Take What You Deserve

As soon as the lit lighter touched the liquid, the flames began to spread.

The first to be hit was obviously Carlos. His body went up in flames and he couldn't do anything to protect himself. His mind was already broken and all he felt was pain.

"Arthur" had already left without warning the surveillance cameras and was watching the fire happen over a nearby building.

The fire spread and hit the gas canisters. The moment the fire entered the gallons, four explosions occurred, burning the entire place.

Boom! Boom!! Boom!!! Booom!!!!

Smoke came from all locations and the windows were destroyed by the explosions. Everything inside the store was turning to ashes and scraps.

The walls started to turn black and crack slightly. The ceiling fell in pieces here and there. The entire structure of the store was being destroyed.

On "Arthur's" face, his black irises gave off a feeling of darkness, with only a few shades of green lighting dimly. A sadistic smile formed as he watched that scene.

It was only a few minutes before "Arthur" jumped out of the building and called the fire department. As a mercenary, he had an obligation to help in such cases. He had already done everything he could, just being a level C ...

After that, he went into the burning store and took the gallons, hiding them in the inventory.

His clothes went up in flames and started to stick to his body, but he completely ignored the pain.

He started walking towards a charred body. The body was completely black and broken.

As soon as he got close to the body, he picked it up and went out through the broken windows. Placing the body on the floor, "Arthur" stood still, feeling the pleasure of revenge.

While enjoying the pleasure, some notifications appeared in front of him.

˂Congratulations!! Mission Completed Successfully! ˃

...

...

˂Get Your Inventory Rewards! ˃

...

"Arthur" looked at these notifications with disinterest.

"Hunpf!"

After looking around, "Arthur" noticed some lights and sirens approaching. It was the firefighters.

"Problems ..." A thick voice came out of "Arthur's" mouth.

His affairs here were already settled, so he prepared to leave.

Bending his knees, he prepared to jump.

The moment his body was going to leave the ground, all the strength was gone in an instant.

Arthur's eyes started to shake, as all traces of darkness faded, leaving only the emerald green, and his pupils began to dilate.

He fell to his knees on the floor, while his body was shaking and his breathing was getting weak. His vision was blurred. His chest looked like it was going to explode at any moment.

'What is-'

That was Arthur's last thought before he passed out completely.

Back at Carlos' mansion, Sinner was attentively on guard, sometimes looking at the children and sometimes at the door. After Arthur left, he has been like that ever since.

Only a few minutes passed before an Audi Q3 Back stopped at the door. He was accompanied by the police and ambulances.

Shadow got out of the car, accompanied by Janice and Magikeen. Magikeen was still working out some issues at the Arena, so Shadow asked her to come along.

Shadow was the first to enter the house, with several policemen behind him.

"Where is he?" In a slightly serious voice, Shadow showed urgency. His question was directed at Sinner.

"The boss said that you would know where he is in a few moments. He also said that you should take care of the children." Sinner obediently repeated Arthur's commands.

As soon as they entered the house, they saw, on the sofa, seven children sleeping peacefully. They were all covered in baggy clothes and lying comfortably, as if someone had put them to sleep.

"My God!" Janice called out from behind as soon as she saw the children.

She ran over to them and immediately started checking to see if they had any injuries or anything. But, all she managed to find were marks of dirt and only.

"Didn't he say that these children were kidnapped and were being abused? I can't find anything! No scratch, not a bruise, just dirt!" Janice spoke to Shadow, who was watching everything silently.

"I don't know what it could have been. Police officers, investigate the area and find clues. You two, help me carry the children. You too, big guy. "Shadow, as if he hadn't even heard Janice's doubts, started giving orders to the cops.

He, along with Sinner and two other policemen, began to take the children to the ambulances. He gave a few more orders to the police chief who was with him and also to the nurses in the ambulances.

After returning to the mansion, he called Janice and Magikeen to get back to the car. He also brought Sinner with him.

Sinner was still doing one of the things Arthur said to him: Obey Shadow's every word.

"Do you think it was all set up?" Janice, as soon as she got in the car, took the doubt out of her heart.

Shadow, who was about to start the car, stopped to think. He soon said:

"I hope you take my word for it when I say it wasn't him. I don't know who he is, and I have my reasons for distrusting his character and personality. But I still believe there is something going on. It is impossible for him to have set this up so that they do not think it was him. It is very stupid. We will wait for the investigations to come out and after that we can do something about it. "Shadow's words were as sincere as possible.

Suddenly, from the back seat, two voices sounded at the same time.

"It was not him."

"It was not him!"

Shadow turned his head and told Sinner, who had spoken with more conviction.

"I know you trust him, but your word is not worth much. That will be resolved later."

He then turned to Magikeen, who had also spoken, and said: "I need to trust you when we are talking to him. This will represent whether he will be in our Group or not. "

Shadow then started the car and sped towards the hotel where Arthur was supposed to stay. With Magikeen's speech, he was almost certain that they knew each other.

But, before they could get very far, smoke began to float towards the sky, indicating a fire somewhere.

Everyone just had a thought about it.

'It's him!'
