First Time in the Celestial Plane

Set then went on to summon the Dragon Emperor ring and the Crimson Curse. A blood-red crystal face mask appeared out of thin air on his face, turning his eyes and hair into red blood, making him appear vicious. While at the same time, a black dragon ring appeared on his left-hand middle finger. After he summoned his celestial spirit a shine appeared in his eyes. The Set right now had a completely different look to his normal outgoing self. When he looked at himself in the mirror he was intimidated. Looking at his red hair and eyes, and his blood-red face mask covering half of his face, he was giving a mature vibe and a hint of blood lust. He looked like a totally different person.

Set was sad and overjoyed. He had his celestial spirit finally awaken. Now he was allowed to go into the celestial plane. Although that was good it still had its drawbacks. If the celestial beasts attacked Sentinal city, then Set was obligated to help out with wiping them out. The government also had a law. It stated that if a person wants to go to the celestial plane then they were obligated to wait till their celestial spirits awaken. The reason behind that was the difference in power between those who did not awaken and those who did. Those who haven't awakened their celestial spirit were weaker by several folds than those who had. And the celestial beasts of the celestial planes were insanely strong.

Even the celestial beast at the lowest level can easily kill a person who has just awakened, not to mention the ones who have not even awakened. The celestial plane was a completely different world, full of all kinds of monsters, and on the basis of their power level, they are divided into five which are Demon, Saint, World, Sky, and finally Emperor. These classifications are also used to classify the level of your celestial spirit.

Even though Demons are the weakest rank, they have a higher physical status than normal animals. And moving up from there, the Saints and all the higher ranks would have special skills and abilities. Some beasts even had core treasures which were beast cores that had transformed into weaponry or armor.

Even though the people of earth had harnessed the power of the beast cores to make full-fledged weapons of power, there was one class of weapons they could never hope to beat that were heavenly treasures. Celestial treasures were treasures formed from highly condensed natural energy, creating unrivaled weapons, armors, shields... basically anything that has godly powers. But, sadly, the celestial treasures were rare ... EXTREMELY rare. But that did not stop the major powers from having them.

Set looking in the mirror had a scheming glint in his eyes. Suddenly his red hair turned back to its natural azure color and so did his eyes. But the changes did not stop there, the Crimson Curse suddenly changed its form, turning from a crystal read face mask that covered half his face, into a dark blue plate mask that covered his entire face. Although he had lost his vicious and intimidating temperament, he had now gained a mysterious one.

"Now I can be my normal self using this form, and do all my evil deeds in my Crimson for..."

With a smile of pure delight, Set got dressed in casual clothes and went down to eat breakfast with his family. After all, this was a Saturday.

As he sat down and started eating, he noticed that every single person in the room was staring at him. "Am I really that handsome?" asked Set. Of course, he already knew the answer to that, and that was yes! But everyone ignored his stupid question and kept staring at him. "You know, you could have just asked instead of stareing...".

Then Set summoned his Celestial Gear. At that time, his face was covered with a dark azure plate mask. Of course, he wasn't going to show them his true celestial spirit. Not that he didn't want it, it was just that if word got out of his ridiculously cheat abilities, there was only one fate for him and his family, and that was DEATH. It would have been all right if he had come from an influential family, but he wasn't.

As his family saw his Celestial Gear, they were relieved and happy because when Set first came down to eat his breakfast, he started eating without a word. Of course, their mind went to the worst-case scenario, they thought that he failed to summon his celestial spirit making him ... a cripple. Being the punch line for every joke in the city. Even though it is rare to fail in the awakening of the celestial spirit, it still has happened. But of course, Set made a dumb, sad, smug joke making their tense nerves cooldown.

Atsushi quickly asked Set, "Brother would you like to join the Heavenly Saint Guild?"

Set hearing his brother declined.

"You know, it will be good for you. You get a weekly pay of 20 beast cores, and that's more than most guilds pay for new members." Even though Atsushi said his strangely rehearsed line, he knew it wasn't going to be enough to rill in Set. So he went on to say, "I could even arrange for you an entire suite of Demon-grade armor suit." as he looked at the Set with hopeful eyes. "I'm sorry, brother, but I decline." Knowing that Set wasn't going to be moved Atsushi gave up.

But the silence was hastily interrupted by his father as he said, "Set, you're going to the celestial plane for the first time today,".

"Yeah, that's right".

"Son, I want you to be careful, and also make a good first impression on people, okay," said his father, looking worried. "Don't worry dad. I'll be all right." After finishing his breakfast, Set went to the teleporter to register as an awakened.

The teleported was a huge device used to teleport people to the celestial plane. Before entering the teleporter for the first time, a person had to register as an awakened person. And that's exactly what Set did. But it wouldn't be that easy, of course. In front of the teleporter was a HUGE line that stretched far... and I mean FAR. After about half a day of waiting, it was finally Set's turn.

There was a lady at the registration counter just on the side of the teleporter. "Come on kid, show me your Celestial Gear, and scram there are other people besides you". Although Set was obviously irritated by the woman's poor attitude he sympathized with her as her job was a long and tiresome one. And so he hastily summoned his plate mask and after registering as an awakened, he could now go through the teleporter. As he walked through the teleporter, a bright white light flashed, blinding him. He felt a foreign sensation invade his body. If he had to describe it, he'd say it's like being swallowed by a gigantic python, moving through its abdomen. After the light dimmed and the sensation faded, he heard an announcement play in his head.

Hearing the announcement Set was startled! But he knew all too well what that was. That was the Entity! A being that was in charge of the Celestial Plane. Rewarding those who deserved it and maintaining order. Although calling it a being was a stretch as it had no life... calling it a God-like Artificial Intelligence was much more accurate. After a few seconds of contemplation, Set finally calmed down and observed his surroundings. But he was amazed by what he saw! He was in the middle of a city.
