Deal with the Church

(Y/N)'s House

3rd Person POV

On the sofa in the living room, Tohru, Artoria, Kohaku, and (Y/N) sat in silence. Waiting for their guest for the evening to arrive.

"Master, are you alright?" Asked Artoria.

"You haven't said a word since you sat down." Kohaku added.

The young devil sat with his arm rested up on the back of the couch, his head hung back as he looked up at the ceiling. "I'm fine." He said.

A silver Gremory magic circle appeared before them, releasing stardust as Grayfia appeared through the light. "Greetings Azure Dragon Emperor." She greeted with a bow.

"Hey." He simply waved.

"Where are Rias and Miss Argento?" Grayfia questioned as she looked around the room.

(Y/N) simply sighed. "They found I'm engaged. So they're mad. Now they won't talk to me." He informed, leaning forward, revealing a red hand marks on his face.

"I see." Grayfia said.

"But, on the plus side, they're sleeping in their own rooms for once! So hey, silver lining!" He cheered halfheartedly.

"I believe you've taken two steps forward and one step back, Sir (Y/N)."

He merely sighed in response. "Yeah...Probably. But it's kinda progress...Right?"

"Again, two steps forward, one step back." Grayfia repeated.

(Y/N) slummped his head down. "Right..."

"Mister (L/N)..." Tohru leaned closer to her master as she whispered. "How do you know this woman?" She asked.

"She helped me get to Rias's Engagement Party after we lost the Rating Game with Riser Phoenix. She even restored my eye and arm which were burnt out and cut off, so she's cool." He explained.

"Greetings. I am Grayfia Lucifuge. I am a maid in service to the Gremory Family."

"Hello. My name is Tohru. I am a maid in service of the (L/N) family." Tohru bowed back.

Grayfia hummed. "In truth, that's what I'm here about. To see if you're capable." She said.

The Dragon Girl looked confused, and somewhat offended. "What?"

"She's here to see train you. I don't know jack squat about maids, so she's here to see if you can actually do it." (Y/N) explained as he rose up from his seat. "Trust me, this was Rias's idea. I honestly don't really care. But, she's my master so I've gotta." He shrugged in defeat.

"Indeed. Rias has informed me on the situation and had asked for my assistance on Sir (Y/N)'s behalf." The Ultimate Queen informed. "However, I do owe Sir (Y/N) a favor for saving my sister-in-law. So this is the least I could do."

"You did?" Tohru asked. "What'd you do?"

"I crashed the engagement party of a shit-spewing burnt piece of chickenshit. Turned him to cinder." He explained. "How is he, by the way?"

"Still recovering." Grayfia informed. "Still a smoldering cinder."

"Neat. Anywho, let's get this started, yeah?"

"Indeed. I shall begin the training immediately." She bowed to the young devil before turning to Tohru. "First, we'll start with what you've chosen as a uniform and why it's...Incorrect."

"Great idea!" Tohru smiled, reaching into her apron and handed her master a flyer for a maid cafe. "Here you go."

(Y/N) and Grayfia analyzed the flyer, only to be confused and concerned.

"It says Maid Cafe Cozy, see?" She smiled.

"What the fuck is this?" He asked.

"I discovered some real-life maids while on my way here." Explained the Dragon.

Grayfia sighed. "It appears we'll need to start from scratch." She said. "Next, we'll take a look at the different roles a maid may be assigned. First is House Maid: You clean the estate."

"Oh, I'm good at cleaning!" Cheered Tohru. She opened her mouth wide, her Dragon teeth bared as she charged a magic blast, only to unleash it all over the living room and kitchen. Within the giant flash of light, everything down to the last spec of dust was completely erased, leaving the floor and walls shining brilliantly. "How's that?" She asked proudly.

As (Y/N) stood dumbfounded and in utter shock, he quickly realized everything was gone. "No! My house!"

"One moment." Tohru summoned a pair of magic circles and restored everything back to the way it was.

"You can put it back?!" He asked in shock.

"Next, Laundry Maid: You do the laundry." Said Grayfia.

"I can handle that, too!" She declared. She quickly removed her mater's school shirt and put the whole thing in her mouth, processing to swish it around. "I can produce a saliva that specifically removes stains." She muffled as she pulled out the slobber covered shirt.

"Gross! Nobody want to see that!" (Y/N) yelled.

"Parlor Maid: Greet People..." Grayfia said, showing her irritation through her slowly diminishing patience.

"Easy thing for me!" Winked Tohru.

The front door suddenly opened and a tired and exhausted Isabela and Siris entered.

"Man, I'm beat..." Isabela groaned as she stretched her shoulder and neck.

"I think we've applied to every single place that has an opening since we've been here." Siris said.

The two former servants looked forward and instantly noticed the hostile and murderous aura emanating Dragon Maid.

"THE FOOLISH, INFERIOR HARLOTS ARE NOT WELCOME AT THIS HOME!!!" She growled violently.

"Hey!!" (Y/N) barked.

"Oh, you're an exception of course, Mister (L/N)!" She assured.

"I should fuckin' hope so! It's my damn house!!" He yelled.

"Lastly...Kitchen Maid...You cook..." Sighed Grayfia, a hand on her face in defeat.

"Cooking is my specialty!" Tohru assured proudly. She ran to the kitchen with haste, hunched down and grunted. After a few moments, fire erupted from behind the counter.

