After all that we head to the common room, and I hear two girls gossiping about an attack. I ask what happened, and they explained that a first year Gryffindor got attacked last night. How does news travel so fast, if it only happened last night. I walk back to Ginny and Luna.
"There was another attack, this time it was a student." I say, looking at the two girls.
"Do you know who it was?" Luna asked, looking worried.
"No, I only know it was a first year Gryffindor, I hope they are ok." I say, now wondering who it was.
"I'll ask Ron, he might know who it was." Ginny said, as we walk out of the common room.
On our way to the Great Hall, I lose myself in my thoughts. I wonder what's attacking, well the first attack had something about the Chamber of Secrets written on the wall. If I remember correctly, the Chamber of Secrets was Salazar Slytherin's creation. Salazar was a known Parseltongue, so whatever is in the Chamber, is more then likely a serpent. But what serpent can petrify someone? Before I can finish my thoughts, we bump into the wonder trio.
"Yo Ron, do you know who got attacked?" Ginny asked, running up to them.
"Yeah it was Harry's stalker, Colin Creevey." Ron said, while me and Luna catch up to Ginny.
"Ron stop being so insensitive." Hermione said, hitting the back of Ron's head.
"Ow, it's true though. He was always asking for a photograph." Ron said, rubbing the back of his head.
"Oh Claire, Ginny, Luna how long have you been there?" Harry asked, looking at us.
"Are you ok Harry, you look off." I say, looking at Harry, who seems lost in his thoughts.
"Yeah I'm ok, it's just I was in the hospital wing when they brought him in." He said, with a strange look. "Dumbledore said the Chamber of Secrets has been opened again."
"Wait again, then that means it was opened before. Then why hasn't he done anything about it?" I ask to no one.
"I don't know, that was all he said." Harry said, still looking down.
"How many inept teachers are in this school?" I ask myself.
Everyone just shrugged, and head towards the Great Hall. After breakfast, we head to classes, but I can't concentrate. I keep thinking about it, why did Slytherin make a Chamber with a dangerous serpent inside it? There has to be a reason, or am I just being optimistic? No there is definitely a reason, but what is it? Oh I wonder if the room will give me a book about, I'll try later.
"Claire, are you ok?" Luna asked, with a worried look.
I smile at her and reply. "I'm ok, thank you."
"I suggest we focus on our studies and our research." Ginny said, looking over at us. "The Chamber is something we shouldn't worry about."
"She's right Claire, we have the book and that was our only task." Luna said, with her hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah you're right." I sigh, while I cradle my head in my hands. "We have to destroy this thing though."
"We will do that when we reach the training room." Ginny said, pushing me forward. "For now let's go get some food."
As Ginny dragged us towards the kitchen, I see the wonder trio sneaking off somewhere. I don't really care, so I don't bother telling the others. After we grab food, we head towards the room. We made it to the room without anything going wrong. I pull out the book, and try to rip out the pages. I can't seem to rip it, what the hell is this thing made of?
"Let's try burning it." Ginny said, as a metal bin appears.
Ginny throws the book into the bin, and casts incendio. Once we see the flames start to die, we see the book seemingly untouched.
"What the hell is this thing?" I shout, as I pick up the book, I point my wand towards it. "Aparecium."
And nothing happened, of course it wouldn't be that simple. We start using all the spells we know, even some we created and nothing worked.
"Damn it." I shout, throwing the book against the wall. "Why is nothing working."
"Calm down, there must be something we haven't tried." Luna said, looking at a book of spells.
"We haven't tried one thing, but it's dangerous." Ginny said, with a serious look.
"Of course, but that is advanced dark magic. What if we can't control it?" I ask, looking at Ginny.
"It's our only choice, grab the book we can't risk doing it in the room." She said.
We then look towards the book, only to see that damned house elf.
"I'm sorry young miss." It said, disappearing with the book.
