Chapter 27: Camping 1.3
Third person point of view
The afternoon activity went succesfully as the students given a time to rest because later at the evening, teachers are giving them a surprise activity.
"I wonder what kind of activity is that" Pip said while sitting inside of their tent while Jenrick is already sleeping because he is too tired.
"Maybe a open forum?" Zaizen said while playing catching ball with Rich. They stop when Rich realize something.
"What if a talent show? Usually that kind of show is pretty much accurate" Rich said and they both looked amazed of what Rich has said.
Rich just laugh because they look stupid looking at him like he does something great.
"You are smart dude! I want to sing!" Pip declare while raising his arms. Zaizen made him sit down.
"Can you sing?" Rich asked and Pip nodded his head. He is pretty confident at himself and he knows that he can sing.
"Wait I didn't hear you singing?" Zaizen and Pip look at him seriously.
"You are right but you know the guilt feeling? I suddenly interested in music and I feel inside of me that I can sing" he said while expressing it through it's hands that made him look stupid.
"Can you play guitar?" Rich said
"Suddenly? No of course"
"Let me play the guitar. Wait for me" Rich said and he stand up for look for his guitar. He brought one because he likes to play guitar.
"Do you usually play guitar?" Pip asked and Rich set it up, he smile and he strumming instead of answering him.
"Bright Lights, Fancy Restaurants. Everything in this world that a man could want. I got a bank account bigger than the law should allow. Still I'm lonely now" Rich sings and they look at him.
Jenrick suddenly wake up because of the voice of Rich. He raise his eyebrows when he heared Rich singing.
"Even though it seems I have everything
I don't want to be a lonely fool
All of the women, all the expensive cars, all the money don't amount to you" Rich sings, Pip froze on his place.
He got the looks, brain, personality and also he is talented. A lot of reasons that Catherine would like about Rich.
Suddenly Pip got jealous about him.
"Wow you got a nice husky voice" Zaizen compliment him that made him smile.
"What do you want to sing?" Rich asked Pip and he smile, he slowly open his bag.
He is thinking if he wants to give it try but he shook his head. He ignore it and he look at the three who is looking at him.
"Anything you know how to strum" Pip said and Rich suddenly strum.
"Do you know I'd rather?" Rich asked when he stop strumming. Pip nodded his head and Rich start strumming.
"I thought sometime alone
Was what we really needed" Pip sings as the song lyrics hit him.
Sometimes Pip think that what he really need. He doesn't have a specific goal yet. He just want his twin sister to be happy.
But maybe this time, he will find the goal that he want. The jamming ended as the girls suddenly open their tent.
"Is that your voice!?" Piper said and Pip slowly nodded his head. They flinched when the girls suddenly screamed as they shake Pip to sing more.
Evening came and Mr. Sy called them for a dinner. They eat while talking their predictions about what will happen earlier.
"Maybe a bingo? I want to win prizes" Zaizen said
"Bingo? Maybe a film showing and then we need to do a reaction paper. I mean school will never leave us with a school work" Piper said and they whine, they hope that they don't do it.
"You know?" Natty asked Jenrick and he shook his head. Jenrick finished his meal with a drink.
"No, I mean Dad told me that the whole activity is based on the teachers" he said and they nodded their heads.
"Mr. Sy what we will do?" Pip asked and Mr. Sy smirk as he guide them to the covered gym.
The students went gasp as the teachers decorate the stage with the microphones. And the students cheer as they saw the tarpulin with the name '2020 TALENT SHOW'
"Students, please settle down to start our program" Mrs. Perez said while smiling at them. The students line up by their sections.
"Students as you see the faculty decided to have the on the spot talent show. Are you excited?" She said as the students cheer loud and the teachers smile wide as they feel the excitement of the students.
"I have something to explain about tonights program. Every section of each year will have their representative. We will allowed back up dancers, or maybe the whole section is fine"
"The judges are going to be our director. And also your votes, the winner is going to receive a school supplies and also a dinner meal of the whole section. Points will be add if your representative wins or have a places" Mrs. Perez said and she smile.
"So let our show begins!" She declared and the students stand up to cheer.
"Who want to show their talent?" Piper asked and she look to her classmates but seems like no one is interested.
Except the three idiots pointing at Pip, who is shooking his head. Their classmates suddenly push him.
"You told me that you want to showcase your singing?" Piper said while smirking at her twin brother.
"I'm shy!"
"When did you get shy? You sing well" Jenrick said, Pip look back and he saw his friends showing their support.
Rich show his guitar. Catherine and Natty look at him as they pat his shoulders.
"I didn't have my art materials so you need to do it. And also our classmates will dance after you sing" Catherine said as she smile at Pip.
Pip's world slow down as Catherine show her sweetest smile. Pip smile sweet and he nodded his head.
The whole class cheer as they plan what they going to do. The program start and they love to see the other students, showcase their talents.
Mostly of the students dance and some are singing also. But one students catch their eyes, it was Stacy doing an act with her male classmate.
Natty look back at Zaizen who is furrowing his eyebrows. Natty shook her head, maybe he is just into their acting.
And then there section called up, the students can't believe what they saw.
"Please welcome Pip Peter Alvarez and Rich Alonzo!"
Pip and Rich position in the stage as Pip cough. Rich look at him to sign that he is going to play now.
Rich start to play as the female students start to screamed. The cheer louder when Rich sing first

"Do you remember when I said I'd always be there?

I didn't know it back then" he sings as his eyes land on Catherine who is waiting for their turn.
Yes, Rich once promise Catherine that he will be always by her side. But his feelings are starting to fade away.
He didn't know that he can keep that. Because he feels that everytime he will stay away from her.
"Now I realize you were the only one
It's never too late to show it

Have feelings we had before
Back when we were so innocent" Pip sings, students gasp as they heared about Pip's singing voice.
It was sweet as honey, it was not that high not as low. It was average that could make girls fall in love with his voice.

Somebody pinch me (I must be dreamin')
This is something like a movie
And I don't know how it ends girl
But I fell in love with my best friend" Pip sings the first chorus.
Catherine look at Pip who is singing his heart out. Catherine suddenly feels her heart start to ramble.
Pip looks handsome with his serious face and the way he sings, it was attractive. Catherine slowly touch her heart and she can't breathe properly because of her heartbeats that keeps beating so fast.
They continue sings as Pip look at Catherine and Catherine swear Pip looks different when his eyes land on hers.
His look, his voice is something new to her that made her heart act crazy.
"I fell in love with my best friend
I remember when I said I'd always be there
Ever since we were ten, baby" Pip sings the last line while looking at Catherine.
They were not bestfriends, but they are friends. The most important that is Pip is sure that he is in love with her.
He is willing to confess to her even though the feelings are not give back.