"What are you-?" (Y/N) began to asked, only to watch as she slammed a plate of perfectly cut, circular shaped, cut of meat in front of him. The bone still in the middle and the outside cooked, yet not the inside. "What in the-?!"

"Try my very own roasted tail!"

(Y/N) simply cringed at the sight, slowly feeling nauseous at the sight. "...No thanks."

"Huh?" Tohru asked with heartbreak.

"No way!" He replied sternly.

"Wha-?!" The Dragon became shocked by her master's decline. "Would you prefer it well-done instead?" She asked.

"That is NOT this issue here!!" Replied the young devil.

"Then I'm confident you'll enjoy it immensely!!" She assured with a cute pose.

"I'm not a cannibal, and I have my ethics. I'm not eating Dragon tail!"

"Ah-hah!" Tohru changed her pose. "Seems you're a picky eater, Mister (L/N)!"

"Yeah, sure, let's go with that..."

Within mere seconds, Tohru began chowing down on her own cooked tail. Her growling grew more violent as she began to eat more larger bites.

(Y/N) and everyone else simply watched in horror.

With a final gulp, Tohru simply stood motionless until her tail dropped down again.

"That shit grows back?!" (Y/N) questioned.

"It took longer than usual because I had to remove all the poison." She explained.

"THAT SHIT WAS POISONOUS?!" He questioned loudly. He released a heavy sigh and shuffled his way back to the couch. Plopping down as he ran his hand across his face. "Okay...I don't know how else to say this. But, you can't maid."

"I second that." Grayfia added.

Tohru gasped from shock. "Then, I'll learn from the ground up!" She declared.

"It appears we must of you truly want this position." Grayfia informed. "Tell us Sir (Y/N), what are your dislikes?" She asked.

"Dislikes?" He pondered. "I can't do, (D/F) or (D/F). Or even (D/F) for that matter. Just something about it makes my stomach all kinds of messed up." He informed.

"Interesting. I'll remember that." Tohru said. "Personally, I dislike eggs when the yolks have been removed. A while back, I had a friend named Herensuge who was hit with one and killed." She claimed

"Jesus, that's a powerful egg." He shuttered. "Hold on. Why my dislikes?" He asked. "Shouldn't you be asking what I do like?"

"No, it's bad luck." Tohru and Grayfia said in unison.

"There are many who have fallen victim to the things they've favored above all else." Grayfia informed. "To put it simply; Giving into Greed can lead to one's own demise."

"Unfortunately, I've had far too many friends slain by the very things they love most. You know, liquor and women and jewels and such." Tohru explained.

"Yep, sounds like anyone else honestly." (Y/N) agreed.

"However, I can certainly let you know one thing I like! It's you! I love you, Mister (L/N)!!" She declared with utter devotion and passion.

"...You wanna eat me?" (Y/N) worried.

"No, not like that! Like sexually!" The Dragon Maid explained.

The young devil's face lightly flared up. "How is that even possible?! We barely even know each other!!" He said.

"Love at first sight!!" She added.

"That's not a thing!!" He replied. "It isn't real!!"

"Please Mister (L/N)! I can't put a label on what I feel for you! You saved me, and I'll use my whole body to replay the favor!" She proclaimed, her black dragon wings sprouting from her back. "Please use me to commute to school again tomorrow!" She begged.

"Yeah no." The young devil declined. "No matter how I sat, you're still too hard for me to ride."

"Gimme a chance, Mister (L/N)!" She pleaded. "I was raised to pay back all favors, even if they were only owed to a foolish, inferior human being!"

(Y/N)'s right eye twitched in irritation. "Call me crazy, but I sense biased. Especially since I'm not even a human." He turned to the Dragon Maid, a serious look on his face. "Tohru, there's a reason I can't ride you to school."

"Your back?"

"Well, that's one. But, it's because I can't keep coming out of the woods every day to head to the main building. And that's the only safe place for you to land. Eventually, someone's gonna notice and spot us. Sorry. But it's not happening." He explained. "Also, you're too loud and too fast. Someone'll pick up on that too."

The Ultimate Queen rose her hand. "May I make a suggestion?" She asked. "Based on what I've seen, I believe it may be a more proper role for someone with Tohru's capabilities to remain at the estate and protect it alongside Lady Artoria and you're familiar." She advised the Azure Dragon Emperor.

He hummed through his thoughts. "So she'd be holding down the fort?...I'm okay with that."

"Fort? What?" Tohru asked.

"You're one of the stronger Dragons in your world, aren't you? I can sense your magical energy, it's pretty terrifying, not gonna lie." (Y/N) said.

"If you consider "starting Armageddon" strong."

(Y/N) immediately grew worried. "I guess, and please don't. Look, the city-hell, the world's a dangerous enough place as it is. And having a powerful Dragon flying around all willy-nilly could just attract some unwanted attention." He said, remembering the instances with Bustra and Hibiki. 'Especially like those guys.' He thought. "Look, I think it's just better if you stayed here and watched the place until it'd be necessary. You know, like a last resort. A trump card."

Tohru gasped at her master's notion. She pounded her chest with pride, she large breasts jiggled upon contact and smiled with sheer joy. "Yes, I understand! So consider it done!"

"So pretty." Everyone mumbled in unison.

(Y/N)'s phone buzzed from his pocket. He pulled it out and was angered at the caller's ID. "Excuse me, I gotta take this. I'll be right back." He assured as she left the room and accepted the call. "Hey, if it isn't the mother fucker who threw me under the bus and left me for the wolves! What's up?" He greeted with spite.

