Born To Be A Star

(Robin's POV):

Turning back time by a little bit…

Two swords clashed against each other, dispersing the mana that they pass through. I then started to bring out multiple searing blades to try and deal damage early on.

"How's your life as a star noble? Still lonely in your place?" - Reflection

"I'm gonna be a lot more honest as I've already gotten over myself since the beginning."

I sent three searing blades behind him and tried to make a pincer attack. I brought out the enchanted sword to try and fire a few glowing swords directly at it. I then fight off the enemy in an extremely dreadful battle with extreme preparation.

"What about May! She's gonna land on Denzel's hands!" - Reflection

"What are you talking about? He'll commit cheating? He's gonna be burnt by Seymour if he does."

In all honesty, our group has a set of rules that we must follow. Some are not exactly that serious but one thing is extremely tight. When it comes to love, do not cheat. The second one of the members get caught cheating, they will be a permanent experiment and most likely tortured to death.

My reflection dodged to the right which got me to regroup with the searing blades. I twirled counterclockwise and brought out my revolver out from the hidden spot and fired a few bullets.

"Cheh, you're gonna be defiant huh?" - Reflection

My reflection spat out some saliva downwards before bringing out a reflection of Mana Phaseblade. The clone then parried the three searing blades I sent out using Mana Breaker and dispersed all of it.

"My turn." - Reflection

The reflection brought out five searing blades and tried to attack me with it by surrounding me.

"Let's see who's stronger here." - Reflection

I fired more bullets toward my reflection and secretly enchanted myself.

"Tailwind..."

I only muttered to the point my mouth moved by a little bit. My reflection sent all five swords but I had slashed two with my Mana Breaker and had to dodge the other three from my back to my right.

I bent down on my back to avoid the three searing blades while aiming my pistol loaded with empowered light bullets to hit the Reflection. The reflection started dodging by hairsbreadth but had received minor scratches. That's first hit, I have to do even more than that just to do clear damage.

While thinking a little bit, I lost my balance and had to roll away from my reflection. I then stood up quickly and noticed three searing blades closing in my position. I loaded a mana dispersion bullet into my revolver and shot it towards one of the swords. The sword dodged but I made the bullet to ricochet from walls. I had to parry two swords as one slowed down to dodge.

The two swords dispersed while I made the last one chase me towards a convenient place.

I stopped and fired three bullets to my reflection. The reflection dodged the first two but flinched when he saw the searing blade disperse. That simple flinch got a bullet through his thigh and made him crouch down for a bit. Clean hit...

I dashed forward to try and eliminate my reflection before it could try to make a comeback. At this point I had only one thing in mind and it's to end everything down pretty quickly.

That in itself is a major mistake.

"Khh!"

Multiple searing blades showed up and attacked me from below. It suddenly phased out from the ground which didn't give me enough time to react. I got cut off in my cheeks and my body and started bleeding lightly. I had to dash back and cancel my attack to prevent further damage to my own body.

"Cheh, I thought I could end this pretty quickly."

"You thought you could, but of course I know how you work me." - Reflection

My reflection stood up and healed his own leg using illumination. I didn't use illumination because I cannot waste an ability with a long cooldown just for scratches. I simply charged towards my reflection while dispersing the searing blades once again and clashed swords.

After my Mana Breaker was stopped with the same weapon, I dropped it and made a spinning back kick without hesitation. It was also blocked by an arm instead. In that time frame, I tried to aim my revolver quickly towards the stomach but my reflection dodged to the side while dropping his copy of Mana Breaker.

He then brought out Heaven's Beacon and a copy of the revolver to shoot me down. I can't dodge!

I took even more damage from the bullets while lowering my leg down. At that point, my reflection charged in trying to eliminate me down in less then five seconds. Oh no, don't rush yourself.

I parried the Heaven's Beacon by taking out the enchanted sword and made it slide to my right while it was swung down. I then fired a few bullets at point blank range which created dangerous holes in my reflection.

