Volume 1 : Chapter 4

Daisy came back from library with her brother and returned to her room. She thought of the possible ways to make baron Alphus like her .Time passed by and it became dinner time. A maid came in to call Daisy for dinner. It was unusual as neither the maids nor the baron cared for her. She dressed up and went downstairs to the dinner hall. Baron Alphus was seated in the middle and her brother Rio was also there .

Daisy greeted her father and took her seat. It was awkwardly silent . Daisy decided to break that awkwardness by speaking something. But she became speechless after seeing the baron's face. She gathered up courage and decided to speak up.

Daisy said " Papa ! How was your day??" and smiled pleasantly.

The baron was shocked and replied "It was fine" . Daisy has never called him Papa and addressed him very formally. She avoided talking with him and was always lonely.

Although the baron replied very shortly, his face looked happier and the coldness in his face disappeared. Daisy noticed it.

After the dinner was over she walked to her room. On the way she met baron Alphus. He said her " You can call me Papa " with a stern look. She was quite surprised by his words .

She replied with a smile" Ok ! Papa .Have a good night ". She went to her room and sat on the bed. She realised that the baron actually loves Daisy but he did not know to show his affection. Just a single word made him happier. He might have had a cold look earlier since I called him baron Alphus like a stranger. Still she wanted to know more about baron Alphus.

Suddenly a maid entered to check Daisy. Her name was Mary .She has worked in that mansion for nearly 15 year. She was the only maid who looked after Daisy .

Mary asked " Milady ! You have to sleep now. May I read you a book?".

Daisy decided to ask Mary about the baron and asked " Mary! can you say me about my father ."

Mary replied" Oh my!! What made Milady ask such a question?"

Daisy replied" I wanna know more about my father ".

Mary started to say about baron Alphus .....
