CHAPTER 25
"Anaise Otis! Would you mind answering the question on the board?"
"Uhh... No?"
"Answer the question unless you will be seeing the principal."
I look round the room and see some mouth the answer to me.
"Kingdom Animalia. The answer is Kingdom Animalia isn't it?" I smirk at the teacher. I'm sure he is hoping that I got the answer wrong. Well too bad for him.
"Sit down and pay attention Miss Otis."
"Sure thing Mr. Kendall."
After class, I go up to the slightly familiar looking boy that helped me today.
"Hey thanks for saving my ass back there."
"No problem. That teacher is just too sour. If you don't remember, my name is Clive."
Clive, Clive, Clive, Clive!!!
If you don't remember, Clive was the kid that sat with me on my first day of school in the bus. Yes, the talker.
"Oh I remember you Clive. Anyway I've got to go. Thanks again."
"You're welcome."
I walk away from hit to my next class. I think my prayer from two days ago worked and is still working. So far. I had a great hair day yesterday and today. Tyler kept all his milk in his mouth. Maddy is still killing me and resurrecting me and killing me again in her head, but as usual, I look her way and either wink or blow a kiss at her. I'm that cruel.
Prom. I'm not sure whether I'll be there for it. I know I'm supposed to go, but that is the D-day for me. I don't want to leave Josh dateless but I can't tell him either. My first prom ever with my first boyfriend ever, but instead of slow dancing with him on the dance floor, I'm gonna be kicking some ass like the Agent I was trained to be. I'm not happy about this but there's nothing I can do about it. My thoughts are cut short when I hear my name from the teacher. Again.
Oww mehn!!! Is today attract the teacher's attention day? Cause I totally forgot!
"Yes Miss Stephanie."
"A penny for your thoughts."
"Naa I'm good." The class snickers at my response, but Miss Stephanie glares at me.
"Pay attention unless you'll be seeing me at detention today."
"Sure."

"What is up with you today?You've been zoning out a lot."
"I'm worried about Friday. It's only two days more."
"Are you sure it's about the mission?"
"Ivy!"
"I know it's about Josh. Spill!"
"It's just that I don't think I'll make it for prom. My first prom ever with my first boyfriend and I'm afraid I'll have to leave him hanging while I'm out kicking some booty." I sigh.
"Ohh! That's horrible."
"I know. I just wish I could tell him, but I can't. If my agency knew about you and Janice, I'm sure they will wipe y'all memories or something."
"Hell naa! There's no way I'm gonna have my memory wiped."
"Chill! I'm just kidding."
"That's better."
"Maybe." I whisper.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing! I said Baby! Baby...yeah I said baby."
"Of course you did." I flash her my best smile.

"We're eating out today!" Candace announces.
"Yes!!! Can have Pizza and Ice cream?" Tyler screams.
"Why would we leave the house to go out and eat pizza, when pizza could have come here?!"
"Whatever." He sticks his tongue out at Janice, and she does same.
We all dress up and head to a Chinese restaurant. I absolutely love their food. When we enter the restaurant though, I get the feeling that we are being watched. I look around the restaurant, but I don't see anyone familiar. All I see is a couple that is sitting in front of us. They have their menu blocking their faces so I can't see who they are. I order my food and so does everyone else. This feeling isn't going. I look up from my food, and the sight I see has me choking down on my food.
"Are you okay? Drink some water." Aaron says and everyone is looking at me all concerned.
"I'm fine. I'll be right back." I stand up and walk to the restroom.
"What are you doing here? I thought I put you in jail."
"Nice to see you too Anaise." Vivian turns to lock the door after someone else walks in. Someone that took my best friend away from me and turned her evil. The idiot who is behind all this. Aiden.
"Ahhh, Agent Anaise. Long time no see. How have you been?"
"You!!!!"
"Yes, Me! I know I'm awesome."
"You'll be more awesome when I send you stupid ass to jail."
"Watch your mouth Agent!" He says with spite.
"I can't wait to see you on Friday."
"So you're behind the drug smuggling?! I knew it."
"I wish it was me honey, but I'm not behind it. We will be expecting you on Friday. Ta ta!" He turns to the door, and Vivian smirks at me before following him out the door.
What the hell just happened?
"You took so long. What happened?" Janice asks me when I get back to the table.
"Ohh nothing. There was a long line for the bathroom." The others accept this excuse, but Janice squints her eyes at me, trying to intimidate me. I raise my brow at her and she does same to me. I shrug and she does same. I shake my head and stare at my plate. After a while, I feel her eyes leave me.

"So that's what happened?" Janice asks.
"Yup." I say popping the p.
"So Aiden isn't the main boss?" Dan asks.
"If what Aiden said is true, then no."
"So what are you gonna do?" Ivy is clearly concerned.
"We will find out in two-days time. Thank you guys for the support. Especially you guys, Janice and Ivy. You shouldn't be involved in my mess, but here you are swimming in my problems. Thank you."
"Hey! what about us?"
"Dave, you guys have been in this shit with me since day one. Thank you too."
"You are welcome babe!" Janice and Ivy greet.
"Good night guys. Hey Ivy, we have to go shopping tomorrow. Even though I won't be there for prom, at least let me have the dress." I grin to Ivy and Janice.
"You bet sistuh! Good night!"
