Phase 3

The mage stood before them with his royal purple robe flowing with the wind. Hair as silver as the moon, shined underneath it, as the hood fell. His nimble fingers twisted and curved in the air as the spectacles of lights blinked with explosion. Bright colors lit up the air like fireworks before it sizzled out leaving sparks in its wake. The audience were wowed and clapped at the show the mage provided.

Purple eyes skimmed at everyone's faces before flicking his fingers up. Particles like stardust burst into the sky. This was the largest one seen tonight as it spread across the sky with the names of the bride and groom. Like glitter vying for attention against the stars, each letter sparkled with brightness.

"Wow! That is so beautiful!" The princess exclaimed happily clapping.

"I agree," King Valor nodded, "what clever tricks."

"Do you agree for this then?" King Alastir questioned turning to face the eyes of the other king.

Before Valor could agree, there was a clearing of the throat from the woman with dark hair. Kurt stared at her and knew what she would say, but patience was something he had mastered since his youth. So waiting, he held the book loosely.

"Is there not something that would… give a bigger boom?" She questioned nonchalantly, "I mean, I am sure there is a spell in there that would dazzle everyone and not just children."

"But I enjoyed the fireworks of magic," Prince Garret stated and the princess chimed in with her head nodding.

"My prince," Hilda did a curt bow, "your mage is young, but I am sure he could handle something more powerful. After all, this is a wedding to be remembered."

'It will be remembered alright,' the redhead gritted out in his mind, but forced a smile on his lips.

"Like what?" The prince feigned ignorance, "Something with actual fire?"

He saw the slow grin on the woman's lips and he found the corner of his lips deepened.

When he had spoken with Kurt, the mage walked him through the spell book and pointed out which the woman would point out.

"How are you sure she would choose these?" He had questioned him.

"She had been one to want attention to herself. The bigger, the better. The louder, the more memorable. She will not be able to resist."

"Okay," Garret nodded, "so I should mention one of these crazy looking ones?"

"Mm," his mage nodded, "she will want me to show her one of these. When I cannot perform it, then she would try it herself."

"But wouldn't that mean she would be holding the book? I thought we don't want her to have it?" The prince's brows were furrowed, creasing his forehead in the process.

"Trust me, my prince," Mr. London had told him and what could he do but trust.

So watching the grin on Hilda's face, he knew that she was going to offer one of those fancy spells.

"Fire would be nice, or maybe…" she turned her dark eyes to the mage before her, "manipulation of water. Are you able to do that, mage?"

"Manipulation of water will need a lot of magic, Ms. Hilda," Kurt explained in his soft voice, "Let me check my book to see."

The mage noted the twitch of her lips when he said, "my book". Flipping through the pages of spells, he pretended he had passed the correct page and needed to go back. This went on for a few minutes in quiet before he heard the forced laugh out of the lady's mouth.

"Are you unable to find it? If you need help, I can help you," she offered and Kurt declined.

He repeated what he was doing earlier, purposefully getting the woman antsy as her legs shook where she sat. He could hear the small talks between his king, queen, and the other queen. He could hear his prince speaking with the princess. He could hear the way the other king was trying to calm his mistress, but he ignored it all. Flipping the pages slowly as if he had never looked through it before, he scanned through the spells with his eyes.

"I apologize for the delay," he finally spoke up to gather their attention, "should we move to the lake? It is quite late as well."

"No," Hilda stood up, "I wish to see it, my king," she looked to King Valor, "don't you want it all to be perfect tomorrow?"

"I do," the king nodded and glanced at his daughter who nodded as well, oblivious of what is happening.

"Instead of the lake, why don't we go to the fountain, since the wedding will take place there," King Alastir offered.

They all agreed and followed the King of Fiemyr to the fountain. Lynn slipped the magic embedded rock into Kurt's palm as he walked pass her. Her brown eyes followed the mage and the rest of the party. She felt slightly bad for the princess. Her heart will break knowing what her father had done and the truth to who held the Prince's heart. Before, she would have easily given up her place for a princess, no matter how much Garret fought back. Now, now she had gone through too much for her not to be selfish.

Garret loves her and she loves him.

That was it. Nothing more and nothing less.

Smiling to herself, she followed and stood behind the prince and princess as they faced the fountain. The clear water falling down the ceramic white fountain flowed from the top layer to the bottom layer. With his book opened, everyone watched as the mage reached out to touch the water before incanting a spell. They watched as the water seemed to slow until it was frozen on spot. His nimble fingers moved and the water followed, but then it plopped onto the ground splashing onto the shoes of royalty.

"My apologies," Kurt bowed low, "I am not strong enough to control water."

"A mage who could barely do anything!" Valor shouted shaking his feet.

"There is no need to shout at him. He had apologized," Queen Annabelle stated staring blandly at her husband.

"No need! My shoes are wet! If he could not handle it, why even attempt it! Pathetic," Valor spitted out angrily as he glared at his wife.

"My king, it is alright," Hilda grabbed his forearm and Valor's face changed to agreement, "he is still young, perhaps inexperienced."

Queen Celeste scoffed with her arms crossed and a scowl on her face. She felt disgusted by the act that was being played and could not wait for it all the be over.

"May I try?" The homewrecker spoke up and the queen felt her scowl bled into a smirk, "I don't know much about magic, but I would be interesting to learn."

'Interesting?! Hah!' Celeste squeezed her husband's hand, 'Wait until we catch you in the act you witch!'

She watched as Hilda stood up and reached for the book once more. This time, instead of holding it back or anyone stopping her, Kurt let the woman hold the possession she had been searching from. The gasp she let out was loud as her eyes widened. Then her lips spread into a grin as she reached to the water like Kurt had.

Celeste saw the hidden mage lift her hand like the silver haired male, but instead of dropping the liquid, the water hung in the air like curtains. It swished and swooned as if dancing to a music only it could hear. The water circled the fountain and bounced high above. Spurts flew up occasionally in an arc of a heart and water formed flowers bloomed framing the fountain. It was truly beautiful, but Celeste was even happier that what they had planned occurred.

Hilda had revealed herself.

She knew magic and she will be exposed.

Her son will NOT marry Princess Arora.
