21. His Wolf

Ally's POV

Just when my claws were about to latch into an enemy, all of the fighting in the hallway ceased. I saw all of the wolves sulk out of their pack house with their tails between their legs, and I allowed my defenses to drop.

"Hi!" a voice squealed in my head, and I flinched slightly at the high pitch.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Quincey, your wolf."

"Where have you been for the last 18 years?"

"I was locked into your mind by your mother for your own protection, but now that you have your soulmate, I was able to break through the wall."

"Why would she do that?"

"I'm sorry to break this to you, but your mother was never the best person on this planet. She craves control, and one of the only ways she could get that from you was forcing me down until you couldn't access your Alpha side. That's why you always felt incomplete as a child; your body wanted to have its first shift when you turned 4, but since I was blocked, there was no way for that to happen."

"I can't believe... I always thought she wanted what was best for me!"

"That woman had a way of turning people against each other in the worst ways possible. She intentionally made your father kill her so that a war would begin and he would be thrown into that mental state. She basically made you powerless, manipulated your brother, then left you all to pick up the pieces."

Suddenly, I was shocked out of my mind by a hand touching my muzzle, and I opened my eyes wide to see one of the pack doctors. "Do you hurt anywhere seriously?"

I did a quick assessment of my current state before shaking my head. Most of the blood on my body wasn't my own, so I looked much worse than I actually am. "Excellent. We'll be heading out as soon as everyone is accounted for."

As I was walking towards the front door, I stopped to look at my reflection in a puddle of water. My wolf was russet colored, and he still had my deep blue eyes. If anything, he was actually pretty handsome.

"I'm gonna take that as a compliment," Quincey bellowed. "We should go see mate!"

"Quice I have to make sure Alex is okay."

"Oh he'll be fine, but I really miss mate!"

"Fine."

Once my paws touched the sponge like grass, I began sprinting towards where ever my heart told me Vic was. I could tell that Quincey was enjoying this little run, and I was also loving the feeling of breeze throughout my fur. I probably looked insane with the amount of blood all over me, yet I found that seeing Vic was much more important than looking normal.

I busted through the woods, and I soon realized that he was busy guarding the border when I slammed into his legs. Quincey took control of our body to begin licking Vic's face until it was wet with good ol' wolf slobber. "Ok ok, I get it, Ally!" His laughter was making my whole body feel warmer, and I dropped my weight onto his body. "You're covered in blood."

A little yip came out of my muzzle, and I pushed my nose into his beautiful hair. My tail was wagging from side to side at the joy from just being near him, and I was kind of shocked at just how childish Quincey was. "It's because I never got to share your childhood. It'll probably calm down in a week."

Suddenly, Vic's fingers started combing the hair behind my ears, and I felt an intense wave of pleasure fall over my whole body. A little rumble came from my chest, and I loved the way Vic giggled at my behavior.

"You're really cute as a wolf, but can I have human Ally back now?"

I somehow managed to shift back, and I was instantly glad that I still had my underwear on. "Hi," I chirped.

"We really need to give you a bath, babe."

"Rude!"

"It's true!"

I was lifted up off of the forest floor into Vic's arms, and my arms curled themselves nervously around his neck. "Please don't drop me!"

"Do you really have that little faith in my abilities?"

The wind whipped my hair all over the place from his swift running, and I had pushed my face into the nook of his neck so I wouldn't get sick. By the time I had gotten used to the movement, we were slowing down, and I was being carried through the hallways of the mansion. "Vic what the hell I put you on border duty!" Marc shouted at my soulmate.

"Sometimes there are more important things."

"What could be more important than the safety of this coven?"

"So you're telling me that you wouldn't drop everything just to hang out with Winston right now?"

"Maybe I would, but I'm not doing anything important!"

"Buddy you're the leader of the coven; there has to be something you could be doing right now other than getting on my ass for dumb stuff!"

"I just think that you need to get your priorities straight a little bit more. That and you're getting blood all over the carpet. Someone is going to smell this and attack the poor boy!"

"Well I was trying to get him into the bathroom before I was noticed, but I was interrupted!"

"Fine! Bathe the kid now, but know that there will be more work for you later as a result of the blatant disrespect you're showing with now!"

"Fine! I've learned recently that he's more important than any work that you can shove my direction, so you can do whatever you want to me when he's asleep tonight."

Vic stormed away, but I was alarmed by the hate in Marc's eyes when he glared in my direction. I narrowed my eyes back at him courtesy of Quincey, and he stomped his right foot like a little child before storming away much like Vic was doing with me.

"Clothes off," Vic commanded once we were in the bathroom.

"Uh... What?"

"You can't bathe with your boxers on, can you?"

"But aren't you going to leave first?"

"Aww there's nothing to be worried about! If it makes you feel better, I'll be stripping too."

A blush stained my cheeks, and I adverted my eyes when his shirt came off from his body. "W-why are you getting naked!?"

"We all have to get showers, you know." When I peeked my eyes open, Vic was bare ass naked in front of me turning on the water. As he turned the knob, his head turned so that his eyes were on mine. "You don't have to be scared, you know. I don't bite... Well I won't bite you unless you ask me to."

I nervously dropped my boxers before nearly sprinting into the currently cold shower water. I jerked back with a yelp, but my foot slipped on the shower floor. Just when I thought I was going down, Vic caught me from behind with a little chuckle. I was fire engine red, and it wasn't from the blood. Oh, for God's sake, we've hardly started, and I'm already losing my mind. The things this boy does to me.
