Chapter 69: Zircuss

  The tension between the two men grew even stronger, and it seems like I wasn't beside them at all. Even though I wanted to back out or just stop them from having an intimidating conversation, another side of me doesn't want to deal with big guys like them.

  "Ya mean the Leader?" Joniel asked with a raised eyebrow. Then, he raised his hand and pointed a finger to my companion. His brows became furrowed once more. "Hey, even you retired, that doesn't mean you can't give respect."

  The way he looked at Heron out of irritation after saying that really showed his respect for their leader. Back in Deravon, the majority of the people didn't sincerely give their loyalty to King Gandior or to the prince. They just followed him because he was the king. I couldn't blame them since he even tried to use me in his experiments because of my ability to use magic.