At the same time I noticed that I also had lots of bruises in my body when he fired earlier. My reflection didn't flinch for the further damage and kicked my knee, making me instantly lose my balance and drop to the ground painfully. Without any time to react, I got struck in the gut a few times and sometimes in my face. I only had one solution but to bring out one searing blade sneakily and let it stay from a distance for a while.

I kept getting one-sidedly attacked by my reflection without any way to defend myself. After some time, I activated Illumination to fully heal myself but by the spin of luck I only healed myself by half.

"Nice Illumination there... Now that you're given the short end of the straw, I'll end you." - Reflection

Now!

I hovered my searing blade as he brought out five of it. He tried to end me by sending all five along with the one I made sneakily. I dodged all five searing blades he used and tricked him well that he's also controlling the sixth one. In that case, I made it turn within the split second he comes closer.

When my reflection stepped forward, I instantly turned the one searing blade in my control to target him instead. With very little time to react, the reflection continued to move forward without stopping. Thus, the searing blade I controlled manage to pierce through his chest.

"In fighting against me, expect that one of your searing blades is an impostor. Now that impostor kills you."

"You sneaky prick." - Reflection

I continued dodging all the attacks without stopping but I managed to get a lot of injuries and cuts but nothing extremely serious yet.

"Lingering Light!" - Reflection

A small beacon appeared on top and seared me a little bit from above.

"Lingering Light!" - Reflection

Another small beacon appeared to do the same thing.

"Khh!!!"

"Lingering Light!" - Reflection

Fuck that short cooldown!

Slowly but surely, I started gaining burns and bruises within the body that I wasn't able to focus against my reflection. He changed towards me and landed a lot of hits while bleeding out very badly.

I continued to try and dodge in a somewhat hindered state because of my injuries and bruises. I kept all the damage to a minimum as I simply wait my reflection to bleed out. After some time it was still alive that I noticed that my reflection was feeling desperation.

"Yo, had the tarot card active there?"

"Y-you! How'd you!?" - Reflection

"You're desperate, of course I'd know since this is once my weakness."

"When?!" - Reflection

"Earlier?"

While dodging and having a conversation, I managed to sneak a spinning back kick which hit the reflection and threw it off. More blood spat out from the chest. I knelt down sustaining a huge amount of injuries, burns, and bruises and looked at my reflection.

"You may be boosted with the justice card but..."

My reflection looked up as I come closer to its unmoving body.

"The second you show panic and desperation against anyone, you'll die."

I fired a bullet straight to the skull and finished off my reflection. I then sighed and started walking towards the exit without rest.

"Cheh... That was a tricky one, I'll have to head there..."

The light in my bracelet starts blinking at a dangerous level, which signals the fact that somebody is in danger. Shit, I have to be faster...

I went towards the large room at the end up the hallway and saw Jay thinking deeply while sitting down.

"Jay! Ridley! Rylle!"

"Robin!" - Jay

"Robin!" - Ridley

"Robin!" - Rylle

The three harmoniously noticed and shouted out their relief. Jay looked a little worried but I am not gonna waste a single second.

"Grace, where is she?"

"She's still in her side, we're waiting for her." - Jay

"I won't trust waiting, which hall did you guys come from?"

I showed them the bracelet which is blinking pretty bright, this tells enough that Grace is the one having trouble despite having lessons from me. If it's psychological attacks then she will be in trouble! I may have no idea about their past but they might have shit happening.

"Hurry!"

I led them quickly while forgetting that I have rough injuries while waiting for the cooldown of Illumination. It will be close, but I think Grace is gonna be using Michael's holy potion here.

When we arrived to a dead end, I had everyone step back for a bit as I started mining through the wall with a decent pickaxe.

I speedily finished mining through the wall and saw one sight.

Grace was crying while kneeling down to the ground, looking up to the katana of her reflection ready to slash her.

I aimed in extreme precision while thinking about the consequences. For now, I'll get the entrance flashy at the very least.

I shot the katana off the reflection and poured pressure to my gaze.

"This ends here indeed... Clone..."
