Act 4

Indeed, on the black screen of the smartphone, random numbers shone on it with sickening words implemented above it.

Just the sight of these words caused Yue XiFeng to grimace with a contorted expression as she stuck her tongue out in displeasure.

'YOUR HUSBAND.'

These words were reflected brightly on the dark screen while the red phone symbol was nowhere in sight, indicating that the caller hacked Lian Ji's phone just to call her.

With one glimpse and she could tell that the caller was the same persistent bastard who had been obstructing her for years.

His looks may be indisputable, but he had been interfering with her relationships for years!

3 Years ago was when it all began.

Exiting the school, two towering figures of men completely decked in black could be seen hovering in front of her as to prevent her from leaving the premise.

The men remained silent as they barred the middle schooler, not letting her walk even a single step. Yue XiFeng remained perplexed as she furrowed her brows, confused towards the current situation for her boyfriend was awaiting her arrival by the school gates.

Curious gazes from the other students could be seen directed towards her, but their view was soon blocked away by even more men in black, who ushered them out. As they were all students, hence not daring to go against the imposing men, the majority of them could only wordlessly guess as they fled in a curious notion.

Glaring viciously, she stood in a fighting position as her clenched fists were placed in front of her body, to protect her chest and head. The two bodyguards remained motionless as they discreetly eyed the thin and professedly frail woman.

Seeing that the men weren't taking her seriously, the corner of her lips twitched as she lunged forward at them. Caught off guard, the men felt something small and blunt poking at their necks, without even having a single moment to react.

Yue XiFeng's index and middle finger pressed tightly with one another, piercing the necks of the poor men, causing them to stagger, their eyes wide in surprise.

But as the poor unsuspecting men wheezed violently, a low and magnetic voice echoed from the direction of the school gates.

"Tang family's golden finger technique... I knew it was you." The voice delightfully declared, with a soft tone as the figure of a person emerged from in between the surrounding men in black.

But sadly, as though she was curious, she didn't turn to acknowledge the presence of this mysterious figure as her attention was still preoccupied with the men who belittled her.

For the man situated on the left, she unleashed a feint as she did a roundhouse kick, causing him to faint upon impact. His body limped motionlessly on the floor, his shades shattered to pieces.

Her gaze then shifted to the other bodyguard, causing sweat to trickle from his forehead, as he felt the bloodlust that oozed from her petite figure.

The small girl rolled up her sleeves, revealing the white and delicate skin of a clearly trained and subtly muscular arm. With a cheeky grin, she ran, approaching him with blinding speed.

The girl leaped as if she wanted to throw a punch, but her position changed as she did a kick instead, causing the alarmed man to quickly protect his head as he was now on high alert after seeing his companion in such a state. But the man misread as the girl never intended to kick his head, but dealt a blow on his stomach instead, causing him to spit out blood as he winced in pain.

As his vision blurred, the man observed the girl spitting on both his and his companion's little brothers before turning her head to face his grimacing boss.

Yue XiFeng finally observed the main perpetrator with an odd expression, as she raised an eyebrow, "What do you want?" she exclaimed whilst leaning her body forward, swiftly assaulting the man with a kick.

With a leg close to his head, the man stepped closer to the girl as he quickly caught the kick with a hand, which resulted in the girl stumbling in the process.

Glaring at his lofty figure, she could finally make up his unearthly features from below, causing her to temporarily go into a dazed state as the man resembled someone familiar.

"...Li Qiang?" Her mouth uncontrollably opened as she widened her eyes in disbelief, understandably perplexed by his appearance. Seeing her expression, the man softly chuckled and a thin smile surfaced on his aloof expression, causing the surrounding faces of the bodyguards to subtly twitch.

The smile was as refreshing as a spring oasis in a barren desert, causing the parched travelers to be willing to sacrifice anything to drink it. Upon laying their sights on the infrequent expression on their boss's face, the same thought surfaced on their minds,

'Didn't he have facial paralysis?'

The bodyguards thought in unison.

Yue XiFeng smacked his extended hand as she stood up with a loathing expression, crossing her arms with a sharp glare directed towards the man.

"Indeed. It's been a while, Wu Yue."

The man spoke with a low voice as he gazed longingly at the delicate girl in front of him.

Tears uncontrollably fell from Yue XiFeng's eyes as she motioned a hand close towards his face. Li Qiang was surprised as he felt jovial upon her gesture, so he did nothing as a means to protect himself when he was caught off guard by a punch to his face.

"F*cking bastard. How the hell are you here!"

Yue XiFeng bellowed, her voice filled with contempt as she pointed a finger towards the man who now had a battered appearance.

With a solemn expression, he touched his face with disbelief as he boasted with his magnetic voice,

"I came here for you," he said with an indecipherable gaze.

Needless to say, Yue XiFeng was understandably baffled by the man's words, causing her to remain silent for a certain amount of time. But soon, a sneer coupled with a glum and regretful countenance could be seen across her ashen complexion.

"Heh." She snickered, "Unbelievable. Do you take me for a fool?"

Clasping her hands together, she poured the emotions suppressed deep within her during her life as an Empress.

"When we first married, I was exhilarated. Heck, I was even head over heels in love with you! But, what did I get in return for my dedication? 10 years of indifference. Do you know how it felt to be completely ignored by your husband for 10 whole years?! You never cared before, and now when I wish to be free, you suddenly appear right in front of me and even and stated that you came for me. Hah. Like I could believe that bullsh*t!"

With cold indifference reflected in her ash-colored eyes, the man known as Li Qiang felt anguished and disheartened as he tightly clenched his fist, regret unveiled in his alluring eyes.

Yue XiFeng snickered as her heart was numb, no longer caring of the man known as Li Qiang. Neither did she care about the consequences of offending him, as she was utterly fed up with him.

As the sun had started to set, as well as finding the entire situation to be bizarre and unbelievable, she picked up the school bag that she dropped and turned away to leave, grinning deviously with a dark expression in the process.

'Since you love me. I will treat you the same way you treated me.'

Turning her head, she revealed the devilish grin she was known for and walked towards the gates, unknowing of the fact that the man found her cute instead of scary.

It wasn't known at this point that she would regret this very decision for years to come as the man vehemently pestered her to no end, causing her mind to explode in frustration as he interfered in all her relationships, even friendships!

She left without questioning how the man knew of her and their past life together, as she no longer wanted to be affiliated with him. Numerous bodyguards intended to swoop in to obstruct her from leaving, but Li Qiang gestured otherwise, causing them to stop on their tracks.

"Do me a favor to never bother me again. I'm already sick of you." She declared as she waved her hand, her back facing the man's solemn expression.

Reaching the school gates, she saw her boyfriend nowhere to be seen and inwardly cursed, blaming the brazen man who delayed her.

But contrary to her assumptions and much to her dismay, he impertinently outright stalked her, causing her veins to pop out in distress! And she could do nothing about it since the punch she landed on him was out of luck and he was supposedly a 'rich young master', so she was stuck between a man and a wall, unable to do a thing.

Cursing the heavens yet again, she revealed a sinister expression, bloodlust oozing over the entire being that was day after day directed towards the man who constantly appeared before her.

Indeed, it had been three years, and he never missed a day to stop.
