Nova starred in anticipation.
「Raiment…?! He's going to use it!」[Nova]
Mune closed his eyes for a moment before they opened wide.
『Crimson Moon Regalia!』[Mune]
A red light glowed around Mune's body before it was replaced by a black and red outfit with black flames that floated next to his arms.
It seemed to emulate an ominous energy.
The armor had padding on his arms, legs, and chest area, but there was one particular detail about his armor.
There was a giant pale red moon that seemed to float behind him.
Nova stared in awe at Mune before Mune spoke to him, snapping him out of his daze.
『...Nova.』[Mune]
『Huh?! Yes?』[Nova]
『I'm going to have to leave my back to you. Let's kill the rank 7 brownling.』[Mune]
Nova was curious, but he'd ask about it later.
A sudden explosion occurred at the place where Nova teleported the brownling away.
『I'm guessing that the screaming noise is disrupting your Area, right?』[Mune]
Nova nodded.
It seemed like he couldn't keep up a stable Area at all, as if the brownling started screaming in order to make sure they couldn't get away.
『I should be able to heal you, fine. Sir Fluffles, how do you think you fare against the brownling?』[Nova]
The blue flames continued to regenerate Mune's body at a visible rate as Nova spoke.
『...I won't let it hit me!』[Sir Fluffles]
Mune nodded and pulled out his katana.
『I'm going to have to use my specialized way of fighting. It is only used to fight in one versus one situations, though. If any brownlings show up, I need to rely on you, Nova.』[Mune]
Nova was about to say something, but there was a loud noise in front of him.
『He's back. Assume any non-instant cast spells you have are not viable as long as the head in its chest is still screaming.』[Mune]
『Right.』[Nova]
Mune disappeared in the blink of an eye.
『...?! Mune?!』[Nova]
Sir Fluffles already knew what had happened.
『Nova! They're already fighting! Go to meet up with him!』[Sir Fluffles]
Nova began to start running through the forest when he was met with an unbelievable sight.
Mune was matching the brownling blow for blow.
He chopped the throat of the brownling, causing it to suddenly grasp at its throat before Mune grabbed one of its arms and kicked it in the face.
He continued to do this, occasionally throwing in a swing from his katana, but the damage on the brownling didn't seem lethal.
It was littered with decently sized cuts and bruises with a tiny black slash mark on each of them, but Mune was still having trouble getting an effective hit on it.
『Any assistance you… try is welcome!』[Mune]
The black flames that floated by his side suddenly went flying toward the brownling in the shape of a lance.
At this point, he took hold of the katana and began to swing at the brownling, red petals flying everywhere.
Nova didn't miss this chance.
『Bind!』[Nova]
Blue chains came out of the ground and held the brownling in place.
『Good!』[Mune]
He lowered himself to the ground before performing a diagonal cut that cut off the brownling's left arm before showering it with countless petals that left even more black marks all over it.
『Okay! Let's end thi-』[Mune]
The moment he said that, the brownling screamed loud enough to push all of them back about a dozen feet.
Nova's ears were ringing, but he saw that Mune had turned to him to shout something.
In an instant, Nova's world was shaken.
His vision distorted for a moment before he found himself coughing up blood.
『...Huh? What is… Mune doing over there?』[Nova]
Nova's vision blurred intermittently, but he could faintly make out the outline of Mune and the brownling.

Mune seemed to have been fighting two brownlings instead of just one… so..
「...The new one got me from behind, huh..?」[Nova]

The mana that it gave him was enough to keep the blood loss from killing him.

He looked down at his fingertips and his lips parted way a little bit.
Sitting there, licking his fingers was Sir Fluffles.

Sir Fluffles put his front paws on Nova's lap and nudged him with his head.

His mind suddenly flash through a whole myriad of people.
「...Rai. Dad. Uncle Lam.. Old man Bana.. Mrs. Frey... Leo, Andrew. Jack.. Anastasia.」[Nova]
He threw his head back up a little.
「Oswald.. Sarena. Hanzo. Derenne… Reagan.」
「...Thomas, Marn… Katherin, Jade...」[Nova]
He felt a strange sinking feeling in his chest.
