Just as the battle finishes, Gu Yue leaves them again wanting to find the truth about the spirit beast's attack as she wasn't informed.
If the spirit beasts attacked now that humanity had greatly weakened due to the attack of the Abysm and the Holy Church, the losses will be enormous and that was without taking into account the unknown power of Mei. With its technology, mechas and battle armor, it was clear that humanity was far stronger and could face normally the low number of beasts if they cooperate, but with Mei acting up, there were some doubts.
Everyone returns to their own headquarters to recover from the near battle. Even if they said it was in two weeks, it could be early, so they need it to be prepared for it.
Over Shrek, they all had a good rest, recovering their wounds and familiarizing with their new strength as most of them had evolved during the last fight.

Supposing that she said the truth, Mei would have the power of a true god, far stronger than a new ascended one as Xueqin is when using all his power and Wulin now that he had excited his bloodline after fusing with Gu Yue. Plus, Mei's experience with it, it will make her a far greater threat than the leaders of the Holy Church. And that was without thinking about the spirit beasts accompanying her, especially Di Tian.
Guangying focuses on Wulin and Xueqin and tells them that they will need their true strength, confounding them a little as they don't understand her. She explains that as they are god's sons, they should have inherited some of their parents' divinity and that in the future battle, they will need to have awakened.
Under the question of why, Guangying answers that following what she had learned, she hypothesizes that the best way would be passing their parents' godhood test. Accepting Guangying's idea, Wulin starts the same Sea God Test that were made by Tang San in the DD1 while Xueqin goes to the Sword Valley.
Arriving at the Sword Valley followed by Yehui, Xueqin instantly realizes that something was wrong, some changes over it as it seemed more unstable.
Xueqin and Yehui blackout for an instant and they find themselves over a gray world full of swords. In the center, 6 figures stood waiting for them. Xueqin recognizing them as the 6 Swords Souls and finds that there are more people around them.
The Sword Souls communicate that due to the death of the previous Sword Douluo, a new Sword Douluo Festival will be made to choose the new one, this time hosted by them. In there, there are all the candidates with the qualifications to inherit the position, meaning every Sword Monarch.
The Sword Souls declares that this Festival will only consist of choosing the next Sword Douluo, without any more test than that. The next Sword Douluo will be voted by everyone in there, however, to have a conclusive result, the votes must be unanimity, meaning that everyone must vote for the same person.
After saying the rules of the votation, the Sword Souls disappear and the different Monarchs instantly launched towards each other. The rules were clear if you wanted unanimity, you need to convince or force the others to vote for you or killing your rivals as deads don't have the right to vote.
There aren't many Monarchs, only 5 more without counting Xueqin and Yehui.
The first opponent that Xueqin's finds is Skyfrost's grandfathers, the patriarch of the Wu family. He thanks Xueqin for taking care of his grandson and regrets his son's death in the Holy Church's hands. He knows that he isn't fit to become the next Sword Douluo, but before voting Xueqin, he should show his strength.
Both fight, the Wu patriarch using his Divine Soul Sword while Xueqin facing him with pure swordsmanship and winning that is able to contend against it, winning against him.
Just as the Wu patriarch finishes to say that Xueqin had his vote, Xueqin warns him of danger, but he is unable to react in time as a sword pierce his heart, immediately killing it.
Behind him, while wielding a sword stood the Corruption Sword Douluo. Even in the last battle over the Holy Church's headquarters, he had been able to escape with great injuries and his mecha destroyed as escaping had been always his specialty.

They fight against each other and Xueqin is pushed, Corruption showing his strength is far stronger than the Wu patriarch. However, Xueqin doesn't despair, he starts using his own sword and sharpening his pure sword intent, avoiding most of the damage and improve in real time, making every hit stronger than the last.
Shortly after fighting, Corruption contemplates shocked as Xueqin's Pure All Sword is already able to face against his Divine Soul Sword. Afraid of defeat, he calls his disciple for help, but the one that appears is Yehui holding the head of that disciple in her hand.
Seeing his disciple dead and with no way to continue fighting, he surrenders under Xueqin, kneeling to him and stating that he will vote for him. However, Xueqin looks coldly at him and cut him in half, killing him.
With only Yehui and Xueqin standing, Yehui declares that her vote is for Xueqin. With all the remaining votes for Xueqin, the Sword Souls declares him as the peak of the Sword Valley, Sword Douluo Ning Xueqin.
Xueqin requests the Sword Souls about the test of the Sword God and they answered that he had already been doing them, passing the gates, being accepted by the Holy Light, acquiring the title of Monarch, all of them were the Sword God Test. And for the last one, he is required to be the Sword Douluo and now that he had become, he need to face the last test to achieve divinity.
Xueqin request to start the test and in front of him a person appears that is incredibly similar to him but with sharp deep gray eyes and gray hair. He is the Sword God Ning Bai.
The Sword Souls explains that its an incredibly precise projection of Bai but without his divinity. They also explain that Xueqin should give out as this test is too difficult. Other Sword Douluos only needed to face a Bai that focused on their same element but the one in front of Xueqin was the real Bai, a Bai with the strength before he ascended to the Divine Realm.
Xueqin accepts the test anyway and fights against Bai whose sword awakens becoming pure chaos as attacks him. Xueqin is overwhelmed, Bai's technique, speed, strength, everything was superior to him. Moreover, Xueqin was unable to read over Bai's Chaos while Xueqin's every movement was seen by Bai.
Xueqin uses his strongest weapon from the start, unleashing his 7th skill, the Chaos Sword that is the only one able to face Bai. The only reason that he was able to exchange blow with him was that Xueqin's sword was stronger and seemed to suppress Bai's projected one.
However, Xueqin quickly realizes that this is not the way, that Chaos Sword is not his own, having been unable to control it. It was the own spirit of the sword that moved to try to protect him.
Xueqin change sword, using his 1th skill, becoming his own sword, preparing to face Bai with his own strength.
Bai feeling no longer suppressed unleashes one of his skill, the
Xueqin holds tightly his sword and enters into an enlightenment state, everything moving at low speed while he swings his sword, cutting everything in front of him and extinguishing the explosion.
Xueqin falls on his knees exhausted, his arms trembling unable to even wield his sword. He is shocked about that slash, not knowing what exactly it was, but somehow feeling that he had stepped in something new.
Looking towards Bai as he floats over him, a thin line appears crossing Bai's body from up to down. Bai's body separates into two parts, falling to the ground and disappearing. Xueqin's last slash had done much more than cutting the Bai's attack, it cut Bai's himself in half.
A gray pillar fell over Xueqin as he feels his blood building, something awakens inside him as his strength increases, manifesting his true divinity.
The Sword Souls appears and states that unlike previous Sword Douluos, he had the key to open the Sword Valley to the world, increasing his own divinity and faith all over the continent, increasing his powers not only inside the Valley, the world becoming the new Valley.
Using his sword spirit, pointing it to the sky, a gray pillar pierce over the Sword Valley, breaking the domain that surrounded it and letting all the sword qi escape to the outside world.
The Sword Souls kneels in front of him, thanking for their true liberation before disappearing into particles.
With gray light and sword qi expanding all over the world, the birth of a new true god was announced.
