Breaking Into MOURNINGSIDE/Silver Sphere
INT. PEARSON LIVING ROOM
REGGIE is asleep on the RECLINER as MIKE was wide awake, watching TV as he see's a PAIR of HEADLIGHTS pull into the DRIVEWAY, MIKE leaning up as he hears the familiar sounds of a man getting out of a car, closing the car door, shuffling up to the front door.
MIKE watches as JODY comes inside, JODY looking at MIKE with a large shit eating grin as he trips over REGGIE'S LEGS before he reaches the COUCH.
JODY
You still up...man?
JODY hiccup's as he lays his head against his brother.
MIKE
Go to your room, JODY.
JODY
Yeah, I'm in my room.
MIKE
You're in the living room.
JODY
Yeah.
JODY quickly starts drifting off to sleep as MIKE quickly moves to the side and lets JODY lay all the way on the couch, MIKE going over to the FIREPLACE where they had a RACK of GUNS hanging up near a CABINET full of AMMO and smaller arms.
MIKE looks to make sure the TWO were still asleep before he takes the KEY and unlocks the cabinet, MIKE grabbing a .45 and two reload clips before he quickly locks it back up, MIKE tucking the GUN into the back of his pants and puts the reloads in his pockets.
MIKE hurries upstairs and grabs two things from his room, a locket with a picture of him, JODY, and his PARENTS. MIKE looks at it and quickly puts it in his breast pocket before he straps his BUCK KNIFE around his ankle again.
MIKE comes back downstairs, and looking at REGGIE and JODY sleeping, and quietly MIKE quickly slips out of the house.
EXT. STREET
MIKE looks around as the dark was all around him as only some houses had their outside lights on, MIKE looking around before he begins briskly jogging down the street as the PHANTASM THEME begins playing.
EXT. MOURNINGSIDE
MIKE comes up to the GATES of MOURNINGSIDE as they were firmly locked up, MIKE checking them before he looks around and decides to scale the GATE.
MIKE hurries up without any problems and landing on the other side, MIKE checks about before he pulls out his CELL PHONE and uses a FLASHOUT APP to light the way in front of him as he heads down the dark path that leads towards the MORTUARY.
MIKE walks down the road with only a small amount of light to lead him through, MIKE watching as he was heading past the CEMETARY which was eerily translucent as a mist was about.
MIKE continues on but nearly screams as a HAND grabs his shoulder.
MIKE hurries to grab his gun but another hand stops him.
JAYSON
Stop stop, Mike it's me!
MIKE
JAYSON, what the fuck?!
JAYSON
Did you think I wasn't going to show up, I've been here for like five minuets, waiting on you.
MIKE
You alright?
JAYSON
It's kinda freaky, but yeah I'm alright.
JAYSON shows MIKE a P38 SNUB NOSE.
JAYSON
Stole it from my dad.
MIKE
Good.
MIKE pulls out his .45 as he loads one of his CLIPS into it and then puts it back around his back.
MIKE
CEMETARY or MORTUARY?
JAYSON
Might as well check this place out while we're here.
MIKE nods and JAYSON and MIKE head off into the CEMETARY, as MIKE and JAYSON walk without the light from MIKE'S FLASHLIGHT APP.
JAYSON
Ever shot that gun before?
MIKE
Lot's of times, DAD took me and JODY hunting and to the shooting range all the time. JODY was usually a better shot but I don't do that bad, I at least can hit my target. What about that little shooter you got?
JAYSON
Oh that thing, I figure you aim and shoot and that...
JAYSON hollers as he disappears into the ground below, MIKE quickly stopping as he looks about in horror as JAYSON had fallen into a OPEN GRAVE.
MIKE looks about before he drops to his stomach.
MIKE
JAYSON! JAYSON?!
JAYSON
What?
MIKE
You okay?
JAYSON
I fell into a goddamn open grave.
MIKE
So...?
JAYSON
I'm fine!!
MIKE
How deep down are you?
JAYSON
Not that far, I can probably pull myself up.
JAYSON pulls out his cellphone and clicks a button to make a light come on, and as he does JAYSON screams as a ROTTING HAND was a few inches from where his face was. JAYSON quickly scrambles away and climbs up as MIKE pulls him up, JAYSON wiping his mouth and rubbing some dirt off as MIKE pulls his phone up and puts on his FLASHLIGHT APP as he scans about, looking on horrified.
MIKE
Oh my god...
JAYSON stands up by MIKE and looks on with MIKE before he covers his mouth in shock.
FOUR ENTIRE ROWS OF THE CEMETERY WERE DUG UP, WITH OPEN GRAVES, AND MISSING COFFINS.
MIKE and JAYSON walk along the middle rows, looking at each individual now DUG OPEN GRAVES as MIKE and JAYSON look on confused.
