In The Eyes of the Beholder

Kaia stood up as the ringing in her ears didn't seem to stop.

Everything was hazy and she could hardly catch her footing as she looked to her side.

Shia is also sitting up, though she was covered entirely in soot. The blast blew them far enough for the debris to not land on them but she was not relaxed yet.

Shia flinched as she felt the ringing in her hears grow louder.

She checked up on Kaia first, the two seem to be covered entirely in scratches but there was no proper time to properly check. Their concerns were on the other three.

Forcing themselves to stand up, they made their way through the burning fires in front of them and walked to the rubble.

"Max! Caitlyn! Dorran!" Shia shouted, the pain on her shoulder getting worse as they trudged on.

"Are you two ok?" Max asked, hidden under some rubble.

The two ran and helped to pull him out. Fortunately, he did not seem to be as injured.
