"So the engagement is off?"

"Yes. I have never been this grateful in my life. " Leira sighed contently and began munching on the fries that were piling on a plate near the fireplace.

It was to keep them warm based on Chae's beliefs.

"Did you make up with Seunwo hyung?" Hwiyun asked meaningfully.

"Mhm. We're cool."

"When are you not?"

Leira grinned at Chae who looked annoyed. She was comfortably laying on the carpet enjoying the fire.

"You guys certainly made this your own house."

"Hey, Dodo."

"Bro."

"Duyung, sup?"

"Did you just called me a mermaid?" Dohyon said amused.

Chae ignored him as she continue to use her phone.

"Oh you have a guest. Hello." Leira greeted casually when she saw a person behind him, looking at them weirdly.

The person just nodded at her and look away from them, drilling a hole into Dohyon's head.

Chae rolled to her belly lazily.

"Wow, you're good looking."

"That's what I thought." Leira agreed with her. Hwiyun wanted to laugh but held it back.

"Sorry, Yong. Don't mind my friends, lets me just take the pendrive real quick and you'll be on your way away from these girls." Dohyon sighed he said pointedly on the last part making the two girls laugh.

"Its fine, take your time." The male named Yong said.

Dohyon went to his study and Tyong could feel one of the girls eyes on him.

"So do you have a girlfriend?"

"Married."

Leira and Hwiyun is already laughing at this point while Chae made a face at them.

"Oh wait, you're Yong Lee right? NGO?"

Yong nodded suddenly reminded of his wife looking at how blunt the girl was.

"You know him?" Chae asked, interested.

"Hwi and I volunteered in one of his projects before. He's a good man- You're a good man, sir." Leira salute.

"You're a good man." Hwiyun repeated.

Yong chuckled and shook his head amused.

"Thanks."

"Alright stop pestering my boss. Here. This should solve the glitch."

Dohyon came back and gave a tiny box to Yong.

"Nice. When are you going to come home?"

"Maybe next week hyung. Tell the guys I said hi, Aluna too."

"Aluna is beginning to say that you don't exist." Yong joked.

Dohyon grinned and send him out before coming back inside with 3 pair of eyes looking at him.

"What?"

"He's a mafia leader." Leira said amusingly.

"And?"

"I might as well start stanning Dohyon." Chae said playfully.

Dohyon barfed.

Leira chuckled at his full of judgement face and went back to her laptop.

"How to stop a marriage?" He wanted to laugh reading the screen, sitting on the arm rest.

"I was looking at this while waiting for Seunwo to get home that day. " Leira hummed.

"What were you planning?" Hwiyun peered over.

"Burn down the venue."

Seunwo looked up and looked back down to his phone.

"Wow."

Kai sat down in front of him with his coffee.

"What is this? The good Dr Han ignoring his colleague?"

"What do you want?" He put down his phone and sips on his latte.

The coffee shop was quiet since there weren't much people in the morning.

"Just saying hi." Kai shrugged. He almost let out a chuckle at that.

"Go back to your office and eat alone."

"Ouch, so mean. I'm not Taejin."

"I might have to start talk nicer to him instead of you." Seunwo nodded. Kai just grinned playfully at him.

"Lei is going to Japan tomorrow by the way. You didn't forget about that, did you?"

"I know." Seunwo hummed.

"Dr Han, son."

Both of the young doctors looked up when the head of hospital came to their table.

"Sir." Seunwo greeted him with a smile.

"Have you heard about my son's engagement?" The HD patted Kai's shoulder proudly.

Seunwo nodded hesitantly.

"Isn't it funny? We break it off the day after."

Kai sighed at that.

"It's a bit of a relief actually." Seunwo replied good naturally. The HD hummed questioningly.

"Why so? Are you acquaintances with Kim Leira?"

"Leira is his girlfriend." Kai said flatly making the head doctor boomed, laughing at his own son luck. Seunwo's lips tug upwards, amused.

"This is why you need to tell your family, you're seeing someone seriously." His father added. Kai shook his head subtly at his friend but he just shrugged.

Despite his cool outer side, Seunwo was actually tensing.

"Enjoy your coffee. I'm heading back home now."

"Take care dad."

"Ahh, looks like I have to find another girl for my lonely son. Can I even get a grandchild at this point?"

The doctors watch as the HD leave while sighing for his son's future. Seunwo wanted to laugh at Kai's face as soon as the father left.

"You're making your dad worry. That's new."

"Well, too bad I fell in love with your girlfriend. I was so sure I can steal her from you though."

Seunwo shook his head at him when his phone rang. The caller id flashed and he immediately answered it while locking eyes with the annoyed doctor.

"Yeah."

"Are you coming home tonight?" The voice of both of the doctor's precious said through the phone.

"Yeah, after the surgery at 7, I'll be heading home. Why? Are you going somewhere Lei?"

"No, I want to cook dinner today. I was watching youtube earlier and came across with the butter chicken recipe. Oh and I'm at Dohyon's new place. It's insane. Want to see? Or are you busy? Sorry I called you out of nowhere."

"Not at all, I'm on a coffee break. You can show me." Seunwo said and tap on the video call button. Soon enough, Leira's face appeared on the screen.

"Hehe, hi boyfriend."

Kai sighed as he heard her voice. Seunwo smiled subtly at what he's doing to the guy.

"Do you have all the ingredients to cook though?"

"Yeah. Thanks for buying grocery, I'm going to have a joy of a time." Leira chuckled and turned the camera to her friend.

"This is the owner of the house."

"Hey doc." Dohyon looked up and nodded at the doctor. Seunwo smiled at him and Leira went around the house showing things that she found interesting.

"Aight, I'm tired. See you at home!"

"Can't wait to eat. I'll be back soon, Lei." Seunwo said plastering his warm smile. Leira beamed at him.

"Yeah. Bye love ya."

The call ended and Kai narrowed his eyes at the happy boyfriend.

"Your shift ends tomorrow right? Good, stay that way."

"You sure you're not rubbing it to my face now?"

"Nope."

"Oh well, I'm just a doctor with a lot of shares under my name. I'm sure I can get a girl like Leira for myself." He said nonchalantly.

"That's a smooth boast of your worth."

"Right?" Kai snickered when Seunwo shook his head amused.

"Oh when she's crazy, she's my mother and not yours?" Leira had to rolled her eyes. She continued chopping the garlic to bits.

Wushin sighed.

"Yeah well. Seems like cancelling the engagement really it for her. She even came by the office today to confront dad."

Leira could hear the tiredness in his voice. Wiping her hands off, she took her phone and pressing it at her ears.

"I can't just marry someone when I already have someone, bro. It doesn't work that way. Sorry you had to be in the middle."

"You better be. Treat me lunch tomorrow."

"But I don't want to go out tomorrow." Leira started to whine and her brother just chuckled.

"Then cook me something."

"That I can do. By the way, are you okay? Is work tough?" Leira grinned.

She knew how all the burden was on his shoulder and how she could have lifted it up a bit if she choose to help the family instead.

"I'm fine, baby sis. I rather have you do what you love instead of being a corporate slave." He said playfully to lighten the mood. She chuckled lightly.

"You know I would have done everything I can if you got arranged." Leira said proudly.

"Heck, I would threaten to make the company plummet if they set me up with someone. Dad would lose his shit."

The two siblings broke into a big laugh, thinking how their father would react if their eldest son finally rebelled.

"We are such a bad child." Leira snorted.
