Chapter 13: Final Clash
Due to the new skills and the activation of the creation skill, the Skill imbiber leveled up. From being low it became intermediate, and thanks to that my mana capacity which we thought was infinite, now had actual numerical numbers.
After sulking for a little bit due to the depressing turn of events, I regained my vigor and we sparred, just like the description of the Imbiber in the skill details I was able to regain my lost mana to its fullest after receiving the dragon's breathe which of course didn't kill me due to my high fire resistance skill.
"Wow you can actually recharge your mana using my Breathe?" The Dragon awed as he looked at me

after seeing the notification a whip sword just like Valentina appeared in my hand
"Let's spar" I said with a grin

To my dismay, I wasn't able to break the Dragon's barrier despite all the effort I made. I feel depressed again. The weapon forge is quite a useful skill, maybe when I get out? but right now, it's very useless, I have too low mastery on the weapon, I also have weak variable stats compared to the dragon, It feels so hopeless.
"I guess humans feed their inferiority by making destructive weapons like that, but no matter how exquisite a weapon is or how useless it is depends on the wielder." The Dragon said after extinguishing his fire sword
"My master did say the same thing, a legendary weapon is useless in the hands of an infant."

"To depend on something more fragile than our body is useless" He added before extinguishing the fire sword once again with disgust on his face, then he looked at me
"If I had to assess you, it seems like you are more confident with a sword or a whip than with magic. Why is that?"
"Well, I was born without magic, I was born with a broken core as you've seen when we first met. I came from a family which is blessed by mana, my father, the Emperor has vast mana capacity and had affinity to all attributes, my mother, the Empress, and my brothers had talent on that field as well. I was the only one in the royal family that doesn't have the blessing of mana, so at an early age, I decided that instead of being depressed about something like that, I will just train my body and spirit to be a swordsman."
"I am now seeing you in a different light, what a surprise" The Dragon said with an amused expression
and we continued to talk about our past like we usually do after sparring.

I do not know how long have I been locked in here. It feels like it had been an eternity, but thanks to the unlimited time, I managed to develop my skills and I reached a level where even I, doubt if I'm still human.
"I think the time when you will defeat me is drawing near" The Dragon said in his Dragon form out of no where
I did not answer, but I also know that it is drawing near.
The result of our previous spar had been a draw, and it had happened three times already.
"What will you do when we get out?" I asked the Dragon who had been here far longer than me
"hmm, I will find my kin." He said
"Wont you ask me what I will do when I get out of here?" I asked
"Why does it matter?"
"tsch, after the time we spent together, you do not feel even a ounce of affection towards me? What a cold Dragon" I mumbled
He did not answer and spent a couple of moments in silence. I don't know why, but for some reason, a big part of me kinda knew that this will be our last time together and surprisingly, a some part of me do not want it to end.
I was still thinking of what to do and how to deal with this emotions when I felt the Dragon move.
I jumped back, far from him and stood on my feet. The Dragon did not even wait for me to steady myself, he sent sharp ice projectiles towards me. I jumped back some more to avoid the Icicles.
"Are you that eager to go out?!!" I shouted
but the Dragon just kept on sending various types of range spells towards me, so I created a barrier to protect myself, but it did not withstand the attacks. some of the spells got through so I received some damage, which resulted in me, hissing with pain.

