Chapter 8:

Four days later.

At that time the whole council was gathered in one place wondering why they had been summoned.

And Hiruzen had a heavy face.

Danzo at that time had an ugly expression, Homura and Koharu had it too.

Tsunade had angry eyes for Hiruzen.

Sighing he said:

[I called this meeting to inform everyone about 3 things] (Hiruzen).

[The first is that from that day on, Danzo Shimura, Koharu Utatane, and Homura Mitokado are no longer members of the Konoha council or my advisors] (Hiruzen).

[The second is that ROOT was ordered to be dismembered 24 hours ago, any Root agent who continues with their activities and is discovered must be killed in sight] (Hiruzen).

[The third is that Danzo Shimura, Koharu Utatane, and Homura Mitokado from that day, will no longer be able to play any role as Shinobi in any position, from now on they are civilians] (Hiruzen).

[Furthermore, none of them will ever be able to leave Konoha and will have their Chackra nets permanently sealed, and those who try to leave among the 3 must be killed on the spot]. (Hiruzen).

By the time Hiruzen finished speaking, each of those present understood that something really serious had happened.

Shiharo Nara the current head of the Nara clan and father of Shikaku Nara said:

[Hiruzen-Sama if I may ask, why is this punishment happening now?] (Shiharo Nara).

[Because Danzo, Homura and Koharu made a plan to kill my son, and instead of killing all three and dishonoring them as the traitors they are, our great Hokage decided it was better to punish them that way] (Tsunade) said with pure indignation in his voice.

Hiruzen investigated the matter, but what he discovered was desperate.

It wasn't just 1 of the 3 who took part in the matter, all three did, and worst of all, they still had the audacity to send Shinobi to the hospital to finish the job.

If it wasn't for Orochimaru being alert and protecting Kenichi, the boy would have been killed by Shinobi of Konoha at the behest of the three.

And with that on the table, things got out of hand.

It would be one thing if he killed one of the three, but killing them all would create chaos, and Hiruzen wouldn't be willing to do something like that.

Hiruzen was sure that Danzo knew this and so he made sure and involved the other two in this mess along with him.

Originally Hiruzen would simply try to placate Tsunade's fury with time, while he dealt with the 3 behind the scenes.

As bad as Danzo was, he wouldn't risk it anymore after failing twice, because trying to kill the great-grandson of the 1st Hokage had a huge impact, and even he wouldn't get away with it if concrete evidence was presented.

One thing would be if he had succeeded, he could have accused anyone else and gotten rid of the guilt.

But now that he's failed, Danzo would have to wait for things to calm down.

However, Hiruzen did not count on Tsunade investigating the matter with Orochimaru's help and finding traces linking the matter to Koharu and Homura.

And with that things got out of hand, because she had enough to demand that their mind be checked by a Yamanaka, and the result would expose Danzo.

Hiruzen knew that.

No Yamanaka would dare to lie in this situation for they understood very well that if they lied, and the whole clan was discovered would be slaughtered.

The Yamanaka clan has always been the most perfect lie detector, and they have condemned several people from various clans in Konoha.

If one of them lied and incriminated a clan in Konoha at the request of the Hokage and was discovered, everyone who held a grudge against them would retaliate.

Among these clans were the Uchiha, the Hyuga, the Inuzuka, and if they lied the Senju would attack as well.

The result was clear to all Yamanaka when they would read other people's minds.

If they lied and were discovered they would be exterminated, because if they lied to help the Hokage once, they may have done it other times as well.

Hiruzen understood this and knew that by the time the evidence was presented execution was the only result, so he called Tsunade while sending an Anbu team that destroyed the evidence.

But in doing so he saw Tsunade begin to hate all of Konoha rather than just the elders, and given the enormous amount of damage she could do if she became a Dishonest Ninja, Hiruzen had to placate her fury.

Jiraya would never help kill Tsunade in this situation, Orochimaru would not either, and Tsunade's Status in Konoha was too high for him to try to overthrow her through influence.