"Damn, somethin' bad happened after I left, huh?"  He asked.

"Yeah, Rias and Asia were pissed. Now they won't talk to me. So you know, fuck you for that." He hissed back.

"What? I thought it'd be funny!" Issei laughed.

"Screw you. What do you want?"

"You remember that client we had last time?"

"Foreign guy, black hair, blonde tips?"

"Yeah, he contacted me a little while ago. Said he wanted our company for tonight. Something about late night fishing."

(Y/N) sighed at the idea. But realized some peaceful night fishing could help ease his nerves. "That actually sounds pretty nice. Sure. I'll head over soon. Go head over ahead of me."

"Already on it. Later!' He said before he hung up.

He entered the living room once again and explained. "Issei and I got a call from a client. Got a summoning to do tonight."

"Summoning?" Tohru looked to her master in quizzically.

"If you have a request then by all means. I can take things from here." Grayfia assured.

"You sure?"

"Absolutely." She said, placing her hand on Tohru's shoulder, gripping it tightly as possible to the point where the Dragon Maid began to wince in pain. "I'll drive everything there is to know about being a proper maid into this one. You have my word."

"Ooo-kay, I'll just...Leave you to it then." Accepted as he began to head to the door. "Artoria, show them around, tell them the usual routine on cleaning and stuff. I'll be back soon...Maybe. Don't wait up! Night!" He bid as he closed the door.

Fisherpond

The young devil landed nearby the meeting place, hiding away his devil wings as he spotted Issei and the client already at a spot and their lines cast.

"Hey." (Y/N) greeted as he approached Issei and the client.

"Hey there, glad you could make it." The client greeted.

"Appoligies for being late. I had some personal stuff to take care of." He appoligized.

"Uh oh, trouble in paradise?" He asked teasingly.

(Y/N) halfheartedly laughed in response. "I wouldn't call it "Paradise", but yeah, kinda."

"Well, no worries. Glad you could make it." The client assured, handing the young devil a pole. "Here."

(Y/N) took the fishing rod and began to set it up.

"Your buddy just got done telling me about what happened today."

(Y/N) looked to Issei with irritaion, only to see him chuckle awkwardly. "Did he tell you about the part were he threw me to the wolves and left me there?"

"Oh come on, man. It couldn't've been that bad." Issei laughed.

"You'd be surprised how effective the silent treatment when it comes from your master and a former sister." (Y/N) replied.

"Yikes, that bad, huh?" The client asked.

"Well, it ain't pretty." He claimed as he tossed his line out.

The client let out a hearty laugh. "You shouldn't worry too much. Especially in your case. Most guys would give anything to have a fiancé at your age. And from what Devil Boy over here told me, she's quite the looker. Word is you two grew up together?"

"Until she moved away, yeah." (Y/N) replied. "Besides, it's not like she'll want to keep it that way after tomorrow."

The client looked slightly confused. "Oh? How so?"

(Y/N) sighed. "Even if we are, quote on quote "engaged", I highly doubt she'll still want to. She's a devout believer, just like her parents. She's very open and affectionate with people she's close too. But once she finds out I'm a devil, she'll probably never want to see me again. Which is probably for the best." He said, somewhat disappointed by the truth. "She's a wonderful girl. She should be with someone who's just as great as her. And trust me when I say, it's not me."

Issei and the client simply stared at the young devil.

He sighed heavily. "Sorry. I've just got a lot on my mind right now. I didn't mean to bring down the mood."

"It's a bit unusual to see a devil so worried, isn't it?" The client asked.

(Y/N) halfheartedly laughed. "Well, I'm a bit unusual myself. But I suppose you're right."

The client smiled assuringly. "Things in this world usualy turn out the way you want them to. Stress about the future is a waste of time." He claimed. "Just wait it out for a bit. Things'll change."

(Y/N) simply looked off into the distance and stared at nothing. 'Hasn't done me any good so far. So I guess there really isn't a point, huh?'

"Besides, if Irina really loves you like she said, then you shouldn't worry about it, dude!" Issei smiled.

(Y/N) hummed in responce.

(Y/N)'s pole bobbed, indicating his got a bite, yet it went unnoticed.

"Oh. Looks like you've got a bite on that hook! Pull him in." The cleint notioned.

(Y/N)'s House

The next morning arrived and (Y/N) was in the middle fo his morning routine. 'We've got our meeting with Irina and her partner. Color me surpised, but I've got a bad feeling about this.' He thought as he spat out his foamed toothpaste. He washed his mouth and went for the door, only for it to open and reveal Rias. "Morning." He greeted solemly as he walked past.

"Wait a sec." She said as she gently grabbed his arm. "I...Wanted to apologize about my behavior last night. It was uncalled for. Both Asia and I felt really terrible about how we reacted. I'm sorry. We wanted to appoligize to you last night, but you were gone."

"I had a summoning. Both Issei and me."

"I see. How'd it go?" She asked.

"We just went late night fishing. Was actually kinda nice. Definetly needed some relaxing quiet time."

"I'm glad." She smiled, releasing her Pawn from her hold. "I'll let you get back to it. Again, sorry for over-reacting. I guess it wasn't really fair since I never told you I was engaged."

(Y/N) shook his head. "Don't worry about it. Besides, it was just a promise we made when we were kids. I'm sure she'll move on after today. So no worries. I'm just glad I got to see her at all." He smiled.

