While he was fast asleep, the wretched soul fragment told May everything. Lavanuk tried to wake Bob up before the crisis but May was a step faster. She didn't want Lavanuk to cry out and disturb the peacefully sleeping Bob.

She wanted to know about this spirit fragment, and thus let it yap on. However, her smile slowly faded, which soon turned to a frown. Lavanuk knew that the jig was up, and thus decided to stay neutral by sitting further away.

May knew exactly how it was. That power was a combination of Lavanuk's flames and Bob's chaotic element. In simpler terms, they were both responsible for this.
