Naming

Ayako-

When I woke up, I was curled up against someone warm, with their arms wrapped loosely around me. I pulled away, and saw Katsuki lying there beside me. I grabbed my phone from my pocket, and winced, seeing the time was seven-thirty. "Oi. Get up." I lightly kicked his side, and he groaned, waking up.

"Hey there..." His words were interrupted by a yawn, "Ayako."

"What happened last night?" I tilted my head, genuinely confused.

"You passed out on me so I moved us over here. I guess I fell asleep too." Katsuki's phone started ringing, and I jumped. "Oops. It's the hag." He accepted the call, and I heard yelling.

"Let me talk to her." I said, and he handed me the phone. "Hello there. My name is Ayako Tatsunishi."

"Hello! My name's Mitsuki Bakugo. I'm assuming you're the girl Katsuki was with all night?"

"Yes. It appears we both fell asleep."

"Would you like to come over to our house tonight?"

"Sounds fine." I smiled. "But we need to get going. School's going to start soon."

"Alright. See you soon Ayako darling." I laughed a bit after she hung up.

"Let's go Katsuki." The blonde nodded, and we began fixing up our uniforms. I slipped on the blazer, and slung my backpack over my shoulder, and grabbed the food from the pier. Since we still had about fifteen minutes, I quickly fixed up my makeup and we left, heading to the school.

Kita-

As Katsuki walked into the classroom about two minutes before the bell, I took note of his messy appearance and told myself to ask him about it earlier. Walking in right behind him was Ayako, and her hair was just as messy as Katsuki's was.

I stood, and walked over to her desk. "What exactly did you two do last night?"

"Passed out on the beach." She regarded me almost coldly, and I felt a bit of surprise.

"Alright then." I nodded and left. As I sat down, I glanced at Katsuki who almost looked happy, which rarely ever happened. He either looked pissed off, or passive. Katsuki never, ever, showed his emotions in such a way, especially not with such a happy smile. "What happened with you?" I asked, feeling utterly confused.

"None of your business." He snapped and I sighed, sitting down right as Aizawa walked in. He seemed to be surprised at the state of Ayako and Katsuki's uniforms, and paused a moment.

"Ayako, Katsuki, go to the bathrooms and fix yourselves up." The two nodded, and left.

Shoto-

I watched the two leave, and asked Aizawa if I could go to the bathroom. He nodded, and I tailed the two. They headed together into the men's bathroom, and I listened in on their conversation.

"So when'd you move us?" Ayako asked, and I heard her humming a little tune, as well as clothes rustling.

"Not long after you fell asleep. You had fallen onto my lap, so I picked you up and moved you onto the hill with our clothes." I heard the Bakugo chuckle a bit. "Not a moment after I laid you down, you curled up into me."

My eyes widened, and I realised I probably shouldn't be listening to this conversation, so I left. I walked back into the classroom and took my seat. "I wonder if they're dating..." I muttered, feeling a bit sad. Though most of our class seemed to be scared of Ayako because of the villain incident, I had noticed a sense of pain about her, a certain sadness that stems from loss of someone that was important to her.

As I was lost in thought, the two walked back in. "Sorry about that Shota." Ayako smiled and sat down.

"It's fine. You seem to be a lot better now." For some reason, I don't think he meant her appearance.

"I am. Last night helped me a lot. I don't think we'll need to talk about the past, unless you need someone to talk to."

"I don't. I got over that loss a while ago. I'm glad you're better now. I hope you end up happier now."

"I should be." And with that, she passed out on her desk.

Ichigo-

I watched Ayako with some concern, not sure how she was doing. It was clear yesterday that she was dealing with some painful memories, but now she smiled easily. I couldn't tell exactly what happened, but I was pretty sure it had something to do with whatever happened with Katsuki Bakugo last night.

Aizawa announced that we would be having study hall the first couple classes, then promptly passed out. I slipped out my phone and texted Ayako.

Me- Where were you last night?

Ayako- With Katsuki.

Me- Doing what?

She shot me a glare, and I sighed.

Me- Fine. Don't tell me.

Katsuki-

Around the third class, Midnight walked in and said we'd be picking hero names.

The pink girl walked up, and showed hers. "Alien Queen!"

"Ah.... No...." Midnight sighed. "Too scary."

We go through the rest of the class, and Midnight refused both my attempts for names.

Ayako went with the name Copycat, "The Copy Hero," saying someone inspired her to call herself that.

Akata Kaminari went with Thundertop, and his brother chose Chargebolt.

Rikito Kirishima came up with Waterwave, and Eijiro Kirishima picked Red Riot.

Kita chose Dragon's Light, and sat back down in front of me.

Deku decided on Deku, and Izuma said Knockout.

Imi Akashi came up with Flame's Loss, and Ichigo got Winged Savior.

"Katsuki!" Ayako called me after school was over. "Let's go over to your place."

"Let's." I smiled and we left together, Kita following after.

"So what's going on between you two?"

"Nothing. We're just friends."

"No one's 'just friends' with Kat." Kita snorted. "What did you two do last night?"

"Why is everyone asking us this? We literally just hung out a bit and passed out accidently."

"And you sort of dumped your sad past on me." I snorted and she giggled.

"You offered."

"Fair point." Kita was just staring at us in shock. I guess he's not used to me being like this, but with Ayako, I can't help it. She brings out the better side of me.

Kita-

As they bantered, I wondered what had happened between them to make this happen.

In a moment of sudden shock, I realised what had happened. Katsuki fell in love. As soon as I realised this, it all made sense. The happy way he held himself, the way his eyes seem to follow every movement she made, how much his eyes light up when they talked. It was clear that Katsuki had fallen, and fallen far.

"Kat." I tapped his shoulder. "We should keep moving."

"Ah. Probably." He smiled with a nod.

Shoto-

After about five minutes of talking, the group left. I followed after, wanting to see what'd happen.

I tailed them for about two minutes until Ayako paused. The others turned back, and she smiled softly, her eyes closed. "Come on out Todoroki."

I did so, surprised. "How'd you...?"

"Well, I have a Quirk that always functions, passive in the background." Eyes still closed, she stepped towards me. "Grab my hand, and you'll see."

I did so, and almost immediately, the world around us faded, and I could see outlines of everyone around us, with the names of those I know in them. "Woah... Do you always see this?"

"No. Just sometimes, when I concentrate. When I'm not, it's sitting in the back of my mind. This was actually the first Quirk I copied."

"Weird..."

"Now stop touching her Icyhot." The older Bakugo stepped in, glaring at me.

"Who are you to decide what she does? Are you her boyfriend?" Immediately, Ayako let go and stepped away, hiding her face. I saw Katsuki's face turn red as well.

"Well- I- Uh..." Katsuki stuttered glancing at Ayako, who was still hiding her face.

"N-not yet...." She said, glancing up at me and him, revealing her red face.

"I, for one, think you two would make a great couple." The younger of the Bakugo twins said with a smile.

"Well, I'll be going now." I turned and left, feeling defeated. It's clear they like each other, but do they know that? It appears not, but hopefully, whoever Ayako ends up choosing, she's happy. That's all I want. If she's happy, I have the feeling I'll be happy.
