Ayako-
The next day, we began our internships. Meeting Mitsuki, I found out how Katsuki got his obnoxious personality. And it was just as clear how Kita was so calm in comparison, seeing their father's temperament.
I had chosen Best Jeanist, not sure which would be better, Hawks or him. I swore to myself that the next time I choose a hero to work with, it'd be Hawks, since he had wings like me. Already, Ichigo and Tokoyami both chose Hawks, so I figured I shouldn't work with him, and instead went with Best Jeanist.
"A-Ayako? You're here too?" Katsuki interrupted Best Jeanist's lecture on proper behavior to ask me.
"Mhm!" I smiled.
"As I was saying Bakugo, you need to calm down when you're saving kids, or even just talking to them. Now, let's fix that hair of yours." The hero made Katsuki sit down, and began combing his hair.
I giggled, knowing there's no way it'll stay down. I've run my fingers through his hair before, and he doesn't use gel to give it that shape. And for that matter, neither does Kita.
"Wonder how long it'll take to pop back up again." I smiled, standing next to him.
"I give it five minutes, or until the first kid bugs me." Katsuki replied with a laugh.
"Interesting... It appears the boy is calmed standing with her... How strange." Best Jeanist muttered.
We began patrolling, and not too much later we run into some kids. "Hey there." I smiled, crouching down to look them in the eyes. "I'm the hero Copycat. What's your names?"
"Niko Kazuta." The white haired boy said.
"Um... Kiriko Kazuta."
"And I'm Kamina Kazuta!" The biggest of the three smiled.
"Nice to meet you all!"
"What's up with that guy's hair?" Niko pointed at Katsuki, who's hair was shaking. Almost immediately after he pointed at the teen, Katsuki's hair popped up back into its normal style.
"Ah. It just works like that. I hope you all enjoy your day!" I quickly pulled Katsuki away from the kids. "Mind letting me get your hair wet?"
"Fine." Best Jeanist followed after us and watched with interest as I fixed Katsuki's hair.
"Great!" I made some water, and got his hair damp, styling it in a short ponytail. "And.... Done!"
I handed him a mirror and he looked at his reflection in surprise. "Why a ponytail?"
"I figured that's be the best way to make it stay."
"I see..."
"And, if you wanted, I could even dye your hair!"
"Really?"
"Yep! My hair's actually dyed."
"What color is it normally?"
"A shade of blonde close to white. It's actually really pretty."
"Why'd you change it?" He asked as we walked back to Best Jeanist's Agency.
"I liked it better this way." I shrugged.
"Hm. I think I like it too."
Ichigo-
"Hey there! I'm guessing you two are my new interns?"
"Yeah." I replied, smiling at the winged hero. Ever since I was a kid, when I saw Hawks on the news, I knew I wanted to be just like him. I could, actually, since my Quirk works the exact same as his.
"So why'd you choose my Agency?" Hawks turned to Tokoyami. "I can guess why he did, but why'd you?"
"Well, I figured since Dark Shadow's kind of like a bird, you could help me."
"Hmm... Have you ever tried to fly?"
"Uh... No...?"
"I see. Well, you are most definitely missing out. Hey kid," Hawks turned back to me. "What's your Quirk?"
"Same as yours." I demonstrated, and the other nodded.
"Cool. That makes this simpler. Now Tsukuyomi, let's get you flying!"
"Yay..?" Tokoyami sounded confused.
Kita-
Imi, Rikito, Akata, and Izuma all joined me and my older brother, Kanaka. "So little bro..."
"Yeah?" I looked over at him.
"Are these chaotic kids your friends?"
"Nope. Well, he is." I pointed at Imi. "The others aren't."
"I see." He nodded. My brother was the Pro Hero Firedragon, number fifteen. He had my and my twin's blonde, spiky hair, and an equal mix between our mother's personality and our father's. His Quirk, Dragon's Flames, gives him dragon wings similar to mine, but they're red instead of black. Kanaka had green eyes, which turned black when he's really into something, or angry. "Well, let's begin."
"Yeah!" Izuma grinned. Kanaka had sent a request for each of my classmates, but most of them chose someone else.
"Follow me! We'll be working in Hosu city."
Wandering the city, we encountered some creatures, similar to the one that had attacked us in the USJ.
I saw Tenya Iida, one of my classmates, run off, and followed after. Izuma followed me as well, and we watched as the boy encounter the Hero Killer.
I ran in, kicking the villain, and Izuma punched him in the gut.
Izuku Midoriya showed up some time later, seeing us all paralyzed by the villain, with him about to kill Iida. He, too, punched Stain, and they fought for a time, before he got paralyzed as well.
Not long after, Todoroki appeared, and fought the villain. I soon realised I could move again, so I waited for a moment before launching up and attacking Stain. Izuku began to move as well, and so did Izuma. I smiled at the two, and the four of us began to fight the villain.
Iida recovered as well, and together we knocked Stain unconscious.