MIKE
What the hell...is going on...?
JAYSON
I don't know...I don't know...
MIKE
Why is all of this happening?
JAYSON notices some headlights appear from the MORTUARY and JAYSON turns MIKE to it as MIKE and JAYSON run to cover as the HEARST appears and backs it up towards a GRAVE, MIKE and JAYSON looking up from a GRAVE that they were hiding in as they noticed the GAS MASKED MAN from earlier appear and reach down into the GRAVE, the TWO watching in shock as the GAS MASKED MAN pulls up a CASKET by himself and places it into the back of the HEARST.
JAYSON
What the fuck...?
MIKE
How is that possible?
As the GAS MASKED MAN begins to go around to the front of the HEARST, JAYSON'S CELL PHONE goes off.
JAYSON quickly silences it but MIKE covers JAYSON'S MOUTH and pulls him down as the GAS MASKED MAN looks about instantly before he begins walking down the rows looking about, MIKE pulling his GUN out as he and JAYSON lean against the side of the GRAVE as the GAS MASKED MAN comes right up next to the GRAVE beside them, his back to them as MIKE and JAYSON close their eyes as the GAS MASKED MAN looks about before heading back to the HEARST, starting it back up before driving off towards the MORTUARY.
JAYSON and MIKE take deep breaths as MIKE slaps JAYSON across the back of the head.
MIKE
You didn't turn off your fucking cell phone!
JAYSON
I thought I did, man. I'm sorry.
MIKE
Come on.
MIKE pulls himself up as JAYSON does the same thing, the two dusting themselves off as MIKE looks at the MORTUARY.
MIKE
Let's go check this place out.
JAYSON
Dude, I think we've seen enough man, let's just take some pictures and get out of here.
MIKE
Take some pictures of this and go home if you want, but I'm going in to see what the hell is going.
JAYSON huffs and takes some pictures as MIKE waits about for a few moments before JAYSON puts his phone away and follows MIKE towards the MORTUARY.
JAYSON and MIKE reach the front of the MORTUARY, both surveying it's massive marble structure as MIKE grabs JAYSON and pulls him around the side.
JAYSON
What's going on?
MIKE
Let's see if there's another way to get inside this place then the front door.
The TWO go around the side as they look about before JAYSON spots a WINDOW that leads into a BASEMENT AREA, JAYSON tapping MIKE who shines his CELL PHONE LIGHT on it before he looks about and kicks the WINDOW IN.
JAYSON cringes at the sound as MIKE heads drops down feet first inside, JAYSON following as MIKE pulls his .45 up and about as JAYSON lands and shines his CELL PHONE about as BOXES and other odd objects were placed about the LARGE BASEMENT.
MIKE and JAYSON heads towards the back end towards the LARGE IRON DOOR, MIKE and JAYSON walking side by side towards each other as they come up to the DOOR, JAYSON unlatching the large WOODEN brace before MIKE steps back and raises his gun, JAYSON opening the door.
INT. MORTUARY
MIKE steps forward aiming about but sees nothing as the LIGHTS were dimly lit around the MORTUARY as JAYSON comes up beside him, looking about they begin down the hallway but both stop and quickly run to a nearby room as they hear footsteps coming down the adjacent hallway, the TWO WATCHING as a MAN in a TUX pushes a GURNEY with a BLOODY SHEET covering whatever was underneath the SHEET.
JAYSON looks on confused as MIKE waits a few moments before he walks out, JAYSON following as they begin towards the inner part of the MORTUARY, listening as something is humming loudly not that far off.
JAYSON
Do you hear that?
MIKE
Yeah...
They head towards the sound, guns in hand.
SOMEWHERE IN THE MORTUARY
A DARK ROOM with a few lit candles situated about show the TALL MAN sitting in a CHAIR that looks almost like a THRONE.
THE TALL MAN looks down at something and smirking he looks behind him.
TALL MAN
We have guests...tend to them.
The TALL MAN goes back to staring into the darkness as from behind him, a SILVER SPHERE suddenly appears and making a metallic noise, it zooms off.
ELSEWHERE
MIKE and JAYSON look about a corner before heading down it, JAYSON looking at all the NAMES of people in their tombs inside th=e MORTUARY.
JAYSON
Are you parent's close by?
MIKE
They're not this way...
JAYSON
Do you think he's...
MIKE
I don't want to think about that.
JAYSON
Yeah I don't blame you.
MIKE grabs his head as JAYSON does too as the HUMMING was growing more and more intense.
MIKE
What the hell is that?!
JAYSON and MIKE come up to a DOOR, an ALL WHITE DOOR with STRANGE SYMBOLS and GREEK STATUES AND HEADS plastered all around it.
JAYSON and MIKE stare at it confused before they hear and see the shadows of someone walking very fast towards them.
