"Are you going to keep staring at the letter forever?" Afreen questioned as she noticed that Javid's eyes stopped roaming around as it read the familiar handwriting of his son. "Is Ashkan okay?" she was starting to get worried from the poker face that was displayed on his face.

"H-he is fine," Javid answered after he snapped out of his own world. He wondered if he should tell her about what was going on with Ashkan.

Afreen didn't buy what her husband just said so, she stared at him right in the eye, searching for the truth in his words. What he said might be true but it wasn't the complete truth.

"If something is going on with my son, then I would like to know what it is, Javid," she said closing her eyes as she tried to keep her composure. She couldn't believe that she had to tell him of her rights as Ashkan's mother.
