Nerves

It didn't take long for the noisy two to start giving their opinions.

"Now, what do we have here? I never imagined that in this end of the world there would be a beauty like that." Carlos spoke.

"I have the same opinion as you. I'm thinking of talking to her at the end of this shit meeting. It was the only thing it was worth coming for" The two laughed like they were ticklish chimpanzees.

Their laughter was the worst thing Arthur has ever heard. Even when he was forced to listen to a construction site near the orphanage for a week, as it was close to his room. He would rather have a jackhammer put in his ear than listen to that crap for another second.

But still, this is not what got on his nerves, but the 'shit meeting' part. He was not obliged to listen to that crap, but at the same time disrespecting that place, where so many people come to change his life, caused a wave of anger in him. And only that is necessary to start a fight.

The closest to him was Carlos, so he slowly walked over to him, giving no indication of anything. Soon he came in front of his target.

"What do you want, fatt-" Carlos didn't have enough time to finish the sentence, as he already had a punch right in front of his face.

POW!

Although it was strong, Arthur's weak bones did not contribute to consistent damage. His physical condition was no better than a 50-year-old man.

Once hit, Carlos felt an immense pain in his nose, but not so strong for a break, just a dislocation.

"What the hell do you think you're doing!?!?" Charles shouted when he saw his friend holding his bleeding nose.

"Asking for silence politely, jerk!" Arthur replied with a sarcastic smile, but this time with the intention of mocking both.

Charles couldn't take his mockery, so he went after Arthur with all his strength. He was the same height as his opponent, in addition to being more muscular than him.

When he got close enough to punch Arthur, he was already at least 1 meter away, running at full speed.

The meeting place was a small local gym, so there was plenty of space to run.

'I know my conditions well, I can't be a hero whenever a funny guy tries to fight back.' Arthur smiled. With his incredible smoker's lungs, it wasn't long before he stopped to rest. It was the moment when Charles reached him, receiving him with a jab, which hit Arthur's cheek, making him fall to the ground.

It was the perfect moment for a flurry of punches that Arthur received with all his chest open, since he had nothing to do, as he was much weaker than the enemy.

As soon as the other people realized what was going on, they ran to separate the two.

Silva, as he was known, was the first to arrive. He was 35 years old, and a great physique, as he had been willing to exercise every day to get rid of his addiction.

In less than 10 seconds, the two were already separated.

Silva was holding Charles by the shirt, while Arthur was already standing and slightly away.

The only one who really got hurt was Arthur, since even the punch in Carlos hurt his hand, due to his fragility. Now his eye was bruised, his mouth was bleeding, and his chest was bruised more than it should have been.

It didn't take long for Daniel to arrive too. After crossing the crowd that surrounded them, he said:

"What's going on here!?" His face was astonished, but at the same time he was angry, both at the lack of respect from others for coming over to watch the fight and at those who started the fight.

"This idiot out of nowhere started a fight with us !!!" Charles spoke, directing his anger towards Arthur and Silva, who separated them.

"It wasn't out of nowhere. I just found your little guy's face very ugly, so I wanted to fix it. It will look better now." He winked at Carlos, who was not far away.

"How is it, you idiot!?!?" Carlos shouted at him, but thanks to his nose, he was more funny than threatening. Before he could do anything, he was stopped by the crowd, to avoid further fights.

"Can anyone here please explain to me what's going on?" Daniel demanded, calmer, but still with a hint of anger in his voice.

"Fighting for self-defense. My ears don't deserve to hear these chimpanzees." Arthur spoke, laughing too.

"Very funny," Daniel gave a sarcastic smile "but this is not a place for fights, but to help each other. You are excused for today." He grunted and fought, but still with an ounce of brotherhood.

"I appreciate the hospitality, I really wanted to leave. I just expected a less painful layoff." Arthur laughed a little, but the bruises on his mouth only made a bad smile appear.

"Go to hell, sucker" Carlos spoke sarcastically.

"Don't you want to stay a little longer? I can get a tattoo on your other eye too!" Charles spoke laughing, his anger still very apparent.

"You two are also going with him. I noticed you both whispering all the time. Have more respect for others. Only come back when you create a little judgment." Daniel said.

"Well, since it's like that, I let the ladies go first. I've been beaten too much for today." Arthur started walking to the gym's bleachers, away from the stage and chairs, but close to the door.

"Cowards like you don't get very far in life!" Charles spoke with his anger rising again.

"Idiots like you don't either, but i don't say it around." Arthur replied, very calm for the whole situation.

"Come on, man. It's not worth fighting with this guy here," Carlos said, a little cheeky because of his nose.

"Hunf !!" Charles remung, but still left.

***

"Arthur, do you want me to call the orphanage to pick you up?" Asked Daniel, after all the mess had been resolved.

"No need, I can go walking. It's not that far" Arthur replied coldly, but a little relieved that someone was worried about him.

"So that's okay. Do you have any plans for the New Year? We're going to have a little get-together at Silva's house."

'Shit, I forgot that we were already at the end of the year!' Arthur thought, complaining to himself.

"Unfortunately, I don't think I can attend. I will be very busy doing nothing. But thanks for your kindness." Arthur let out a little laugh at the end.

'Confraternizations generate noise, which is not a flashy thing for me.' He thought to himself.

"Okay, I'm not going to force anything. And do yourself a favor, don't get into fights anymore. I looked at your historic, and it's not good for a young man like you. Mainly because of your conditions."

"Thank you very much," Arthur replied with a cold, sarcastic smile.

He soon got up and left.
