Survive (13)

Like a rock hitting water, Noah realized the reason behind the girls apparent weightlessness, she's made out of complete bone. Noah's thoughts spun around, how was she still alive? She had no skin, no heart, no muscle or blood, she was a decomposed corpse but somehow she was breathing. He felt a repeated faint beat hit his shoulder, she had a heart.

Noah's mind spun in circles, 'is this happens what happens when I die?'. No, it couldn't be it. He had seen too much death, too much starvation and none of them came back. When he scrutinized her appearance more closely he recognized that she didn't look like any normal skeleton. Her face was a blank canvas with a dark red dot on it, her mouth was a hole of rowed teeth. She had no hole for a nose.

She had arms, she had a ribcage and she had long bare legs that reached his the lower part of his back. He noticed that alongside these her limbs there was a faint black line.

Her ribcage wasn't empty, there was a woven black net covering the inside. It looked similar to a spiders net, silky and hard. He saw a faint red light escape from the woven black net, it had been badly damaged. Noah wondered how long she had been stuck in that cage.

Noah felt strange carrying her on his shoulders

The first thought that came to him was a thought of fright, he wanted to throw her off. His body almost did so before he stopped himself, he had just risked his life for her, throwing her off would completely devalue his life.

He heard roars escaping from the forest, they were in the eastern side of the forest. He recognized those roars to be the roars of the yeti. The last thing he wanted to do was meet the yeti, when he tried to envision himself meeting the yeti he could hear his neck snapping.

Judging from where the sound came, he went into the western part of the forest. He wanted and had to avoid the yeti, if he aimed to survive.

Little did Noah know that the yeti was running around the entire forest to find his lost pet. After straining himself to hunt and stalk his pet for ages, it escaped when he finally had captured it. He was furious.

He felt the wind brush against his skin, it had a small trace of coldness. His aura was strong enough to heat the wind around his face up. He felt ticklish from the various snowflakes landing softly on his face.

There was snow everywhere in his sight, there was snow coloring the big trees white. There was the still snow on the floor, the was snow flakes all around him, hypnotizing you if you tried to focus on them, there was snow on his head which he didn't notice.

As he ran, he finally felt the improvement to his stamina. He was running quickly and didn't feel anything but the wind. It wasn't even slightly tiresome, not yet.

He was running down from one of the mountains, the area was a large snow forest filled with snow, and surrounding it where mountains. Noah pondered for a moment what was beyond the vast mountains line. If he set out to travel that direction, what would he find?

The mountain chains were grand and had an imposing in a sense. They were high enough to block out the sight of whatever was behind them, they were like large pointy walls. Their top was filled with coarse snow and ice, whilst the parts below shined of a rocky Grey.

In the middle you could see the bottom half of the giant. Each time the giant took a step, it would shake the earth beneath them hard enough for them to trip, it felt like a miniature earthquake. The trees would shake in unison, and all the snow would topple down.

The giants knees reached the clouds, everything above that they could not see. His feet were undone, savage and blue from frost. His legs were filled with strands of white fur

When Noah touched a tree, the snow pulverized whilst it slowly fell towards the floor. Noah kept running towards his master with the girl on his back, he wasn't sure if his master would allow them to take her or not, but he had to try.

The woods had cleared up and he could see that there was a black smoke rising up in front of him, Noah had a bad memory of black smoke. 'I hope it's not what I think it is' he thought to himself as he ran full speed towards the smoke. He had tow outness it with his eyes or else his mind wouldn't believe it. There would always be that small grudge telling him, you should go back and check wether or not that base has been raided.

He saw it, the wooden walls were aflame and burning black. The smell of burning white birch permeated the air, he couldn't believe it. This could not be happening to him. He ran towards the camp, he heard the sound of cheering inside of the enclosure, he ran his quickest with the girl on his shoulders. Noah ran and he saw a familiar sight in front of him.

There was a circle of men and women, chanting. Inside of that circle stood two people who fought, it was Shark and the lady he had seen a while back. The lady Jake the hero had denounced. His eyes widened, Shark was clearly loosing the fight, he wanted to run in there and do something but he couldn't. He knew that if he ran in there he'd get himself murdered, as simple as that.

Noah could only stand and watch the fight, so he did precisely that. Shark had wounds all over his body, whilst the lady had none. He held his sword in one of his hands whilst tendrils of blood encircled the lady. Slowly moving. Shark went for an attack, an overhead swing. One second he had been standing in his spot, the other he was in front of the lady.

Noah saw it, a tendril of blood has struck him right through the chest. Blood flew out of his mouth, and blood ran down his chest. The tendril of blood returned to the lady, and Shark fell on his knees. His face hitting the snow shortly after, "noo" Noah shouted. He had gotten to like Shark over the 90 days he spent with him, he couldn't bear seeing his friend die like this.

Everyone's attention turned to Noah, he was the focal point of all this. There was a moment of pure grief in there, nobody moved, and Noah looked at shark. That moment was quickly over, as Noah turned around and began running towards the forest. There were three soldiers who chased him.

He ran with full speed, and the soldiers did so as well. Their distance between each other neither shortened nor grew. Noah ran through the forest, shaking trees as he ran hoping to confuse the pursuers his trails were to easy to chase though. He ran in a senseless direction, he ran until his legs hurt and kept on running until his lungs began to convulse and kept on running even then.

He heard a familiar roar.

He looked to his right, expecting to see a white yeti but instead saw a black gorilla. It was Alice. She immediately pounced the guards, Noah dropped the girl he had been carrying on the ground without care. He had found a new source of energy, the second he ran towards them.

Alice had already pounced on one, beating his face into a bloody pulp whilst the rest were slashing at her neck and body. They couldn't cut deep enough to pose any real threat to her, so she kept beating the person she had mounted.

Noah had sprinted behind one of them and stuck his dagger into their back. Blood spewed through their mouth. There was only one alive, he tried to run away, but Noah threw his dagger. He threw it with such rage that it sunk deep into his skull, he toppled over planting into the snow. Noah's breat grew heavy.
