Other Teams Fighting

(Mitch's POV)

"Chesca, 43 sky."

"Got it!" - Chesca

Me and Chesca are using muskets while relying on our eyesight and marksmanship level to clear off flying units. If none are detected, we aim for the larger monsters which are ogres or tree ents. However, this is the first time I saw something so surreal.

"A dragon? What's that doing here?"

"Dragon? Those barely existed in Terraria you know?" - Chesca

"I don't think it's from Terraria, it's from a different game most likely."

"A game that we don't know, so what do we do?" - Chesca

"Of course, shoot it down."

I immediately shot a bullet towards the dragon, but it was destroyed from the impact to the dragon.

"Those are hard scales. Maybe we aim for something softer Mitch." - Chesca

She is correct but, I want to test silver bullets first.

I loaded in a silver bullet and shot it to the dragon's body again.

As expected, it was destroyed.

"I told you, aim for the soft spots." - Chesca

"I know, I was just testing if piercing through its scales is possible."

I changed my aim to hit the dragon's wings as those are a little softer than the scales.

While firing multiple bullets one by one, the dragon started to breathe fire toward Denzel's group.

"That isn't good! The front line will fall apart on that!" - Chesca

Chesca starts firing more rapidly towards the wings of the dragon.

"Mitch, why aren't you firing?!" - Chesca

Slowly, I hovered my gun around to change my aim. Slowly and carefully, without using the scope I aimed it towards the dragon.

I then shot out one silver bullet.

"Mitch?! Hit the wings!" - Chesca

"Got him."

"What?!" - Chesca

Chesca looked at the dragon that was in pain. It starts shrieking all over as blood spurts out from its right eye.

(POV Shift: Robin's POV):

I'm flanking the whole enemy team from the right instead of receiving the front lines this time. I highly understood why since the front line group is a set of even number of Denzel's upbringings on his disciples?

I'm running through the trees, passing by all monsters and looking for a loophole to deal severe damage.

Just before nearing the raiders, Seymour sent me a message regarding the enemy's defenses.

"Robin, Julius, that barrier you guys have to penetrate is a shock and mana absorber. Attacking it will only benefit the enemy, set up an ambush and wait for their barrier to go down from exhaustion or choice of relocation." - Seymour

Wonderful, this information will surely help us in every way possible.

For now, I set up three attack runes by stabbing this runic sword to the ground. This sets up primed explosion magic that will explode once it senses hostile players. In other words, a fucking claymore.

I went nearby their barricade that was made to be very tough. This information alone made me conclude that the levels of Earth or Elemental mages that they have might be around a hundred.

Wait... Did I forget that this sword actually nullifies barriers? If that's the case then I could charge in!

I tried charging into the barrier but I just noticed something off. Three players with powerful guns showed within my eyesight and started shooting bullets at me.

"That's a fast shooting rifle, and it doesn't seem to have a reload function."

The bullets continue to shoot out endlessly, I started to hear footsteps a few seconds later so I started to plan out some things.

I moved through the barricade without being seen by anyone, but since they have sharp senses, I had to rush it.

The bullets are highly inaccurate, so most of it simply passed through without hitting me, or just simply caused waves of dust and dirt to hinder my view.

Sounds of bullets ejected rapidly from a firearm continue to pass through both my eyes and my ears.

"Tarot Card VIII - Justice! Activate!"

Currently, I am level ninety, while my opponents have levels going beyond the peak of one hundred. So using the Justice card is my only way to equalize the gap of level stats.

The stats that increased in numbers are temporary only, and will depend on the person's level stat. So if the enemy has a difference of stat numbers on their benefit, I have this tarot card that will increase my level by a maximum of ten for every enemy nearby.

I rushed towards the enemies and slashed them twice in two twirls, which caused them to step back quite a bit. I then took out a revolver which was sold to me by a traveling merchant, and shot three bullets each aiming for one enemy.

