Once again I found myself stuck in a horrid meeting with an investor from London. He carried on as if he had a stick shoved so far up his ass it was most probably poking his brain.
"The agreement regarding the construction of the new hotel shall go as planned. Meeting adjourned." said Eric.
I picked up my notes and raced out the meeting as fast as I could in 6-inch heels. When I reached my office I caught a glimpse of a mischievous face through the gaps of the open mahogany blinds.
"Why are you here?" I asked whilst entering.
"How can you ask me that?" asked Hunter as he placed a hand on his heart dramatically.
"Really can you be anymore dramatic? Hunter I have lots of work to do so I would love it if you could please leave. Big boss man won't let me leave until I finish all my pending paperwork." I said as I pointed at the pile of papers the size of Mount Everest.
"Your husband does that to you?" He asked with sympathetic eyes.
"Hunter at work he's not necessarily my husband, he's my ruthless overworking boss that wants these papers done by the end of the day , so goodbye Hunter!" I said tiresomely to him.
Hunter crossed his legs on the couch in the corner of my office whilst pulling out his phone he began to text.
""Hunter, honey. When a person says goodbye the other person is usually supposed to leave!" By now I was ready to stab this boy with a pencil.
"Do you know how hard it is to visit you during work hours? I took so much of my time to come here and see you and this is the thanks I get?" He complained.
"Hunter the company you are in just moved the building across the street form ours. All you had to do was cross the road and walk into an elevator." I said completely unimpressed.
"Don't forget pressing the button." He added.
"Yes and the button." I said with a sigh.
I continued looking towards my computer hoping to finish my work but Hunter's voice in the background sounded like long nails scraping against a chalk board. I began to feel my sanity slowly slip away.
Oh my soul...
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
When I looked out my office window for the first time in 5 hours after I threw a stapler at Hunter causing him to rush out my office, It was dark, very dark.
Oh shit!
Finally after I scanned and emailed all the paper work to 'Big Boss Man', I stood up and began packing all my belongings into my handbag. I made my way towards the elevator until my body crashed into a chest causing me to fall awkwardly on my butt.
Ouch!!!
"Oh my God! Are you okay?" A familiar man asked as he helped me up. I looked at the man that I accidently ran into, he had light blue eyes with dirty blonde hair and he was just a few inches taller than me in heels.
I know you.
" I think so...It's Zack right?" I asked knowing all too well that if I was wrong, I would like nothing more than the earth swallow me whole.
"Yes Violet, so..." He said as he rubbed his hand against the back of his neck nervously, " I know you don't really know me but I was wondering if you would like to grab a cup of coffee with me?" he asked.
"Uhhmm...I...You know..."
"Just as friends, if that's okay with you?" he asked quickly before I could finish my sentence.
"Oh okay...Nice." I said with an awkward smile.
Well this is really awkward...
"So I will see you at 8 .a.m. tomorrow. We can meet at Central Park and you can choose where you wanna go." He stated with a toothy grin as I nodded and awkwardly smiled back at him whilst frowning.
What an odd boy.
"Oh Violet before you go can you please give this to the boss." he asked.
"He is still here." I asked kind of shocked.
"Yes Violet, how do you not know that? his office is right across yours." he stated and amusement lingered in his eyes.
"Okay then," I said whilst grabbing the document from him, "Bye Zack."
"Bye Violet." He said and with that he was gone.
I made my way towards Eric's office and slowly entered.
"Violet, why don't you knock?" He asked without even looking up.
"But how?" I asked confused.
"You are the only one in this office that doesn't knock." He said in a very tired tone.
The first few top buttons of his shirt were open and his sleeves where rolled up to his elbows with his tie that hung loosely around his neck.
Damn, he looked extra hot today.
Have some water you thirsty ass bitch.
I stared at him until the sound of a throat being cleared drew me out of my thought. Shit, what was I gonna say? Oh, ya," Fair enough, but you are the only one still here in the office working." I said after regaining my composure but a smug smirk lingered on his lips.
Ass.
I Walked closer to him," Come on, let's go home. It's already half past seven." I groaned.
"No, go away Violet. I will come home only after I am finished with this work." he stated stubbornly.
I walked behind his desk and attempted to swing his chair around so that he could face towards me.
Damn! What do you weigh?
"Wow." I said with an awkward laugh after I successfully turned him towards me.
"Violet! What the fuck are you doing?" he asked angrily.
"Chill, you are coming home with me now." I said but he refused to budge so I grabbed his tie and tried with all my might to pull him towards me and up from his chair, but it only caused me to misbalance. I landed right onto his lap and my face collided with his rock hard chest.
Oh wow, again...Nice.
His arms encircled my waist holding ensuring that I wouldn't fall. I looked up into his eyes and then down to his lips. Our lips were only inches apart just as we began to close the distance between us a loud ring drew us out of our hypnotic high.
He picked up the phone next to him with one hand whilst the other held me tighter as I awkwardly tried to struggle out of his arm but my efforts were futile.
Oh well then...
After his short conversation his arms loosened around my waist and I slowly got up, "So... can we please go home. I am tired and hungry which I an assuming you are too, so let's go." I said with a pout and something like the 'Puss In Boots' eyes trick.
"Violet...I...Fine." He said as he grabbed my hand and we left.
Finally I am starving...
