Chapter 80 : Plan

"I'm suing you!" Axion yelled. "I'm suing you all. You are being rude. You threaten our life. You abuse your position to bully us! Shame on you. Shame on your family. Shame on your cow...."

"Gee, girl. Take it easy," said Ramenman.

"Fine. Let's say Sveratis law doesn't apply here. But intergalactic law doesn't exactly apply here either. What makes you think we can't just shoot you here and hide your bodies?"

"People will look for us. You can't hide forever. Once they know Sveratis nobles in charge of the border are the one who kills us, the Sveratis Kingdom will lose face on the intergalactic alliance. They will lose support and eventually be left out of the intergalactic alliance," said Axion menacingly.

"HA! You're bluffing!" said a man with a rifle. "They're probably a spy sent by General Versatel," he adds as he raises his gun.

The words he said gives an idea to Axion. She glances at Kaizo. They both have the same thought. These Sveratis people are on bad terms with General Versatel. Chances are, they're on the prince's side. The problem now is to decide whether or not they should tell the truth about the ring.

"I'm a police chief's daughter, remember? My dad won't stay silent on this case," said Axion.

The leader smiled. "I don't think so. You really think you can just sue me?"

"Well of course I can," said Axion. "You can't escape the law. Who do you think you are? It's not like you're a king of something."

"I am the 1st son of the Aureate family. My name is Flavius. My family owns the richest trade business in the Kingdom and my father is the chancellor of the Exchequer in Sveratis kingdom. As for me, I am now aiding the prince leading financial management of this camp," he explains.

"The chancellor of the Exchequer? What does that mean?" Ramenman asked.

"It means his dad is in charge of the Kingdom's financial affairs," said Axion.

"Precisely!" Flavius exclaimed. He looks closer at Axion. "I may not be a king. But as a son of the chancellor, I have lots of support."

"Why would an accountant work on the battlefield and not knights?" Axion asked.

"That is none of your concern," he said.

He stands up and lets out a long sigh. "I will look into this matter next time. What about their belongings? Have you checked them yet?"

"Yes, sir. Sir Virion should be checking them by now," said one of the men.

"I see." He looks at Kaizo and his team. "If you're not going to talk, then let's see if your belongings can tell us more."

The three Sveratian men leave the shack. Axion and her friends sigh in relief.

"So, what now?" Rum asks.

"We need to escape from here," said Kaizo.

"Don't you think it would be better if we join forces with Flavius?" Rum asks. "He said he's aiding the prince. He could help us."

"We're not sure if he's not one of the nobles who want to backstab the Prince," Axion replied. "Let's go back to the ship and reassess our move. I don't like making plans in the enemy's territory. If we want to cooperate with Flavius, I would prefer to discuss it as a free people and not as a prisoner."

"She's right. If we ever want to cooperate with Flavius, we need to present ourselves as someone who stands on the same level as him," said Kaizo.

"What about our belongings?" said Rum.

"We should take them back," said Ramenman.

"What did you bring with you?" Axion asked.

"I brought my baton," said Ramenman.

"They got my sword," said Kaizo.

"They probably took our tablets," said Rum. "Our computer tablet is encrypted. I don't think they can hack it. So they probably won't be able to get much information."

"Anything else?" Axion asked.

"They got our bags but there aren't many things in our bags," said Rum.

"Oh, no!" Ramenman suddenly exclaimed. His face turned dark.

"What?" Axion asked.

They look at him, expecting something big.

"My CupNoodles supply is in my bag!" said Ramenman in a dramatic tone.

They look at him with an unimpressed look.

"Seriously?" said Rum.

Kaizo let out a sigh. "You idiot...." he mumbled. He looked at Axion. "Did they take anything from you?"

She shook her head "Nope."

Axion pulls out her hands. She's been untying her hands this whole time.

"Sweet! You're free!" Ramenman exclaimed.

Axion opens a magic circle in the air and pulls a knife from it. She begins to cut the rope and free the others.

"When they caught us, I put all my belongings in dimensional storage made with magic. So I didn't lose anything to those Sveratis soldiers," said Axion.

"Ahh... so that's why I hardly see you with many bags during our mission," said Ramenman. "Well, that's convenient."

Axion pulls her computer tab and hands it to Kaizo.

"The longer we stay here, the higher the risk. I would prefer to go back to our ship this instant. But if you think we need to get our stuff back, we can contact Lahap. Ask him to give us a quick layout of this camp," said Axion.

"Sounds like a plan," Kaizo replied. "Our tablet computers might be encrypted but we can't risk having it in Sveratis hand. We get our stuff, then we bail."
