******Eric's POV******

Seeing my mother's gentle smile warmed my heart. I was suddenly very grateful to Violet for dragging me here. My mother is one of the most important people in my life, she is the one person who encourages me to be the best that I can be.

My body froze when my eyes spotted him. I never considered him my father, to me he is nothing. After all he had done... Where ever he goes misery and distraction follows. He ruined my mother's life and continues to belittle me. I felt a warm hand on my arm, I looked down to see Violet beside me.

"Are you Okay?" Her voice was a sweet melody calming the fire of my fury. I had no idea why?

"I am okay." I reassured her but I knew all too well it was a lie. I was trying to convince myself more than trying to convince her.

We sat down at the table mingling with everyone until I noticed Violet's droopy eyes. She looked like she was about to pass out any minute. I let out a little chuckle walking towards her, I wrapped an arm around her and guided her towards the car.

When we reached home I carried Violet to my room because there was no way in hell I was going to climb another flight of stairs. Ah, she is so peaceful when her mouth is shut. I placed her on the bed and walked to the other side of the bed, laying down on the comfortable mattress and let sleep take over me.

The next morning I woke up to a head nestled into my bare chest, her body curled into mine. With my arms wrapped around her. Before I could do anything, I saw her eyes slowly flutter open and I quickly shut mine.

******Violet's POV******

Warmth.

all I could feel was warmth. I slowly opened my eyes and came in line with a chiseled chest. I lifted up my index finger and poked it to see if it was real.

Of course it's real, fool.

Looking up I saw Eric, his emerald eyes were now looking back at me and I felt his chest vibrate against me as he laughed. I groaned and turned to my right, facing away from him and snuggled deeper beneath the blanket.

"I guess your not a morning person." He said in a sexy morning voice. Why was this man so perfect.

"Whatever." I muttered and went back to sleep. He left from the bed for work. Then it was cold, way too cold.

I felt the sunshine on my face and the irritation of light shining through my eye lids. I groaned and slowly opened my eyes. Where the hell am I ? I looked around and saw a black and grey themed room with large glass windows. Then I remembered this morning. Of course, why am I left with such awkward moments all the frickin' time.

I woke up from the bed and freshened up. What should I do today? When I walked downstairs and made my way to the kitchen which was near his study. To my surprise he wasn't there. Oh, wow. He actually went to work today. His usual Sunday's were spent buried under his paperwork in his study. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes and the delicious scent filled my nose. I rushed quickly to the kitchen to see Rosa's new creation. What the hell? My eyes came in with a bare chested gorgeous specimen. How the hell...?

"like what you see?" He asked with amusement in his voice," You could always just take a picture, it will last longer. I mean unless—"

How original.

"Please. Spare me!" I pleaded to him.

"like you're not enjoying Checking me out." he said raising an eyebrow with a smirk.

"You are right. I did until you opened your mouth." I said whilst sitting at the counter, placing my elbows on the black granite with my head in my hands as I watched him busy by the stove.

"When I open my mouth? Please when you speak you make people's ears bleed."

"Funny guy, funny guy. At least when I open my mouth shit doesn't come flying out."

"Whatever floats your boat princess." He said whilst flipping an omelet.

I frowned looking at his chest," What is it now?" He asked.

I just can't comprehend how a billionaire like you doesn't own normal clothes." I said with a raised eyebrow.

"For your i formation, I do have normal clothes but where's the fun in that." I rolled my eyes and looked at him.

"you are truly delusional."

" You should be happy, your eyes have just been blessed with one of the world wonders."his sentence made me laugh, "Here you go." He said whilst plating the omelets and setting them on the granite counter. When he came closer to put my plate in front of me, I placed my hand on his forehead," what are you doing?" He asked?"

"checking if you have a fever."

"Violet, I'm not sick." He said in a confused tone.

" Then why are you being so nice to me ?" He let out a little chuckle and shook his head.

"Violet be quiet and just eat. He said with a smile.

I seated in my room on my bed with a book in my hand. I was reading 'Sleepless' it's a book about a sandman who watched over a specific girl that he had taken a liking to and how he tried to protect her from her nightmares that followed her after her boyfriend died. It's one of my favorite books because it's about a person who would try and do everything in their power to protect the one he loves. Just as I reached the climax of the story, the phone rang.

"Hello, sweetheart." As soon as I answered my mother's voice chirped on the other end.

"Hi mum." I said with a smile even though she couldn't see it.

"Honey we miss you so much. Sophie, Ethan and Hunter have been very moody without you. They saying that since you got married you haven't spent any time with them." She laughed.

"Awe, shame. They miss me that much." I laughed.

"Sweetheart, you should bring Eric home for supper one of these day's." Mum (Chloe) insisted.

" I will try, but no promises." I said in a very awkward laugh.

"is he treating you right?" I could practically picture the worry in her eyes.

"Yes mum, shockingly he is." I said honestly," okay love you mum, send my love to the others."

"Will do sweetie, bye." She said making a loud kissing sound.

"Bye." I said wit a little laugh.

"I heard somebody is missing me." I said in a teasing voice.

"Violet! I am so happy to hear your voice." Her excitement made me feel over joyed with such a simple gesture," Vi, You have been MIA for about a month now. When are you coming back?" She asked worried.

"I am sorry I took a long leave because I just needed some time to myself but I am coming back tomorrow." I explained to her.

"I understand but you know I don't think we are the only ones that miss you, boss really would he seems to be missing his favorite employee." She teased.

"Ha ha, Sophie we both know that he is probably glade I'm gone. I think I would have been fired a long time ago if I wasn't so damn good at my job." I laughed

"Ya well he is making Our lives more hellish then usual and by the way Ethan lost the bet." She stated the last part randomly.

"what bet?" I asked confused.

" The one we made, Ethan said that he is an ass because he hasn't got laid in a long time and I said that he is an ass because he is just am ass." She explained .

"Oh my gosh! He got a girlfriend." I said shocked, "who would have thought he would have ever got one, I always thought that the only woman that could ever love him was his mother." I told her laughing.

Just one of those faces.

" Not, exactly girlfriend. He had an affair with on of our main business client's Wife and the husband happened to be a very influential guy who got mostly all our other client to stop dealing and investing with us. So ya the company got bought by some big top guy. He is going to based by us because he wants to even out Mr Samsons error and make our sector which is now his new branch more efficient." She explained.

"Oh, wow." Things change so much and I wasn't even gone for so long.

"I know, but I got to go bye lovey! See you tomorrow."

"Bye!" I yelled.

I wonder who the new boss man could be...
