Mercenary Group

In that moment of tension, everyone around them was increasingly shocked. If before, the reason was Arthur's strength, now it was his speed.

Not even a second went by, but he was nowhere near where he was. The only thing that can be said about this speed is: Scary.

Arthur, after analyzing the situation and realizing that there was no intention hidden in the young man's eyes, thanks to the Vision of the Soul, relaxed a little and returned to a normal position.

Even Arthur began to realize that his Vision of the Soul was either weakening, or its application also depended on the Will of the other person. In some ordinary people, he could see purposes, dreams and traumas, as well as a part of the memories. In others, like some mercenaries here, he could see only a few traits of personality and purpose, but nothing more.

'Now, the only thing I can see from that person is his intention in just one attitude, but I can't see anything else. It may mean that he is much more powerful than me, or he has a stronger will. ' Theories started to form in Arthur's mind, trying to better understand his skills.

Goliath, who was now passed out, was at the young man's feet. Arthur released him when he felt the danger. His face was completely purple, but it was already starting to return to normal.

"I can't say anything about me right now, so I kindly ask you to come with me for a few moments. I want to have a conversation with you." In a courteous manner, the young man spoke while gesturing for Arthur to accompany him.

Still a little doubtful, Arthur remained still. From the expressions that people were making, he could tell that no one knew the young man. So he was either an outsider, or someone who never revealed himself to the public. Both are statuses of important people, inside the Arena.

With his back to Arthur, as he walked, the young man spoke again: "You left my secretary waiting for you last week, and you still made her shiver-" The young man stopped talking when he suddenly disappeared.

"Wha-" Arthur, who wondered where he was, again heard a voice from behind, which carried a cold, sharp tone, making it sound like the most threatening words in the world:

"But don't expect me to be so kind!" .

But instantly, as if nothing had happened, the young man again threw his arm around Arthur's shoulders and said, "So come on!" A gentle smile appeared on his perfectly angled face.

The people who stayed behind and watched the scene unfold, did not know what else to do. It was simply the start of a fight, ending with an impressive turnaround and that, after all, there was still another guy that no one there had ever seen ...

Do you think it's a movie?

If they didn't know the reality of things, they would really think it was all a joke.

One of the mercenaries who were there immediately said: "I know all this happened, but ... Do you have any idea who that guy is? The handsome black guy? Good looking, full of grace? He even looked like a-"

"Oh, man, shut up! I've never seen a person give so much detail to someone that everyone else has seen!" Another mercenary beside him, probably a friend, was irritated by the excess of description.

"It must be new people in management ... and from what he demonstrated, it must be at least an A level ..."

"I can't believe some people... Never mind, let's solve this mess!"

Thus, the mercenaries there mobilized to carry Goliath, requiring at least 5 level C. They also asked the Betting Hall for help to clean the place up.

Meanwhile, Arthur was walking behind the young man, and heading towards that same VIP room.

After they got there, Arthur saw that there were only two people in the room. One was Janice and the other ... a person covered in a cloak. She had a figure familiar to Arthur.

'So he called that person too, didn't he? It looks like he's important. ' Arthur knew that figure belonged to the same person who passed as a level B mercenary. She was taken by some smiling men shortly after passing, and after that, Arthur never saw her again.

In trying to use the Soul Vision on it, everything that Arthur saw was again an intention and only.

'So my conjecture is right. Close to people more powerful than me, or who have a mental level that matches my ability, it doesn't work well. '

While thinking, they soon sat down. The room was very cozy and full of technological gadgets. The furniture was comfortable and modern, with a glass wall overlooking the Arena. Over there where the mercenary is.

"So, young man. Introductions first! My name is Shadow." The young man stood up again and gave Arthur his hand.

In greeting him, Arthur also said his nickname: "God of Fight! It's a Pleasure!"

After holding hands, Shadow soon continued to speak: "Since we introduced ourselves, now the next step. The one next to me is called Janice. You already know her, after all, you almost made her fall and leave a trauma on her last week." Although his voice was charismatic, the climate around Arthur dropped a little. It was a brief and direct warning.

"Sorry, it wasn't the intention. I was very tired, the only thing that held me back was my Will. I didn't even think I could, so I'm sorry if I couldn't measure my strength." Arthur stood up and said apologetically to Janice. He didn't know her, so there was no reason to be aggressive with her. Arthur was a just person who treated others as they treated him.

"There are no problems. I don't hold a grudge." With a smile on her face, Janice waved to Arthur that there was no problem. She was not really to hold a grudge, but a certain person ... certainly was.

"So, for the next person. She's called Magikeen. A new member of the group. Level B mercenary, great fighter too. I'd say she's pretty quiet, so just ignore it." Shadow spoke as he pointed at the figure in the window.

Shadow's speech hooked Arthur in two points.

First: Did he think a level C mercenary worthy of the title of 'great fighter', on an equal foot with a level B?

Second: What the hell was this group?

As if he knew what Arthur was thinking, Shadow soon continued: "And that is why I wanted to talk to you. I would not like to feed your ego, but you are someone worthy of the Fighter class among the mercenaries. And, because of that, I would like to call you to our Mercenary Group! "Making gestures of struggle as he spoke, Shadow soon reached the main point of the conversation.

Arthur, who was not surprised by the proposal, asked his first question:

"I would like to know what is this group?"
