This is a story about an open-relationship between an unwilling prostitute and a married man. 


He was in an open marriage, but she's not the wife. To be one of the many partners of a man committed to another woman was her role. 


She wanted to hide her feelings that were starting to grow, her longing to be by his side, and lastly herself, by virtue of an open relationship. 


However, it was all for naught. When everything came to light, she desired to end the relationship they had. Her last words echoed through his mind as she bid him farewell through her mournful eyes. 


"If only I hadn't met you, I wouldn't be hurting this badly."

"Well, I don't really know what's happening behind the scenes. That's just my take on the matter."

After Syn was done speaking, she got a hold of her wine glass and leisurely took a sip from it. Talking for a long time made her throat dry. Nonetheless, she wouldn't have noticed it since she was a tad too absorbed in the conversation. Her brain was endlessly processing all of the pieces of information she had been continuously receiving.

Satisfied of the aroma and the taste that permeated her senses, Syn put the glass down. She then returned her attention to Konrad. He was silently abiding for her to be done drinking, though he did take a sip of his own wine in the middle of waiting.

"If we're talking about the matter in general, then you're not far from the truth. Let me ask you this. If Mr Theodore Averon wanted to retain his position, why would he choose me as the private investor? Doesn't that sound like he's giving up his company?"
