Chapter Nine- Mission Under Ground

Turanna's Pov

I looked around the dump we landed in. Well this place looked like shit. Just by looking at this place you could tell it was no longer functional, not even the lights were entirely functional.

"What the hell was this place anyway? "I asked Rox who took up a sample of the ground which consist of fossils and dirt. Or in my terms a sample of shit.

"Some old laboratory. Once the government knew what they were doing the government shut them down " he replied simply and my eyes roamed around me. I couldn't help the feeling watched and the numerous skulls on display were not helping.

"Sir, I still have not located the gems" Rox spoke via his communication link, his hands plastered to his ear. I looked around the dump and when a hand touch my shoulder I screamed.

"Well by the name of hell Turanna... Are you serious? "Sushana asked apparently not finding my actions amusing. Rox did however, laughing at me without mercy.

I made a face at him.

I then looked to Sushana with a frown.

"Yes Sushana, my reaction was exactly called for. You don't go around touching people's shoulders slowly in random creepy dumps" I fumed.

"This moment is priceless " Rox remarked as he walked on ahead of us.

"Okay spilled the beans" Sushana stated as soon as Rox was out of sight or out of range to hear us rather.

"Spill what exactly Sush ?" I asked when to be quite frank I was already mindful of what she was referring to.

"Thomas Carter our lovely commander ditched this mission. He never ditch a mission and we all know why he is sitting this one out" she stated and I arched a brow.

She don't say. He ditched his first mission in a long while? How cute.

"I fail to see your point being delivered Sush, are you beginning to loose your touch honey? " I teased and I could see steam rising from her ears.

However before she could speak Rox came flying towards us, finding a painful rest on some human decay. Or at least those thing looked human.

"Roxwell! " Sushana exclaimed as she ran to his aid and I brought my guns forward. Roxwell? Well that is a new word in the dictionary.

"Fuck! I think I broke my ribs... Arghhh!" he groaned in pain as Sushana tried to ease him to his feet. I bit my tongue as a huge shadow crept closer in the dim distance down the hall.

"What the hell should I brace for Roxwell? " I asked as I looked to Rox who wore a frown. Apparently only Sush had the privilege to use his first name I guess.

"Expect Godzilla " he groaned as he eventually made it to his feet and the same thing he told me to expect made its way around the Dark corner.

A gigantic freaking lizard! By the god of mutations! Humans could create such a thing?

"Holy shit! " Sushana exclaimed as she fired at the creature because I like a shocked idiot I stood there frozen.

"Um sir... We may have a problem " Rox state throughout his communication link and when the creature swung it's tail at me I dodged.

Rox then looked to us afterwards .

"Back up is on it's way girls" he state as he helped me to my feet.

"On it's way? Does Carter forget we are past six feet in an under ground forsaken lab with a giant lizard? " Sushana asked as she grabbed an iron pipe to defend herself.

"Well bullets don't work on this thing that's for sure so might as well" I state as I placed my guns back in place on my hips before grabbing to iron pipes.

"I'm getting too old for this shit " Rox remarked as we took turns too take a hit on the monster.

Lizard, Mutation? What ever the fuck it was...

"And I'm way too young for this shit " Sushana remarked as she gave the creature a heck of a stab.

Just as I was about to give the creature a good stab someone held my shoulder. Seriously...

"Sush didn't I warned you about that and now is not a good time" I stated throughout gritted teeth as I raised my arm to stab the creature's back.

"Um Turanna that ain't me" came Sushana's voice and my eyes widened as I swallowed. Then if Sushana was no we're near me. What the fuck touched my shoulder?

When I turned around in no time I was wrestled to to the floor by a half man half tiger, the...