"(Y/N)..." Rias looked to her servant with worry.

"I'll see you downstairs for breakfast. Assuming Artoria hasn't eaten it all yet." He chuckled as he walked to his room. He dressed into his summer uniform, adorned the necklace Chisato gave him and headed downstairs, where he was greeted to a massive spread of food all over the table. "Woah! What's all this?" He asked, staring at all the pancakes, sausages, eggs, biscuits and so much more.

"I wanted to do something to make up for how I acted last night. "Asia said as she placed a boat of gravy onto the table. "I'm really sorry. When Issei told us you were engaged...I don't know...It just caught me by surprise, I guess."

"Asia..."

"But, if that's how things are, then I'll support you know matter what!" She declared.

(Y/N) couldn't help but smile at the Bishop's dedicated look in her emerald-colored eyes. "I appreciate it. But it was just a silly promise we made when we were kids. Chances are it's not gonna happen. So don't worry. I'm not getting hitched anytime soon."

Aisa smiled with a look of relief. "Okay!"

"Yo, what's this about getting hitched?" Isabela asked as she approached the table with Siris.

"Good morning everyone." Siris greeted.

"Morning! And it's nothing. Just a silly promise between a couple of kids." (Y/N) assured.

"Gotcha." Isabela accepted as she took a seat at the table. "By the way, what was with the maid last night? You hire one?" She asked.

"Not really. Apparently, I met her when I got hammered and I offered her a place to stay. She wanted to be of service and, apparently, that means being a maid. That's the way it is in her world anyways."

"Wait, world?" Siris questioned.

"Yep. Apparently, she's from another world where Dragons aren't extinct. She's a Dragon herself." He explained.

"...Whoa." The former servants awed.

"By the way, where is Tohru?" (Y/N) asked.

"Right here." She proclaimed, approaching her master with a tired tone. "Good morning, Mister (L/N)." She greeted with large dark bags under her eyes.

"Whoa, what happened? You don't look too good. Did Grayfia's lessons really wear you out that much?"

"They did. But I learned a lot! So I'm ready to start working as soon a possible!" She declared.

"I see. Well, let's just get our energy up by eating first. We'll worry about work later." (Y/N) said. "Besides..." He looked over to Artoria, who stared at the table full of food with a hungered look on her face. "If we don't start soon, Artoria might just go nuts and eat it all." He chuckled.

Everyone under the (L/N) household took their seats at the table. "Thanks for the food!" They thanked and began to fill their plates and eat.

"Speaking about work, I think I might have something for you Isabela, Siris." He said, gaining their attention.

"What?" They asked confused.

"I talked to my Principle and she said she'd interview you guys next Monday for our Boxing and Kendo club programs. It's not much, but since you wanna work I thought I'd go ahead and see if I could help."

The two looked to each other in surprise, only to smile in acceptance.

"Once again, you help us rather than let us help you." Siris said.

"You're really something else, (Y/N). Thanks." Isabela smiled.

(Y/N) smiled back as he took a bite of one of his sausages.

"I guess that explains why you went there yesterday before class. Everyone thought you got in trouble or something." Asia claimed.

"Nope. Just wanted to help. Ms. Madison's cool. Plus, she owes me a couple favors so..." He added before taking a bite of his pancakes.

The devils prepared to head to school at the front door.

"We're heading out." (Y/N) said to Torhu. "If anyone calls, just take a message, 'kay?"

The Dragon Maid looked confused. "What's a "calls"?" She asked with the slight tilt of her head.

"Right, you're a Dragon." (Y/N) remembered. "Wait, didn't Grayfia teach you about phones and stuff?"

Tohru just looked further confused.

The Azure Dragon Emperor sighed. "Guess not." He led the Dragon to the landline. "This is a phone. Specifically a landline. When it rings you pick it up." He demonstrated.

"Okay, got it!" Torhu nodded.

"When they talk, just respond until the message or point is conveyed."He explained.

"Talk. Message. Conveyed. Got it!" She proclaimed.

"Alright then, take care." He bid as he left the house.

"Safe travels!" The residents bid.

As the door closed, Tohru began to ponder about last night's lessons. "Hold down the fort?" She questioned, remembering her time back in her world when she would attack castles and strongholds. Remembering when the guards would run away and close the gate. "Oh, is that what those people were doing?" She questioned.

"What?" Isabela questioned.

The Dragon Maid walked to the landline and conjured a magic circle. "I'll just ask Fafnir for help!" She proclaimed as she picked up the phone.

"WHO?!" The girls questioned, knowing the name they were shocked and terrified.

The line on the other side picked after only one ring. "...Kill them." Fafnir said. "Kill all who try to steal your treasure. Kill all who are suspect. Curse them with death. Curse their generations to come." He instructed, sheer malice and violence emanated from the phone as he spoke.

Tohru smiled and hung up the phone. "He's always so helpful."

Isabela, Siris, Artoria and Kohaku practically trembled from the pure violent force from the being on the phone.

"That...Was NOT the same Fafnir we know." Siris claimed.

"It really wasn't..." Isabela agreed.

"All right! Time to do my best to earn Mister (L/N)'s love and praise!!" She declared, flailing her arms in the air excitedly.

A sudden rattling echoed from the front door, slightly startling the residents within.

"Someone's tampering with the lock." Kohaku claimed.

"It's probably a burglar." Isabela claimed.