together with the pop up messages, 250 000 blue portals are formed around the Dragon and on each portal, the tip of the a whip sword is peeking. once I proceed with the action those whip swords will be released from the portal like a bullet from a gun.
But before doing that I have to destroy the Dragon's barrier, so I made various balls of electricity and water around me and sent all of it to the Dragon.
The Dragon made a huge tornado that swallowed all the ball of electricity and water that I tried to send to him. The tornado is now covered in fire from the sparks of the electric ball that collided with each other and is rapidly approaching me. I ran to my right and sent a wave of water like a tsunami to the raging fire tornado which swallowed the entire thing like it never actually existed in the first place
As I ran breathlessly, I conjured earth and stone giant golems. Three of them charged to the Dragon while the two ran towards the hind of the Dragon with the whip sword I gave them before hand.
Five giant golems are attacking the Dragon's Barrier with superhuman strength, The Dragon also attacked them using various spells but were ineffective specially to the stone golem.
I used this time to make my ultimate spell.
The golden ceiling earlier had been covered with thunder clouds all of a sudden, The wind is also raging like crazy even though the tornado earlier had been extinguished. the couches and other things around the room are also being swept by the strong wind. The earth began to shake like an earthquake, and various cracks are appearing on the smooth golden floor just a moment ago.
The spell isn't even half done but my mana is already bottoming out.
That's when the Dragon released its breathe, the golems that surrounded him a while ago melted like ice cream and the golden floor became magma. My bottoming out mana suddenly spikes up again even though I wasn't struck by his attack.

so the crazy spell I was doing kept going. various tornadoes are formed, both small and giant ones and blinding lightning kept on falling from the thunder clouds like rain.

The Lightning that kept on falling down like rain targets the Dragon's Barrier, so did the tornadoes. The Dragon who is the center of the disaster stopped throwing spells and strengthened its barrier, but because of the lack of mana which is the result of the Dragons breathe earlier, he wasn't able to maintain it. so instead of defense he shifted to offense.
The Dragon endured the damage from the lightning and the tornado and focused on recharging its Dragons breathe.
I did not let the chance go, so as soon as the barrier was gone, I released the whip swords from the portals and just like the lightning, sharp swords rained down the defenseless Dragon, some of the swords did not pierce his skin but some also got stuck. The Dragon staggered and the recharge of his Dragons breathe had been disrupted.
I'm also out of mana so all the portals that I opened earlier closed on their own but the storm was still there, lightning kept raining down, and the swords that got stuck on his body became conductors that doubled the damage done by the lightning.
the storm went on and on, until the time limit. The Dragon which was standing on his four legs earlier is not lying on the floor wheezing and groaning every time a lightning hit a sword that was stuck in his body.
I felt my heart ache at the view so I unconsciously held my heart and held my breath
What are you doing? the storm is almost subsiding, you have to do the finishing blow
The voice of the Dragon suddenly said in my head, it sounded weak and out of breathe so it pricked my heart once again
but I knew what I had to do, despite not knowing the result, I knew what I had to do.

I walked towards the Dragon, into the center of the storm. despite this, no thunder or tornado got in my way, so I peacefully walked towards him.
He was looking at me the entire time, with his obsidian black eyes, I do not even know what he's thinking, I do not know if he wanted me to stop, or wanted to tell me something, but I knew what I had to do.
I felt warm liquid ran down my cheeks and felt my heart sank, but I knew I had to do this. Even though I'm not sure if he will revive again, after this.
as soon as I got near his heart I raised my sword and looked at him for the last time, and to my dismay he wasn't looking at me, he closed his eyes waiting for his demise.
I hardened my grip on the sword hilt of the sword and poured every bit of mana left to reinforce my strength and attack power.

I was startled by the pop up message. I looked at the dragon with closed eyes once again and saw something amazing.
I was looking at him like he was in an X-ray, where I can see his bones, muscles, nerves and even the nerve impulses! I can also see other organs. I looked at his chest once again where his heart was and saw a massive heart, but unlike a normal heart it was covered with something hard, like a rock?
despite the surprise I still continued to bring the weapon down to his heart, and just like I anticipated it got stuck on the hard membrane around the heart, so I I used the remaining mana in me to cover the sword with electricity, The membrane cracked and the sword dug deeper, until it successfully pierced the Dragon's heart.
The heart eventually stopped beating and I was already lying on the floor exhausted and tired.
I felt my consciousness fade, I'm sleepy. For the first time after a long time, my body did not regenerate like it used to, to its normal state. I felt a little elated inside at the thought.
Right before losing consciousness, A message popped up
