Shawn POV

Shawn was relaxing under the warmth of the afternoon sun, soaking up all the vitamin D with his sparkling pupils hidden behind blue shades while he listened to some calming music, occasionally taking a sip of his orange juice. He had just finished his final examination and was given a week off from college like his fellow mates.

Despite his annoying cousin's nagging he had aced the examinations and was crowned has the valedictorian of his graduating class.

He felt satisfied. Remembering the time when he first entered the college and was called has a baby of his colleagues just because he had skipped a few classes and was the youngest to ever enter the college, and the term annoyed him to no end. Asking help from his parents was useless his father would cover him with thick layers of the blanket while his mother would smother him with her love, his cousin had been of no help and started laughing at the expense of his baby cousin, it had been up to him, and he had faced the problem head-on. He knew that his family had his best interest in the heart but he had to deal with it on his own to become an independent man of society, his family won't be able to protect him and shield him every time.

Coming out of his thoughts, he glanced at his wristwatch for time. Getting up, he went into his room to get ready before heading to the park.

Jogging lightly he reached the park and sat on the bench waiting. He had in his hands a beautifully wrapped gift which he had just put in his coat pocket and was about to lean back and rest his eyes when his eyes caught the beautiful batch of multicolor flowers growing around the small fountain signifying that spring has come the colors reminded him of Julian.

Quickly seeing the time and finding out that he still had an hour to spare he went to the nearby flower shop and spent ample time choosing the flowers, the paper, the bow and the card. Finally, the finished product was in front of him a large bouquet of artfully arranged lilies accented by a simple but artistic ribbon. Satisfied with what he has chosen he paid for it and went back to the bench in the park and resumed his waiting.

He and Julian had agreed to meet here on the day of her last exam; which was today, a little earlier than usual.

He knew Julian must have prepared something on her end, she was just like that. She puts her hundred percent in caring for someone who cares for her in return and considers spending her efforts on satisfying or pleasing everyone useless and this was the woman he fell in deep attraction with and was serious for.
