Starting a Fight

It was Saturday and as usual, Lucas was out early for work. He actually ditched his company yesterday for some unknown reasons and now he is suffering because of it. He had to use his day-off to make up for his absence.

Lucas didn't forget to cook her breakfast and she thinks he was making it his routine.

'I mean I don't mind making him my personal cook every morning since all his meals are high end and exquisite. They're just so delicious and downright yummy and I'm so lucky that Lucas at least knows how to cook and feeds me.'

She ate, washed the dishes, and soon she was ready to go. She was going to take her car on a ride and for preparatory purposes. Meaning she's going out for a joy ride.

It was still 8:00 and she got much time before the race would start. Staying at home would be too boring since all she does is watching movies and videos all day long. She needs to get herself pumped up and ready for the race.

"Ok baby, I'm going to take you out for a run" she opened the driver's seat and plopped herself down with a grin noticeable on her lips.

She brought out the keys and started the engine, revving it up. She opened the gates and drove her way outside to the world.

She was picking up speed and soon she was past the speeding limit. She drove to the city outskirts where she could drive freely without any law enforcement officers chasing her down.

The cafe which she and Benny frequent when there's a race came into view and she parked the car near it. She went in and occupied the seat near the window.

She picked her phone out which was encased in a ziplock so the tiny glass shards wouldn't accidentally prick her finger and bleed the life out of her and texted Benny to meet her up.

'Benny I'm in the usual location already'

She waited for a few minutes and her phone dinged.

'Aren't you too excited? The freaking sun's still up and I texted you that we would meet up at 4 pm. You know what p.m means?'

'Ooh, what a miracle you're awake, quickly meet me up here. I'll be waiting in the cafe.'

'Fuck you, B. I'm an early riser. Now let me get some sleep and leave me alone for the next four hours.'

She guessed Benny was up all night, clubbing in his gay clubs and hooking with some unknown stranger outside.

'Then what should I do here? It's too boring without you.'

'Says the one who was a no-show and MIA'd for a month. If it's too boring for you, you could breakdance there or sing My Heart Will Go On without mic for the next four hours or so'

'I thought we're already over that and if you really won't show. I won't tell you why I became a hermit for a month'

Beatrice waited for minutes before Benny texted back. She grinned knowing he loves gossips and he was curious why she suddenly disappeared for an entire month.

'Fine!! Wait there for a moment'

Beatrice ordered a frappe and looked out the window. She sipped on the straw and was halfway done with her cup of frappe when someone tapped her on the shoulder.

"Miss, are you alone?" The guy that tapped her on the shoulder looked like a decent guy with a polo shirt and jeans except for the giggling crowd behind them.

She guessed they were his buddies and he got dared to hit on her. There were about four people, two guys and two girls on the next table that were whispering and giggling with each other.

"Yes, I'm alone….but I'm waiting for someone, "

The incoherent whispers got louder and one guy whistled on us.

"If you're alone, you could hang out with us," the guy smiled and Beatrice shook her head.

"Thank you but no. I don't hang out with strangers,"

She continued to sip on her drink and looked outside the window, ignoring him.

"We could always get to know each other if you hang out with us."

'How stubborn can this guy be?' She shot him an annoyed look that signifies 'get the hell away from me'

"I'm meeting someone" she simply said, not wanting her mouth to go off and utter unnecessary words that would spike out a fight.

"Look, my friends dared me to hit on you and that I should get you to hang out with us. So I need you to cooperate" he whispered bending his head forward at her.

'Can you believe how persistent this guy can be?' She scoffed at him.

"How is that my responsibility? You walk up at me then demand me to cooperate with you? Are you nuts?!" The rise in her tone was apparent. She was not looking for a fight (ok maybe a little since she basically adores fights) but they irked her so badly.

"Hey! I was talking to you nicely-"

She cut him off, "And I was turning you down nicely but you kept on coming to me! Don't you know how stubborn and irritating you are!"

The guy's expression turned sour and was looking at her with contempt. "You bitch! You should be thankful someone's hitting and taking an interest in you."

"Why would I be thankful Fucker?! Do you think all girls fawn over someone who takes interest in them?!-" she looked at his side to the other side of the table where his buddies sat.

"-Are you guys having a loose screw in the head and mental issues to actually dare him to force me to hang out with all of you? You shitheads"

One of the guys stood up, "What did you say to us, Bitch?" The others giggled and chuckled as if it was such a spectacle seeing a fight.

"Oh wow, I'm really scared. You meathead shit!"

The other guy on the table slammed his knuckles on the table. 'Ouch, that must hurt!' His face showed absolute wrath and Beatrice scoffed at him fueling the flames.

"Ma'am, Sir you shouldn't fight here, " one of the workers in the cafe came up to us.

"This little bitch started this, " the guy who came upon her complained.

"What are you a kid? Tattling on me like that," she snickered and the guy's face turned red.

"Why you lowly bitch?!" He took long strides and went to her as if he was ready to smash her.

"You going to hit me?! C'mon on you wussy!" She taunted him and flashed a sneer.

"What's going on here?" A deep familiar voice boomed from over the guy's shoulder.