"...Oh?" Tohru questioned.

From the other side, the two men contained to tamper with the door's lock.

"The little playboy and his gaggle of sluts should be gone all day, but let's make this fast." The burglar with shades advised.

The lockpicker simply smirked. "We'll be in there before you can say "open"." He said as he lock turned, allowing them to open the door and enter. However, what awaited them on the other side both confused and terrified them.

Standing at the entrance was Kohaku in her God Beast state, Siris with her Zweihänder drawn, Isabela cracking her knuckles loudly, Artoria at the front donned in her battle armor and invisible sword piercing the ground, and Tohru in the very back in her true form.

The attempted robbers simply look at the gathering of violently gazing women and beasts, their expressions less confident to concerned.

Tohru took a deep breath and huffed heavily, blasting a strong wind at the two men at the door.

The men whimpered through the wind. As it died, the realization suddenly hit them.

"...Begone." Arutira glared.

The burglars screamed with terror and ran as fast as they could, leaving (Y/N)'s house alone.

Kuoh Academy

(Y/N) released an exasperated sigh as he continued on his way to the club room. "Man, I know this meeting is important and it'll be great to see Irina again, but I'm still not looking forward to it."

"Oh, (Y/N)! Perfect timing." Chisato greeted as she approached her patient. "I was hoping to see you before I left."

"Well, glad to run into you before that. The guys wouldn't take your eyes off you." He said, glancing at the remaining students on campus who were gawking and eyeing the doctor up.

The bespectacled brunette giggled happily. "Oh? Is that a hint of jealousy I detect?"

"It might be." He replied.

Chisato looked surprised by his hasteful answer, only to laugh happily. "Well that's really sweet. I wanted to let you know I've come up with some ideas with your appearance problem." She claimed.

"For real?" He asked. "That was fast. Then again, you're awesome so it really shouldn't be that surprising."

Chisato giggled again. "Thank you. But as for the Purgatory thing, I'm afraid I'm still in the process of looking. It may take some time."

"I understand. No worries." (Y/N) assured.

"How was last night? Were you brought there again?" She asked.

(Y/N)'s face flared up, remembering the most recent dream he had seen. "Well, I thought I was, 'cause everything around was really dark. But it turned into...Something else. Let's leave it at that."

Chisato grew a devilish smirk. "(Y/N), did you have a naughty dream about me?" She asked.

The young devil simply kept his head down, his face flared red as steam erupted.

The doctor giggled. "You're so cute." She smiled. "Well, I best be heading out. I'll give you a ring if I manage to find anything on Purgatory, 'kay?"

"S-Sure." He nodded.

Chisato felt her phone buzz within her lab-coat. She pulled it out and read the message. "I've got a meeting to get to. But' I'll talk to you later, 'kay?"

"Sure." (Y/N) agreed.

The two delivered a brief but tender hug before letting the other go towards their destination.

ORC Headquarters

"Yo!" (Y/N) greeted as he entered.

"Glad you made it." Rias greeted.

"Hey, you made it!" Beerus waved from Rias's desk. "I saved you an ice cream cup!" He said as he waved to the young devil.

"Beerus?" (Y/N) looked confused. "What're you doing here...Again?" He questioned the cat-man.

"Because I had a premonition last night." He declared.

"A premonition huh?" (Y/N) questioned with doubt. He felt a gentle tap on his shoulder. He turned and spotted Whis eating an ice cream cup himself.

"It's best to just go along with this kinds of things. Most of them tend to be a bunch of hot air anyways." He advised.

"I heard that, Whis!" Beerus snapped. "And it was an interesting premonition, let me tell you. It gave me the feeling that something interesting was going to happen. And it had you in the center of it!" He declared, pointing at the devil with his spoon.

"Well, today's definitely gonna be a roller coaster. I can tell you that much." He claimed.

"Beerus, we have an important meeting today. So please behave." Rias asked.

"Not to worry. I'll be on my best behavior!" The God of Destruction promised.

The Azure Dragon Emperor looked around the room and noticed everyone was present except Kiba, Irina and her companion. "Kiba's still a no show, huh?"

Rias simply sighed.

"Irina's not here either. I thought-?"

The door to the club room suddenly emanated a knock.

"I got it." He said, opening the door to reveal Irina and her blue haired scowling partner.

The brunette looked to her fiancé and was surprised. "(Y/N)! What're you doing here?" She questioned.

'Well, better to rip it off like a band-aid I guess.' He thought. "I'm here 'cause this is the club I'm in. As well as the Peerage you're here to see. Irina...I'm a devil. A Pawn in the service of Rias Gremory of the Gremory Family." He declared.

Irina stared at the young devil for a moment before laughing. "Oh sweetie, you tell the weirdest jokes!" She laughed. "Though, humor wasn't exactly your best talents growing up." She smiled.

"Irina..." (Y/N) looked to the twin-tailed fiancé with concern and defeat.

The members of the Church took their seats across from Rias at the coffee table.

Rias's Peerage stood behind her.

"Before we begin..." Rias started, looking back to (Y/N). "(Y/N), come sit with me."

"Huh?" He looked confused.

"Here. Right next to me." She said, patting the seat right next to here on the sofa.

The young devil simply sighed. "Okay." He said, hopping over the backrest and taking the seat next to his master.

"Now then, if we may begin..." The bluenette began. "I'd like to thank you for agreeing to speak with us today." She said, her tone stern, almost cold and lifeless. "My name is Xenovia."

