Poor Hifumi! Always Getting Screwed Over!

*Sentinal City*

Set's father was watching TV in the living room when a news report was shown.

"As seen here, the masked man was injured, you could see that his arm was broken to pieces, and he kept blasting the muscle man with his flame ability, but that wasn't enough, possibly because of the power gap between the two was too much." Set's father seeing the man wearing a crimson red mask, couldn't help but think of his son. But when he saw the man on the TV screen, he sighed to himself and said, "With so much difference, how could he possibly be my son?"

Luckily, Set had the foresight to alter some of the key details of the Crimson Curse when he showed his celestial equipment to his family. He also suppressed changes to his hair and eyes.

And if that wasn't enough, the guy on the screen was using red flames. While Set's innate ability was the Cursed flames that were blue in color.

Thanks to that, if Set summoned his mask in front of others, they would look at him once before turning away. Not making the connection with the masked man on the tv screen.

. . .

Set wasn't a bad guy. He wasn't running around causing trouble... *Author: winks* He wasn't a softy who would leave someone who tried to end his life and failed, alive only because he was begged. If you don't pluck the trouble out of its root when you had a chance, it might cause unexpected danger later.

And in this culture, where power meant everything, it was either kill or be killed. These bandits, for example. They thought they had the advantage because of their numbers, but they couldn't even say their last words against an expert like Set, as they had already lost their heads to his blade.

But in a way, he was like them. Except that he would succeed if he had set his sights on a target... Unlike some other people *Mic drop!*

. . .

Set seeing the deer run was quite impressed. Its speed was fast and its agility was off the charts. He had attempted to capture it many times, but the deer had always changed course at the last possible second. Although King Raven was fast, it wasn't as agile as the deer because of its size.

Set, of course, could have captured the deer a long time ago. But he was curious since the low-level Saint beast was certainly going to a particular location. Set noticed it as he had attempted to capture it many times, while the deer turned and twisted as not to be caught by the man and his pigeon. It has always corrected its course afterward.

Set wore his Space Cloak and quickly sent King Raven back to the inventory. Jumping on to his other pet, wolfy, and surprisingly, the influence of the Space Cloak spread to the wolf, rendering him and his master invisible. The deer, seeing his pursuer vanish, slowed down and looked around with caution. Seeing no change in the surroundings, the deer relaxed and started grazing.

Set waited for something to happen, but as time went by, the deer just kept grazing. Before he knew it was night time, and finally, the deer started moving. It walked for more than an hour before reaching a little pond. After drinking its fill, it began to graze again. But before it could go on, it heard its mother's call and began to quickly move towards the call. It traveled deeper into the hills until reaching a thick forest. The trees were basically giants ranging from eighty to a hundred meters. The stems themselves had a diameter of about three meters or so, easily hiding any danger.

Set followed the little deer forward, but as they walked, the more noise they heard. There was certainly a fight going on in the vicinity. Until a loud, unnerving groan was finally heard. It was the groan of a dying animal. The deer heard it and franticly quickened its pace.

After a while, Set began to see signs of battle. The soil on the field was left in distress. Now and then you could see the arrows stuck to the bark of the trees, and light scratches on the barks. It was obviously caused by a celestial beast. The deer ran as fast as it could, finally reaching a grizzly sight.

Two men and three women surrounded the deer, armed with armor and bloodied weapons. The deer was in the poorest of states. One of its horns was cut clean off, severely wounded all over its body. The major injury, however, was the one inflected on its abdomen. It was cleaved in, its organs were skewered all over the ground, and it was bleeding massive amounts of blood.

Set seeing the beast was profoundly sad, as its eyes were that of pure fear and sorrow. Although most celestial beasts would kill a human every chance they get, they too had would. They too were scared of death. The leader of the group was one of the men with a brown poop looking armor. He took out his sword and hacked at the head of the deer, killing the suffering beast. With a smile on his face, he dug out the beast's core. He also uprooted the horn with a lot of difficulties, too, and also took the other hor that they had managed to cut off.

When the man turned to his hunting party, Set took a close look at his face and grinned ironically. "What are the odds?" Yup, you've guessed it. The guy in the brown armor was Hifum... sorry, I meant to say Demon Turd. The little deer witnessing his mother's death was furious. Although he knew she didn't have a chance, he was still running towards Hifumi with murder in his eyes. But, luckily, Set was there, and he easily carried out a powerful strike on the back of his head. And because of his rage and Set's invisibility, the little deer was knocked out cold before being discovered by the hunting party.

Set placed the deer on the back of his pet and told him to leave the area while quietly approaching the hunting party. Set approached the hunting party, under his Space Cloak, without any detection.

"We need to keep going, we don't know if others know about it. If we get there before anyone finds out, we'll live like kings for at least three lifetimes," Hifumi said.

The hunting party, hearing his words, was inspired. And they began to walk in a certain direction. Set hearing Hifumi was surprised, and a crazed grin appeared on his face.

"I don't know what you're talking about, but Hifumi... you're the unluckiest guy I've ever met!"

Set followed the hunting party until they reached a cave. The hunting party set up a camp at the mouth of the cave before Hifumi entered the cave. While the rest of them held their guard, under the safety of the Space Cloak, how could they discover Set? He skilfully sneaked into the cave without alarming any of the party members. Actually, the cave was a tunnel. After walking for a few minutes, Set caught up with Hifumi talking to himself.

"Damn! That damned beast is still there! I don't know if we can take down a World-class beast with our hunting party. I need to get that celestial treasure if I'm going to compete with that red-haired BASTARD!!!"

'Is he talking about me? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, too bad!'

Set was over the moon. It seemed like every time he found this guy he was intentionally or unintentionally screwing him over.

'With another celestial treasure in my roster, I will surely be unbeatable!'
