Once inside he opened his comm paid twenty thousand credit as fee and entered the virtual class. As he looked around his seat he found that a lot of students were already here before him. The teacher still hasn't arrived yet.
As he looked around at the students, he could tell with a hundred percent guarantee that he was going to be facing all of them in the upcoming competition. Some were tall, while some were short, however, they weren't talking with each other. There were mix-ups between both highschool and university graduates in this class.
Today's subject happened to be weapons optimization. Which was important when it came to combat suits. Eden had never researched a weapon, instead, he spent most of the time in the suit itself. Almost everyone did. There was only some handful number of people that focused on weapon design. After all, it was easy to license the stuff rather than build one from the scratch.
But now that he has taken part in the competition, a licensed weapon was no go. Powerful weapons license cost hundreds of millions, at the same time the increase in power from the weapon was only some percentage. However, in the competition, even a small percentage could make a huge difference. "After this class, I should think about buying some skills," Eden whispered to himself.
The teacher finally entered the class and without any greetings started to teach about the weapon. No-one cared about getting to know each other anyway. They only cared about weapon optimization and proficiency.
The class lasted for two hours. It was money well spent in Eden's thought. After he left the class, he took the materializer out of the inventory and stored all the raw materials in its storage module. For the production design, he chose the hooded suit. After thinking for a while he thought about naming this design as A.C Mark- I. He left the room after setting the production quantity at twenty-five units.
Everyone was getting clothed, except Eden. He had slapped one the folded Mark- I wristband in his arm. As all of them left the house and entered the booked ferry no-one could help but notice Eden was still in his normal clothes.
After some time the ferry finally stopped outside the shuttle port. Everyone got out of the ferry one by one. The last to get off the ferry was Eden. However, he was no longer wearing the clothes he left the house in.
He was covered by the grey colored suit and was quite striking in others' eyes. Though that was the main reason Eden why he made the suit in the first place. To make an impression.
Finally, they all got out of it and walked towards the shuttle bay. His father and mother both were pissed a bit. They were here for Ed, not to be impressed with someone else. Even if that someone happened to be their son.
"Mr. Warson, I am the representative send by Dome military to grab your son." A military personal arrived and shook hands with Eden's father.
"Yes, Ed here is the one that had been enlisted." He replied as Ed walked towards the representative.
"Hmm... and that guy wearing mechanical suits? Is he not enlisted?"
All of them turned around and looked at Eden surprised. Strange thought ran in their heads. "That's a mechanical suit!"
Eden himself was surprised. When he made the suit, he made sure to make it seem like a casual suit. But the military representative at once figured out it was a mechanical suit.
"No, he isn't enlisted." His father spoke in a hoarse voice. Michael Warson was one of the high ranking military personnel back in his time. But right now he was pissed to know Eden had been wearing a mechanical suit the entire time but himself being his father didn't know about it.
"Oh!" The representative walked towards Eden and questioned him at the same time. "Kid if you don't mind me asking, where did you buy this suit?"
"I have a question of my own if you don't mind me asking, how did you know?"
"It's because of the suit line on the side, that gave me the impression that it was a mechanical suit. And seems like I was right. So about my question?"
"I made it."
This time it was the other person that was surprised, "You made this suit? What about this alloy?"
"This suit, alloy, design everything is made by me. I haven't licensed it yet but I would probably license it under my name today."
"What kind of alloy is this?"
Eden smiled as he grabbed the end of the cloak and showed it to the representative.
"Take a shot."
Even the person was surprised, but he still took his gun out of the holder and aimed at the cloth. "Don't mind if I do."
Bang...
"Whoa..." The kids were surprised that the person actually took the shot.
"Now that's surprising. And you just said you made this alloy as well right! Hahaha... Good work kid. I am impressed."
Eden was smiling as well, he had an idea of how much heat damage the suit can take hence he wasn't afraid of laser or plasma rifle, but weapons like mechanical or assault rifles were different. The simulation results were ok for a virtual environment and games, but not in real life. Just now when the person took the shot Eden finally got a perfect idea on the capability of the alloy to take on impacts. There wasn't a single scratch on the cloth.
The reply touched the place where he just shot and was surprised to find the place was still soft. "What if I want this alloy to be hard the whole time, is this hard only on impact or..."
"No, you can do that as well. For this suit, it changes it's mode when I wear its hood."
Everyone else was looking at the two of them strangely, they didn't know if they should speak in the middle or not. There was some other military personnel as well. After they sent off hundreds of other kids to the shuttle they walked towards Watson's. They too were looking at this suit with quite an interest.
"Well go on, wear the hood." The representative was exited.
Eden grabbed his hood from behind and covered his head. At the same time, the mask appeared and covered his face. The green line glowed representing different modes.
Hiss...
"Why is this suit suddenly giving off a strange vibe?"
