Scary Owl!

Even before the man could retaliate his head was sent flying through the air like a bird. Although Set suspected that the man was just as strong as his mount, but that didn't seem to be the case. Set went on to kill the rest of the bandits as accomplices, as they had let the man chop his head off. He had gained sixteen blood points from this, but that wasn't the end of it. The great wolf growled at Set, but you could feel a hint of terror in its growl. It was as though the wolf had instinctively sensed the hidden power of that Set had not exposed.

Set looked at the wolf, and brought out the Raven King's brass knuckle, just to invoke terror, and that's what happened. The wolf, feeling the blood lust of the brass knuckle trembled, nearly pissing himself. Set came close to the wolf and pinched his thumb with his teeth and drew an inscription on the wolf's forehead, with the blood that low-key gushed from his thumb. The inscription Set drew was a taming inscription. Although the wolf already had an inscription as its owner had died, it was now free to be tamed.

The taming process was two ways. Meaning, if the beast didn't want to be tamed, that you could kiss your dream of mounting on a great wolf a dream.

But because of the fear the brass knuckle had caused, when the wolf felt the taming inscription, finding a way out of death, the taming inscription was readily accepted. The inscription pattern glowed with bright light and vanished into the fur of the wolf. But that wasn't the end either.

From the looks of things, the bandits were carrying a lot of items, as they had thrown away their wristwatches, to avoid being targeted. Set sold all of them to the system, raising his gain to a hundred and forty blood points. Bringing his overall blood point to two hundred and sixty.

Mounting on his new pet, Set continued his path towards the Death Vally. While it was a treacherous journey, and he had encountered many challenges, the journey had eventually come to an end. Yes, it was night time. The day had passed quickly, riding on his new pet.

When nightfall arrived, Set decided to stop and take a night's sleep. While he was regretting not buying a tent back on his homeworld. But as long as he had blood points, he could buy it from the system shop, which he regretfully did.

Although, the spot that Set decided to sleep at was out in the open. There were just measly Demon beasts in the area he was in, and with his new Saint-class pet acting as a repellant, there was no problem. Set slept like a little baby. After waking up, he stretched for a few minutes, after which he brought put his cooking utensils. He looked around to find some firewood, and after collecting a few good ones, he went back to start a fire. And for a person who has two fire-type innate abilities that were as easy as letting out a fart.

Set placed the cooking pan on the fire and added some cooking oil to it. He went away to wash up while waiting for the oil to heat up. And when he returned, the oil was ready. So he took some eggs out of the inventory to make some scrambled eggs. As he was eating his meal, his new pet was given him his puppy-dog eyes.

Although he had made the eggs for himself, he was forced to give them to his puppy-eyed dog companion. And he had to make himself some more again. After finishing up, he packed his tent and mounted on his ride, and so began his journey.

Just like that, a week had passed before anything significant had happened.

Set was riding on his mount when out of nowhere he began to feel a sense of distress well up from his stomach. The landscape was the grassland with the trees that could scarcely be seen. Set tried to suppress the sensation in his stomach, but it only grew stronger with time. He paused and looked around to see if there was a beast approaching, but all he could see was tall grass and some occasional trees. Set ordered his mount to run as fast as he could, which was a nice change for his pet as he had been walking for the whole week.

Set's had to praise his mount because his pace was no joke, even he'd have a hard time keeping up with it... That was when he was normal, and he didn't have ten plus innate abilities. of course, it wasn't as fast as the King raven but it was still great for land transport. But no matter how far or fast the wolf has gone, the feeling never left Set's stomach. It just grew stronger and stronger, until eventually, Set started sweating cold sweat. As he turned to look for any approaching celestial beasts, he saw something.

In the far distance was an owl? You're probably thinking 'an owl, what's so scary about an owl?' Well, most people don't know this, but Set had a conscious fear of owls! And also it was also a World-class creature.

Although it was really far away, Set pulled out a pair of binoculars looking in the direction of the owl. And sadly it was an owl. It was covered in pitch-black feathers that could even out darken the darkness. And had cloud white eyes, as it to make a contrast.

Set feeling the real power of a world-class beast was afraid, even though he had his Ravin King brass knuckle, comparing it to the owl was like comparing a chile to a man. As the King Raven was a child when Set killed him and didn't have time to mature and solidify its power while growing stronger.

Set ordered his mount to go as fast as it could, but it was obviously at its limits. So Set summoned King Raven and jumped on top of it while equipping the safety harness. He apologized to the wolf and asked King Raven to leave. But hearing the sad whimper of a dog that had been ditched by its owner, Set, ordered King Raven to pick up the sad puppy and fly at its fastest speed.

And luckily, King Raven was fast enough to put some gap between the two of them, while Set was sure that the starting distance between the two had played a significant role. After six hours of flying, Set finally got rid of the feeling. He blew a sigh of relief and looked around to see if he could find a decent beast to hunt. As he was aware, his brass knuckle was too low to go up against a high-level World-class beast.

As he was looking around, he fought Sight of a deer. The deer looked about a meter tall and was grazing on the tall grass found below. Although the area was a grassland there were many hills and trenches. Set flew down wanting to kill it, but the deer wasn't ready to die yet, as it started to run as soon as it saw Set.