"And I'm Irina Shido." Irina added.

"It's fascinating to me why followers of God would want to meet with a devil." Rias claimed as she crossed her legs.

"It does seem random." Irina agreed. "Here's the thing: There are six swords we can account for. Three of them are still with the Church. But we happen to know that the other three by fallen angels."

The devils were shocked by Irina's claim.

"You're sure?" (Y/N) asked.

Xenovia moved the massive object wrapped in cloth off her shoulder. "These are from the ones we have left." She claimed. "They're made from Excalibur. This weapon is mine. It's called the Sword of Destruction."

Beerus's ear twitched at the notion of the name. "Oh? Someone dared to give the sword the title of Destroyer?" He questioned.

"Now now, Lord Beerus." Whis attempted to calm.

"And then there's the one I have here." Irina extended her arm, revealing a frill textured string like object wrapped around her arm. "It's known as the Holy Sword of Mimicry. It's an Excalibur Mimic!" She claimed cheerfuly.

"Well..." Rias smiled. "What is it you would like us to do for you today?" She asked.

"Stay completely out of it." Said Xenovia. "This is between us and the fallen angels. Let's keep it simple, shall we? We don't need the devils of this city to intervene."

"That sounds like an accusation." Rias pointed out. "Are you afraid that we'll side with the fallen angels and keep you from obtaining the Holy Swords?" She questioned.

"We know that for devils, a Holy Sword is a detestable thing. Wouldn't it make sense for you to support the fallen angels?"

Xenovia's counter immediately angered Rias. Her eye's changed from their gentle blue huge to a violent and surging red as her magical energy slowly began to rise.

'Oh shit, Rias is getting pissed!' (Y/N) worried.

"And if that's true, we will have no choice but to completely annihilate you. Even though you are the Great Devil's sister." The bluenette claimed.

"If you already have me figured out then let me share something with you: There is no way I'd ever think of joining the fallen angels. I would never do anything to besmirch the name of the House of Gremory of me dear brother." Rias declared more calmly.

Xenovia chuckled. "It's enough for me to be able to hear that. I was only relaying the thoughts of headquarters. I honestly didn't think the little sister of Lucifer would really be that stupid."

"Good to know." Replied Rias. "Then I hope you also understand that I will not provide aid to your side, either." She claimed.

"Of course." Xenovia acknowledged. "I trust that we will prevail if you promise not to intervene in anything we may do in this city."

"You have my word on that." The King promised.

"We won't take up anymore of your time." Xenovia claimed as she rose up out of her seat.

"Would you like some tea before you go?" Rias offered.

"No thanks." Xenovia declined the hospitality rather coldly. "I'm not here to make friends with devils."

"Well that's a shame, 'cause you seem like such a ray of sunshine yourself." (Y/N) said.

The bluenette turned to the young devil. "What?"

(Y/N) simply looked at her with a raised brow. "What?"

Xenovia huffed a heavy sigh. "We'll let ourselves out."

"Well, looked like that's settled." Irina smiled, walking over to her fiancés' seat. She grabbed his arm and pulled him up. "Let's go, hon!" She smiled as she started walking to the door.

The young devil looked confused. "Wait, what's happening now?"

"Come on! We're leaving silly. We can't let you stay in a room full of nasty devils, now can we?"

"Irina, I told you already-?" (Y/N) began to explain, but was suddenly grabbed by the hand by Rias.

"Excuse me, what gave you the impression that you could take my servant with you?" She questioned. "I thought we agreed that we won't be aiding you."

Irina simply smiled. "Well, he is my fiancé. I'm just trying to keep him safe."

"He can take care of himself just fine. In fact, he's usually the one helping us." Rias declared as she pulled him closer towards her.

Irina gasped. "Really?" She questioned, only to hug the young devil with sheer joy. "Oh, that's so sweet. You still help anyone who need it huh darling? Even if they're devils or whatever. Now come on, let's head back and think up a plan to find the Excaliburs!" She proclaimed as she tried to pull her fiancé away.

"Irina, he's not coming with us!" Xenovia glared at her partner.

Irina looked to her partner. "Huh? How come?" She asked, rather upset.

"He's a devil. I just said we don't need their help. We can handle this on our own." She explained.

"He's not really a devil, Xenovia. He was kidding. Besides he can help, my dad trained him when he was younger like me!"

"Capability or no, he's still aligned with them. The answer's no." She scolded.

"I get the impression you don't like me very much." (Y/N) said.

"You're a distraction for Irina. And Distractions...Are unwelcome." She glared.

"Jeez, looks like you really fooled everyone with that "I'm a devil" joke you said hon." Irina smiled.

"Irina..." (Y/N) released himself from his friend's grasp and stepped back. "Look at me." He said, sprouting his jet black devil wings out wide for her too see, hoping she'd finally accept the truth. "I really am a devil, Irina. A while back, I came close to dying. Or I may have actually died. But Rias revived me and gave me a second chance to live. I was reincarnated as a devil under the service of the Gremory Family. I'm not joking." He said, as he put his wings away. "I'm a devil, a dragon, and who knows what else. This is the truth."

"Wow!" Irina cheered. "You learned illusion magic! That's amazing, (Y/N)!"

"Irina no..." (Y/N) sighed.