And if he tried through force and failed, all hell would break loose, for Tsunade could always go to another village and take Konoha's secrets with her.

All she needed was to make a single reverse invocation and the whole of Konoha would suffer the consequences.

In the end, the only way Hiruzen could deal with the issue without bloodshed was to exile Danzo, Koharu and Homura so that they would no longer be a threat.

Hiruzen informed Danzo, Koharu, and Homura of his decision as well as informed that if they tried anything he would hand them over to Tsunade, and none of the three doubted that she would torture them to death if it happened.

He also ordered the whole Anbu to follow them while Danzo dissolved the root.

Hearing what Tsunade said, each of the patriarchs seemed shocked for a moment before looking at the Hokage and the elders.

Fugaku who was chosen as the latest head of the Uchiha clan said in shock.

[This can only be a joke.] (Fugaku Uchiha).

[Are you going to let people who tried to kill the great-grandson of the 1st Hokage and the son of a Sannin leave with a slap on the wrist?] (Fugaku Uchiha).

[I'm not letting anyone come out with a slap on the wrist, this punishment was applied considering the years of service and achievements they had] (Hiruzen).

[They tried to kill a citizen of Konoha, broke several laws, acted against the heir of several heroes in the village, and you will leave them alive and as legitimate citizens of Konoha] (Fugaku Uchiha).

[Tell me if this isn't a slight slap on the wrist, what is it?] (Fugaku).

[After all, if they dare to try to kill the great-grandson of the founder of Konoha and the first Hokage of Konoha, the Great-Grandson of the Second Hokage, A Sannin who won the Suna war for us, and the son of a hero who gave his life for Konoha for no reason] (Fugaku)

[What exactly wouldn't they do?] (Fugaku).

Fugaku hated Danzo deeply, as he suppressed the Uchiha clan in every chance he had, and now Fugaku wanted to see if he could force the situation to kill him.

[That's my decision as your Hokage, and I won't accept criticism in this Fugaku situation] (Hiruzen) said releasing his pressure.

[No matter what happened the three served Konoha for over 40 years being loyal] (Hiruzen).

As soon as Hiruzen stopped speaking, everyone's expression showed displeasure with this decision, but they were silent, all but one person.

[It wasn't without reason Fugaku, it was because the three did something that almost made me give up staying in Konoha, and they were afraid I would influence my son against them in retaliation] (Tsunade).

Listening to Tsunade, the newly appointed head of the Hyuga clan, Hiashi Hyuga said:

[What do you mean by that?] (Hiashi).

[It is enough Tsunade, the matter has already been decided and nothing will change] (Hiruzen) said looking severely at her.

He couldn't say he didn't understand Tsunade's fury, honestly, he couldn't even blame her.

This whole situation is undoubtedly the fault of Danzo, Koharu and Homura, but he simply could not kill people who served alongside him.

Everyone on the council understood that there was even more in history at the time, the counselors did something against Tsunade, and it angered her deeply.

Due to Kenichi's monstrous talent, they felt threatened and tried to kill him, however, they failed and in the end, Hiruzen was left with no choice but to apply these punishments.

Shiharo Nara went further, he managed to deduce what happened and how it happened.

And the moment he did, Shiharo felt his heart freezing with the possibilities.

If Tsunade decided to leave Konoha, and join another Konoha village, he would fall.

At that moment Konoha was on top of explosives, and the slightest wrong move would destroy everything.

Tsunade ed the end because he knew he could not push too hard for Kenichi's sake.

Author's Notes:

Before they crucify me for how the situation occurred, I'll explain.

Konoha is above all a military village, and the Hokage is the highest rank.

After Hiruzen made clear what he thought of the situation and suppressed Fugaku, none of the clans wanted to force the matter further.

For the Hokage could always try to destroy their clan, after all, they did not have the political weight or strength that Tsunade held in his hands.
