a clear look of excitement. "Sorry, but I just know you will love the place I'm taking you."

Corey sighed, as his twin pushed him forward. Taking him to the car, forcing him into the passenger seat.

"You are hurt, so I drive." Cole was quick to explain, before he closed the car door for his brother. Hurrying to the other side and seated himself in the driver's seat.

Corey looked out of the window, looking at the houses they passed by. All blurred from the speed of the car. The sun wasn't shining, but it wasn't raining. There were thick white clouds, hovering in the sky. Making it impossible for the sun to penetrate them, so it could shine across the city. But still, it wasn't dark and grey. The white clouds spread light across the city.

"Where are we going?"

"Don't worry, I will take you to our new study place."

"New study place?" Corey glanced over at his brother, who was focused on the road. He felt sceptical about it all. They had talked about finding a place where they could study, outside of school and not at their house.

Still he had a hard time to comprehend that Cole actually had found a place. A place for them to take a break from all the hopes and expectations. From their parents, who had both of the twins' life set out.

It all had worked out with Chris, twenty three years old, married with two kids. Working at the family's law firm. His wife, named Beth, was a stay at home mom. A housewife, the kind of woman their parents wanted for all three of their kids.

A plan. One plan. One exact plan for all three of them, with small details, specifically made for the individuals. No. Robots that were the three brother's.

Ashton sat in the backroom of the store. Sorting comics, based on the store's criterias; Female lead comics on one side, which would later be sorted into creators and genres. The same rules applied to the male lead comics.

Katie had placed him there, for the reason of today's date and how it affected the boy.

Since Katie has known him for such a long time, they have become more than employer and employee. For Ashton Katie was like the mom he didn't have when he grew up. She was 14 years older than him, just as his long gone mom.

Katie saw Ashton like the child she could never have.

They shared almost everything with each other, because they feel safe in the other's presence.

The shop was run by them both, even though Katie was the owner.

Katie handled the money and often stood behind the counter.

Ashton was in charge of the comics and collectables, since he possesses more knowledge in that area.

Katie had questioned him, more than once, why he didn't choose art as his major in college. But Ashton never answered, he had his reason and his friends. Well, they made a choice, choosing to stay by his side. No matter what.

They left their future on hold, just to make sure that Ashton stayed together and didn't become individual pieces, scattered all over campus.

When his friends told him that they would also major in political science, Ashton had been strongly against the idea. Trying to make them change their minds.

But that was for no use, they had made a decision. He couldn't argue with that. Since he was always advocating for the fact that people make their own decisions.

'Do never ask them to change, because it's not your place.'