MIKE
Let's go...
The TWO run down the hall but as they do a MAN in a JUMPSUIT appears and tackles MIKE down, JAYSON thrown off as he turns to see the MAN in the TUX appear down the hallway, JAYSON looking at MIKE who was struggling to get the MAN off of him, JAYSON quickly running over as kicks the MAN across the face, the MAN letting go of MIKE as he nose instantly broke and begin to pool blood, JAYSON helping MIKE up as the two hurry down the hallway but stop as they notice the SILVER SPHERE round the corner and stop.
JAYSON and MIKE look on confused as the SILVER SPHERE HUMS and then ZOOMS TOWARDS them, TWO LARGE RETRACTING BLADES appearing from the SILVER SPHERE, MIKE noticing it just as he knocks JAYSON down with him, the SILVER SPHERE firing pass them as it then impales itself into the MAN that JAYSON kicked.
THE MAN tries to pry the SPHERE out of his head but can't as the SPHERE suddenly produces a DRILL and begins drilling into the MIDDLE of the MAN'S HEAD, The MAN screaming in agony as a hole opens up in the back of the SPHERE and begins draining the blood out of the MAN'S BODY, JAYSON and MIKE watching from on their backs on the floor as MIKE scrambles up and away as the BLOOD was quickly pooling towards them.
The MAN in the TUX just watches them as the SPHERE continues to drain the MAN, now bile, and bodily fluids were shooting out of the back, JAYSON vomiting as MIKE aims his .45 and shoots.
The BULLET hits the SPHERE and the SPHERE explodes, but as it explodes the MAN'S HEAD EXPLODES with it, MIKE watching the gory display in horror as the MAN in the TUX just tilts his head and begins towards them, MIKE aiming at him.
MIKE
Don't fucking move!
The MAN with the TUX continues on and as he does MIKE fires, hitting the MAN with the TUX in the head.
JAYSON watches in horror as the MAN falls over dead, MIKE shaking as JAYSON comes over beside him. As he watches the headless body twitch, as the other body lay motionless.
JAYSON
We gotta go...
MIKE
I...
JAYSON
MIKE, we have to go!
The MAN IN THE TUX twitches violently, JAYSON and MIKE watching in horror as the MAN IN THE TUX suddenly sets up, something in his skull protruding out as suddenly the top part of his skull burst outward and a SILVER SPHERE appears, as blood and brain matter slide off of it.
JAYSON and MIKE tremble as the SILVER SPHERE shoots forward and the TWO are too late to react.
But the SILVER SPHERE speeds past them, JAYSON and MIKE unable to move from pure terror, but as they hear it's hum disappear, the TWO break for the back area.
SOMEWHERE IN THE MORTUARY
The SILVER SPHERE appears in front of the TALL MAN, the TALL MAN taking it and gently rubs some brain matter off of it.
TALL MAN
Show me everything.
JAYSON and MIKE head towards the back end as JAYSON hears something familiar.
JAYSON looks behind him as suddenly from the darkness a little dwarf sized creatures come charging towards them, JAYSON screaming as he begins running faster towards the back door that led into the basement as MIKE noticed them only after JAYSON ran past hm, MIKE firing back a few times hitting one as it fell over dead.
MIKE runs into the BASEMENT as JAYSON pushes the DOOR CLOSED just as a LURKER reaches towards MIKE'S LEGS. MIKE DIVES inside just as JAYSON slams the door shut, JAYSON leaning against the door as MIKE breathes heavy, but both look at the door as they hear the sound of something beating against it.
JAYSON backs away horrified as MIKE watches a SMALL HAND slapping against the DOOR as it's hand had been crushed and caught against the side crevices.
MIKE pulls his BUCK KNIFE out and scooting over he slams it against the LURKER'S HAND, watching as it's fingers are all chopped off with the violent swing. JAYSON leaps back in horror as the LURKER screamed in an inhuman voice, MIKE reaching over as he grabs one of the fingers and puts it in JAYSON'S breast pocket.
MIKE
Let's get out of here.
MIKE runs to the back WINDOW they kicked out as JAYSON follows, MIKE climbing out first as JAYSON reaches up and pulls himself up but as he does TWO LURKER'S APPEAR from out behind some of the boxes and grab JAYSON'S LEFT LEG, JAYSON screaming as he tries to kick and shake the LURKER'S OFF but as he does MIKE reaches in and stabs down with his knife, stabbing a LURKER in the head.
The LURKER let's go and JAYSON kicks the other one off of his leg as MIKE pulls JAYSON out.
MIKE
Run and don't look back!
The TWO take off running as fast as they can, both not noticing The GAS MASKED MAN standing at the front of the steps watching them as a SILVER SPHERE appears beside him.
