Kaia Marschall, a mute student of Fanning High is in her final year of high school, waiting to start her university life.

So, when it was discovered and announced that killing a person will allow the killer to gain that person’s lifespan, she was killed. Only to return to the age of twelve, to the day of her mother’s death, the day everything begun to go wrong in her life, with the chance to change her destiny.

In The Eyes of the Beholder

"Kaia." Ran called to her and his was the only voice that Kaia could hear with all the ringing in her ears.

What is happening? She thought as a white haze filled her vision.

She shook her head, trying to clear her mind out of it but it would keep coming and so would the stinging pain.

"Relax." A voice called out from the haze. She looked around but she couldn't see anything, though, this voice sounded so familiar.

"Relax. Otherwise, it will keep getting more and more painful." The voice said again and she felt herself get weaker until she collapsed with her face hitting the ground out of sheer exhaustion.

The voices of her friends faded away as her eyes closed and she became swallowed by this white haze.

Kaia opened her eyes to see herself in a place filled with just white fog as far as the eye can see, which is not far at all.