All three players dodged the attack neatly. However, that dodge gave me better chances.

I swung my runic blade and aimed for the machine gun. I shot another bullet to the musketeer on my left.

Two weapons clashed and resisted each other's strength.

"So this isn't enough as is huh?"

A bullet was shot from the right and hit my right shoulder.

"Agh!"

Feeling the pain that was brought to my right shoulder, I dashed backwards on instinct.

And since I stepped back, the rangers have repositioned themselves and started firing more bullets.

I shifted my position towards a safer place which is some cover, I tried to lure them towards the traps that I planted.

After running back into the trees I peeked back from cover to see if they followed.

But they didn't, so they're quite smart to just stand on their ground.

Can't really deal with them using traps and guerilla warfare.

"Plan B I guess."

I activated a method of communicating with Julius who is on the other side of the waves of monsters.

"Julius, you there?"

"Yeah, judging by what Seymour said, their barrier is defensive and beneficial to them. What's more is that it's protected as well just in case we have dispelling abilities." - Julius

"They're quite prepared huh?"

"Yeah, we can't do anything but wait until they push forward." - Julius

"Got it. For now, set up as many traps as you can while you clear up the number of monsters bit by bit on your side. I'll do the same here."

"Sure, be careful in case their higher ups show up. Some are just extremely hard to kill." - Julius

I returned my focus to the large wave of monsters and concentrated a vast amount of magic power.

I collected a huge amount of mana from my body and unleashed a large tremor into the path of the waves of monsters by stabbing my runic sword into the ground. Slowing them down and eliminating more than fifty summoned beasts. That's not a lot considering that it was a class 4 spell that I used. However, that might blow my cover here.

I checked my surroundings and noticed that there is no one onto me.

However, I was wrong when I suddenly heard Mitch's voice from the faction comms...

"Robin, three assassins have left the barrier and are onto you. Prepare yourself!" - Mitch

I immediately prepared myself, for an attack from the enemy. I then turned towards the barrier that the raid party made and stood in a prepared stance.

One guy in pure black equipment showed up to pursue and eliminate me. He immediately dashed forward in an attempt to execute me in one go. I made an attempt to block the sharp dagger but I noticed that there was a follow up that's on my left. I cancelled the block attempt and dashed to the right side instead. The third assassin was there and fired a bullet from a pile bunker aimed at my head. I simply tilted my head to dodge the bolt that was speeding towards me.

I then slid through a few meters before stopping and repositioning myself in a defensive stance.

"Tailwind."

I muttered the spell to boost my speed heavily for quick evasion and dexterity. Since the game will auto-reload bullets when using two hands I simply shot my revolver towards one of the assassins.

After dodging my bullet, I made amends by closing in to the enemy's position and slashing the assassin that just dodged my bullet, slashing out a large part of the armor one assassin splurged out blood and blew up into particles. Without any room to breathe I seared the enemy using highly converged sunlight.

It did deal heavy damage but my target managed to survive the blow.

However, while he was still blinded, I took the opportunity to quickly finish him off without waiting for the burning damage to kill him.

I cut off the head which blew into particles immediately.

Last guy teleported behind me and made a slash upwards with his dagger.

With enough margin of error considered, I received a blow on my back without having the wound too deep to cause Bleeding II effect.

I stepped forward to avoid such damage but I was unable to avoid taking such specially from two effects that were imbued to the daggers, which cause slowed regeneration and poison.

I immediately turned around to see no one behind me. My instincts kicked in and switched my handling on my sword into a stabbing manner. With that in mind I stabbed my rune to the air behind me without looking and relying on my calculations and luck.

After feeling flesh in my attack, I dropped my rune blade and turned around to shoot the last assassin in the eye with my revolver.

"That's all of them cleaned up I think."

I went to a large boulder and drank a potion that will refresh all status effects.

"Tarot card VIII - Justice, Dispel."

I'm gonna rest a bit before continuing the plan...