"Well, you seem pretty adamant on staying here with them, so I won't stop you. I know we'll run into each other again real soon. And, if I know you, if we're ever in trouble, you'll be there. But, if you ever want to see me again sooner, just pray for it. I'm sure God would answer you." She smiled. She leaned closer, wrapped her arms around the young devil's neck and kissed him on the lips.

Everyone was shocked by Irina's action.

Xenovia rushed over and pulled her partner away from the young devil. "What are you thinking?!" She yelled.

"What? We're already engaged so it's no big deal." Irina assured. She suddenly grew a slight smug smirk, but tried to hide it behind her hand. "Wait, are you just jealous because you don't have someone your love life?"

"Shut up!!" Xenovia yelled, bonking her partner on the head. "We'll be leaving now." She said as she headed for the door with Irina. However, she stopped for a moment and looked to Asia.

Asia noticed Xenovia's gaze and (Y/N) instantly became confused and cautious.

"I was wondering if visiting the hometown of Irina's apparent fiancé would lead us to you." Xenovia claimed. "Aren't you Asia Argento?" She asked

"Um, yes." She replied.

Xenovia continued her cold gaze. "...It makes sense that I would run into a witch in a place like this."

Asia jumped at Xenovia's words, shocking her into silence as she trembled.

"Oh my goodness! It is you! You're the former saint who became a witch!" Irina acknowledged. "I had heard you were banished because you had the power to heal fallen angels and evils, and that one time you actually used it! You must be pretty strong!" She praised. "I didn't know you'd actually become a devil yourself."

The former saint kept her head down, her hands trembled as she gripped her skirt. "Well, I um...I guess so."

"You okay?" (Y/N) asked in attempt to comfort his friend.

"Of course she's not okay." Answered Xenovia. "She went from being a saint to being a devil. That's about as far as one can fall." She claimed.

Asia had the took of trauma and shock on her face, completely unable to respond to Xenovia.

"If you're done here, then I suggest you shut up and get the hell out!" (Y/N) hissed.

"Dude, you're not helping." Koneko extended her arm, attempting to stop the angered devil.

'Damn it! I can't just sit back and let her talk about like she knows her! She doesn't know a thing about Asia!' (Y/N) thought.

"Do you still believe in our God, Asia?" Xenovia questioned, catching the Azure Dragon Emperor and the former sister by surprise.

"Don't be silly. She's like, a devil, and stuff. She's over us." Irina said.

"No. That doesn't always mean what you think it does. There are those whose hearts continued to remain pious in the midst of their own selfish betrayal." Xenovia explained.

(Y/N) began to growl as his anger continued to grow.

"She seems like she might be one of them." The bluenette suspected.

"Really? Is it true, Asia? Do you still believe in God?" Irina questioned. "I mean, I know you're like a devil, but do you?"

"...Yes." Asia replied, her voice rather shaky. "I've never been able to let go." She admitted as tears began to seep from her eyes. "I've believed in God this whole time."

Xenovia stepped towards the Bishop, her hand firmly gripped on her Excalibur's handle. "Then you should allow us to execute you this instant." She advised, as she rose up her blade and pointed it directly at Asia, catching her and many other by surprise by the notion and suggestion. "Though you have sinned in the worst way possible; if you sacrifice your soul to Him, He will forgive you." He claimed with a sharp gaze within her eyes. "Let yourself be convicted by my hand. God will work through me to save you."

(Y/N)'s gripped his hands tightly to the point where his fingers burrowed into his palms and bled. He stepped forward and was instantly restrained by Whis holding him by his shoulder.

"Come now, (Y/N). Calm yourself." The attendant of the G.O.D advised.

"Do you mind stopping there, please?" Rias spoke, rising out of her seat and glaring at Xenovia. "There is no need for you to be  shaming my servant here in that way."

"I wasn't shaming her senselessly." Xenovia claimed. "As on of God's servants, I feel it is my duty to rescue her soul."

(Y/N) broke free from Whis' hold and stomped over to Asia and Xenovia, placing himself in between the two and right in Xenovia's face with pure rage.

"(Y/N), no!" Rias warned with worry.

"Stop! Don't do it!" Akeno feared.

"(Y/N), calm down!" Irina pleaded.

"Everything's okay." Asia tried to assure through the tears in her eyes.

"I'm gonna say it one more time: If you're done then get the hell out!!" He hissed violently.

Xenovia looked at the young devil and smirked. "Oh? Are you mad because I simply speak the truth?" She asked.

"No. I'm pissed because you're spouting shit about things you know nothing about!!" He replied. "You have no right to talk to Asia that way! You have no right to call her a witch!" He yelled. He looked to Irina and had a look of deep disapoitnment. "And you, I can't belive you Irina. Even after telling me for years not to judge someone by the things you here about them, but by who they are. You go and do just that."

Irina took (Y/N)'s word to heart, and nearly shattered her deep down. "I...I didn't..."

Xenovia simply kept her smirk. "Believe me; that's one of the nicest descriptions I have for someone who has done what she's has-"

"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT!!!" He roared, silencing the young woman. "You pricks are the ones who decided she was a saint, not her! That wasn't her choice!" He declared. Memories of the time they spent together began to flood his mind. Tears began to for within his eyes. "She was happier without any of this bullshit!" He claimed, his head hung low to hide his tears.

Asia looked to her friend. "I'm okay." She said.

"A genuine saint can survive on the love of God alone." Xenovia claimed. "If Asia makes sacrifices for the love of anyone besides God, the she was never a true saint."

