Even though she was used to embracing quietude by herself, time was slowly becoming unbearable for Syn. For some reason, the privacy that was given to her was stifling. She swigged a teaspoonful of saliva as she continued fidgeting her fingers. If someone could marvel the light in her eyes, they would notice the discomfort that she was feeling. But despite all of that, she didn't want to trouble the guards anymore. She wanted to be behaved as much as possible, considering that she knew how the guards thought about serving her.

'Get a grip on yourself, Syn. This is not the time to invite anxiety in your mind.' She scolded herself, half out of dismay and the other out of cowardice.
