Forgetful

"Oh you're going to Jeju?" Seunwo asked as he took a bite of the pancake Leira made for their breakfast. She helped passing him the honey.

"Mhm. Dohyon got invited to a resort opening party and he asked us to tag along. He said to invite you too."

"I still have work tomorrow, sorry." Seunwo said apologetically.

"Its okay. I know it would be tiring for you if you tag along." Leira said lightly and took a sip of her coffee. Then she looked at him.

"Want me to stay here with you instead?" She asked. Seunwo smiled at her while shaking his head.

"Its alright. Kai is going to crash this place so I would rather you not see it." He chuckled.

"Kai? Crash? Hes going to stay here?"

"Apparently, Kai is finding a wife and he wants to stay with me so that he could learn what is it like to have a girlfriend. ." Seunwo chuckled which makes Leira burst out laughing. He found himself smiling a bit.

"Kai is extreme." She mused. Her phone rings and she put down her utensils to answer the call.

"Hwi." She started. "I thought we were going in the afternoon."

Seunwo watched her cocked up her eyebrow as she was confused. He looked back to his food and take the last bite as he stood up and went to the kitchen with his plate.

"Fine, fine. I'll get ready sheesh." Leira rolled her eyes and put her phone down on the table beside her plate. She finished her pancake and followed him when she saw him going to wash the dishes.

"Let me do it." She said swiftly taking his plate from his hand.

Before he could protest, Leira tiptoed to kiss his cheek quickly and washed their plates.

"Did you get taller?"

"Haha I don't think so. I'm passed that age." Seunwo said as he leaned back to the counter near her while sipping his coffee. Leira snorted.

"Yeah probably because I haven't done that in awhile to notice." She muttered lowly before changing the topic. Seunwo seems like he's in another world because he didn't quite catch what she said.

Just as expected, their buzzer rang repetitively making both of them cringe at the annoyingness.

"Your friend is here." Seunwo said as he unlocked the gate using his phone. Leira hummed and quickly ran upstairs to change.

"Don't tell him I just went to change!"

He shook his head amused and opened the door for her friend to come in.

"Hey."

"She's upstairs." Seunwo smiled and greeted him. He sat at the sofa, checking his phone.

Hwiyoung grinned and went upstairs to pester his best friend. "Slow poke, I told you I would be here in 5 minutes!"

Just as Seunwo put his phone down, the door buzzed again and this time, he really don't want to open the door for the newcomer as he saw who was it.

"Yah, Han Seunwo. Open the door. Your new housemate is here!" Kai said through the telecom. Sighing exasperatedly, he unlocked the gate and let his friend through.

Kai's face was full of smug when he came through the door.

"Not bad for a doctor. I thought it would be trashy since you don't really have much time but then again, you're like a mother." He snorted. Seunwo just rolled his eyes.

"Its a resort party, Hwi! I'm not going to wear heels on an island."

"Dohyon did said its a formal event. Heck, I even had to wear a tux."

Leira and Hwiyun arguing upstairs could be heard when she went out from the closet, went back to the bedroom with Hwi followed behind her lazily and Kai gave Seunwo a questioning look.

"Who's Hwi?"

"Her friend."

"And why are you down here and he's up there alone with her?"

"What are you saying, Kai?" Seunwo said casually sat back on the sofa and turned on the tv.

"You trust this guy?"

"He's like her brother while you tried to get her number right in front of me." Seunwo said raising his brows at him.

"You are too cool for your own good, man." Kai shook his head at his friend.

"Doh!" Leira called out when she saw him waiting for them at the entrance lobby of the resort. He was wearing a simple turtle neck shirt that compliments his broad shoulders.

"My best friends got their broad shoulders game up to the max, huh." Leira said when she looked at both of her friend standing side by side.

"Hey, why are you all suit up?" He gave her a hug and said to Hwiyun who looked like he's ready to hit the runway.

"Formal."

Dohyun snorted and lead them to the resort's beach where the event is held at. Leira and Hwiyun were ready to attack the food section. He excused himself as he heard someone called him.

"You guys, enjoy. I'll be back in a bit." Dohyon said. Leira hummed and Hwiyun is already lost to the foods.

"Hwi."

"What?" He asked as he started to put food on his plate. They already ate earlier but the foods are calling them, begging to be eaten by the two foodies.

"Have you ever wondered what he do?" Leira asked as she squinted her eyes to see Dohyon talking to a bunch of elite looking people.

"I did once and it got confusing so I gave up and accept him as whoever he is. Lei, there's oyster. Ew." Hwiyun cringe at the sight of seafood. Leira scoffed at him.

"You ew. No one asked you to eat it."

"I think I lost appetite."

"As if. Come on move along, you're holding the line." Leira took some food on her plate and lightly pushed him to walk.

"There's no one behind-"

"Yeah yeah."

"Anyways, I think you shouldn't think about it that much." Hwiyun said as they sat at the table with their name on it.

"About what?" Leira asked, happily eating.

"Jesus, Lei."

"What?" She asked questioningly.

"You were talking about Dohyon just now, you idiot."

"Oh, I just asked but I don't really care either. Dohyun is Dohyon. I wouldn't mind even if he's a drug lord."

"Drug lord?" Hwiyun laughed.

"I mean, look at him. He got that package alright." She grinned playfully as they both look towards Dohyon direction.

He had been talking to multiple men and even well known influenced people, they seems to know him well too.

It was already night time when the event had finally come to an end. The resort had invited a famous singer to sing, closing the party in a romantic way. Every couple there started slow dancing with each other and Hwiyun and Leira was too occupied in playing jenga. They hissed at Dohyon when he came and purposely shake the table.

"Earthquake."

"You ass." Hwiyun narrowed his eyes at him. Leira joined in.

"Yeah ass."

"Where's your Han? The song is about to end and you guys are not even together." Dohyon waved them off and asked Leira.

"Eh? He didn't come. . I told you he be tired if he joined us." Leira said nonchalantly as she stack up the jenga. Dohyon balked at her.

"Huh? You're going home today then?"

"Aw why? Its already night time. I don't like traveling home at night."

"Lei, you dumbass." Dohyon groaned as he shook his head.

"What? What? Why?"

"I invited you and Seunwo here today because its your 1 year anniversary!"