"You bitch!" (Y/N) snapped. "Saint or not, Aisa is one of the kindest souls anyone could ever hope to meet! If you can't see that, then your a freaking moron!"

Asia smiled happily from her friend's defense.

"And who exactly are you to Asia Argento?" The bluenette questioned.

"I'm her family." He declared proudly. "We all are! And her friends! And we all love her for who she is! And if you still want to kill someone for their sins..." (Y/N) grabbed Xenovia's cloaked Excalibur and aimed it directly at his chest. "Then you better kill me instead!"

"(Y/N) no!!" Asia cried.

"(Y/N), please calm down!!" Irina begged.

"(Y/N), that's enough!" Rias ordered.

"As the years went on, I've fallen into each and every one of the seven sins. As I grew older, I've fallen into my Lust numerous times. And my Pride, Greed and Gluttony led me to do anything to acquire more power! I've Envied the peace and tranquility others have had their whole lives, while I've had to fight for mine! Even for the last few days, I've wanted to do nothing but fall into my own Sloth! And to those who have threatened the innocent and the ones I hold dear...I've unleashed my Wrath and left no survivors." He declared. "So if you really want to kill someone for their sins, then kill me. I'm the walking embodiment of it!" He growled.

"Enough!!" Irina pleaded as she pushed the two away. She ran to (Y/N) with her hands on his face. "(Y/N), what happened to you? Why would you say something like that? Please, talk to me!" She begged.

"Let this be a warning, if you so much as raise a hand against her, I will spend every last breath making sure you regret it!" He declared, gripping the cloaked blade tightly with his right hand.

"Is that so? Then are you prepared to take on the entire Church?" Xenovia questioned, gripping her Excalibur's handle tighter. "That's pretty big talk for a little devil like yourself." She smirked.

"If it mean protecting the ones I love...Then I will happily take on any foe. Any army! Any Nation!! I will fight even if it means turning EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING AGAINST ME!!!"

"(Y/N), stand down!! That's an order!!" Rias declared.

"This is perfect." Spoke a falimiar voice.

Everyone turned to the door and spotted Kiba leaning against it with his arms crossed.

"I'll take all of you on." He declared.

"Who are you?" Xenovia questioned.

"Your superior. Nice to met you." He replied coldly.

"Kiba?" Said Rias.

Everyone quickly regrouped outside behind the Headquarters.

On the opposite side of the field stood the members of the Church.

"Alright then, let's begin." Xenovia said.

They discarded their white and blue cloaks and revealed a black, skin-tight, short sleeve leotard with pauldrons, matching fingerless gloves that extend to their biceps, and thigh-high boots, all of which were adorned with straps and a crucifix around their necks.

'Interesting battle attire. Can't tell which side is more perverse anymore, the devils or the Church.' (Y/N) thought as he looked at Irina and Xenovias' attire.

As (Y/N) began to step roward, Issei grabbed his shoulder and held him back.

"Take it easy, bro. I'll handle this." He said.

The Azure Dragon Emperor looked to his friend in surprise. "What? Issei, what're you-?"

"You need to cool your head for a bit." He said, still seeing the lingering anger in his eyes. "Besides, your opponent's Irina. I know how aggressive you get when you're angry. I don't think you'd ever forgive yourself if something happened to your fiancé, huh?" He smiled as he walked forward in his friends' place.

(Y/N) sighed and walked back to the others to spectate. He crossed his arms and simply began to watch.

"Are you sure this is okay?" Akeno questioned her King. "Should we be fighting people from the Church without permission?"

"It's just an informal bout, not an actual official battle." Rias replied.

"'Cause if the higher-ups found out, then we'd all be in trouble!" Irina claimed, pulling the string on her arm as it quickly turned into a katana with a round gold guard and a long enough grip making it a two-handed blade.

The wrappings around Xenovia's Excalibur flew off, revealing the two-handed sword with a long handle with a cross in the pommel. An axe-like guard and a second grip with a chain-like form connecting the guard with the blade, the blade itself was huge and long and ended with three points. "Consider it a drill. No killing."

Upon drawing the Excaliburs, Kiba simply laughed.

"Why are you laughing?" Xenovia questioned.

"Because..." Kiba smiled confidently. "The one thing I always wanted to destroy more than anything has appeared willingly before my very eyes." He declared, darkness looming within his gaze as the ground below him erupted into a bed of blades upon his summoning.

"Sword Birth, is it?." The bluenette acknowledged. "I remember now. During the Holy Sword Project there was one subject facing disposal but manage to escape."

"Issei, it's totally you!" Irina cried with stars in her eyes.

Issei jumped back. "Yeah? So what?"

"I feel like fate is making fun of me right now. A friend I grew up with has become a devil. Why is this happening?!" She questioned.

Issei simply looked to the twin-tailed bruenette.

"My one goal in this world was to learn how to use a Holy Sword, move far away and help everyone around me! God must be testing my will to overcome this dramatic heartbreak. If can prove I'm strong enough, I might be close enough to him and save my darling!" She declared in a rather overly dramatic fashion.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure none of this has to do with you. But whatever."

'Not too sure what she's going on about. But you know what, good for her.' (Y/N) thought.

"I'm so sorry, Issei. This hurts me, much more than it hurts you, but your sins will now face the wrath of my Excalibur!" Irina declared, lunging at Issei.

"Fine, you want to go there?" He deployed his Sacred Gear. "Then bring it on! Boosted Gear!"

BOOST!
