Reconciliation

"That was a big cry." Shia chuckled as they walked back to the car. "Sorry about that you two. I couldn't help myself for some reason." 

"It's ok, Shia," Florence said, smiling up at her. 

"Now, let's stop somewhere for dinner and then I will drop you guys hone, alright?" 

"We couldn't have that." Florence said, "You already did a lot for us." 

"This is a strictly selfish request," Shia said, looking at the ground. "I ... I don't wish to eat alone tonight." 

"What about your parents?" Lily asked, slightly surprising Shia. "What?" 

"You were so quiet, I didn't think you were going to talk to me at all." Shia chuckled. "Well, about them. Who knows what they are even up to. 

"The house is so empty, I can hear my heartbeat. Sometimes that is comforting but ... It is frightening to me a lot of the times as well." Shia said, a little out of it. "Please? Just dinner?"