Some heroes showed up, including an old man who kicked Izuku in the face and told him off for running off, as well as Kanaka.
"What happened?" He asked, noticing my wounds.
"Him." I pointed at the Hero Killer, and Kanaka nodded.
"I'm glad you're not too hurt."
"It's fine." I smiled. "I've gone through worse."
"Fair point." He ruffled my hair with a smile. "Just be more careful okay?"
"'Course."
Ayako-
When the others returned, Kita told me about how they faced off against Stain, and I must say, I was more than just a bit jealous. I wanted to have the guy's Quirk, since it'd be useful.
I walked around outside for a while, then flew up to the roof, noticing Ichigo sitting up there, looking confused. "Hey!"
"Hm? Ah. Hey Ayako." He looked at me with a tired smile.
"How'd your internship go?"
"Well, Hawks had us flying all day. My wings are tired..."
"That must suck." I sighed. "I guess I'm glad I didn't choose him huh?" I smiled. "Although, it may not be much of a problem for me, since I fly more than you."
"I suppose that's true." He smiled again as I sat down next to him.
"The sunset's pretty." I remarked, and I heard a murmured sound of assent as he fell asleep, laying on my shoulder. I sighed and shifted him a bit, laying him on my lap as I played with his messy yellow hair. I grabbed my phone, calling Katsuki.
"Yes?" He answered almost immediately.
"Ichi fell asleep on me, so would you mind bringing me some food or something?"
"Fine. Where are you two?"
"The roof of the school."
"Alright. See you in a bit." I smiled as he hung up. I called Kama, Ichigo's Mom, as well.
"Ayako? What's up? You rarely call me."
"Yeah. Ichi fell asleep, so he'll be with me for a bit."
"What happened?"
"His internship wore him out a lot, so I'm going to let him sleep."
"I see. Well, take care you two."
"Of course. Bye Kama."
"Bye!"
I then called my mother, knowing she'd probably be annoyed. "Hey Mom?"
"Yes?"
"I'm gonna have to stay out tonight. Sorry I can't come home."
"Are you with that Bakugo kid again?"
"No, actually this time I'm with Ichi. His internship wore him out so much he passed out on me."
"I see. Well, come home when you can. And understand this, you will not be allowed to keep doing this unless you ask first, got it?"
"Yes ma'am." I laughed. "Love you Mom."
"I love you too Ayako."
She hung up, and I smiled, waiting for Katsuki. "Hey Ayako!" He called from the ground. "You up there? They locked the doors, so I can't walk up there."
"I'm up here!" I called back, and heard explosions from below. He had blasted his way up to me, handing me a package which I assumed held my food.
"I asked the hag if I could stay with you again."
"What'd she say?"
"Yes." He dropped the backpack he wore on the ground and sat next to me, watching the slow sunset. "I brought a change of clothes for me, and since Kita knows this guy's brother, I had him find out where you and him live, so I got you both clothes too, as well as some of your makeup and stuff."
"How thoughtful." I smiled, staring at the pretty sky.
"I was actually wondering, can I try to do your makeup?"
"Feel free." I smiled, making a small flame to illuminate my face. I created a pillow, and moved Ichigo onto it. "There we go." I turned back to Katsuki, who was digging through the backpack.
"I asked your mother for advice on what to bring, but she just shrugged and told me to guess. So I got this stuff." He brought out several pallets of eyeshadow, most of my lipstick, and eyeliner.
"Well, you guessed well." I smiled, and sat cross-legged in front of him.
"Thanks." He smiled as well, and had me close my eyes. For the rest of the night, I followed his instructions, moving my head quite a lot. In the end, I looked almost like a doll, and neither of us had slept a wink.
"You're actually really good at makeup Katsu."
"Thanks." He smiled, then turned red after he realised I had called him a nickname. "Wh-What was that for?"
"Hm?"
"C-Calling me Katsu."
"Well, I'm fairly sure after two full night together, as well as interning together, we've gotten pretty close. Was I wrong to assume that?"
"No. But uh.."
"What?"
"I- Um..."
"What're you trying to say?"
"I-I think I love you!" He pressed his lips against mine, pulling back quickly.
I just smiled, wiping the smudged lipstick from his lips. "I think I do as well." I hadn't thought his face could turn redder, but it did. He was saved from having to reply by Ichigo waking up.
"Morning...." He yawned.
"Good morning sleepy head. Katsu has a change of uniform for you. Homeroom starts in... Huh. Twenty minutes." I grabbed a hairbrush from my bag, and tossed it to him. "Feel free to keep it. I've got five more in here." I tapped my backpack
"Why do you keep so many hair brushes on you?"
"Why not?" Ichigo laughed and left, taking the offered uniform. Katsuki followed after, giving me a hug before he left.
I grabbed what was left in Katsuki's spare backpack, and went to the locker room to fix up my lipstick and change. I went into 1A with a smile, my uniform nowhere near as messy as I had been the last time I didn't sleep at home.
